I haven't played HK yet, but this cannot be true. Momodora is pretty darn easy, especially when you get certain charms.

I wouldn't say that. I'm a 100% shitter and I managed to beat the 1 hit KO difficulty mode no problem (on my 2nd playthrough). It's all about memorizing enemy positions and boss patterns and the game is short as fuck, so it's not as tedious as HK.

If in doubt, just keep your distance and shoot your strongest arrows, dodge roll when shit comes your way.

Maybe on extreme difficulty when you have a sliver of health but even on hard the game is pretty easy.

Momodora's game design can be pretty dickish. It's full of "gotcha" moments like this.

Yeah, you just gotta scout out the rooms look at enemy placement and figure the fastest route. Works better than relying on raw reflexes but then again I have boomer tier reflexes so.

The game seems to be inspired by Bloodborne and they went with super edgy 2deep4u boss names like:

Well I'm find it much harder than HK. I almost never died in HK.

But I think HK is easier than Ori too. The difficulty in that game is overrated as fuck

I've stopped at the first encounter with thay girl that uses a needle as a weapon but the game is getting easier as I progress, not harder.

Monodora started really hard and has been getting harder as I progress.

None of the characters in Momodora are "important", save for maybe the knight lady that meet several times throughout the game. The story is kept very ambiguous/souls like.

The first fight for sure, since you need to fight her familiar first and you don't have any cool powers yet. The second fight can be cheesed in literally 2 seconds however.
