There's plenty of examples from both races even in your party with both Annie and Eugene, but at the same time there's examples of people overcoming race boundaries in an age where the Huma race was more or less emancipated due to the recent evolution in using force.
The love story between Milhaust and Agarte is a pretty central theme in the game for instance, Hilda as a character further expands on this and the theme of racism in general as does Militsa, Walto is also a character that starts out as an antagonist but ends up being one of the more understanding characters towards the end of the game and realizes the mistakes of the Gajuma and his own.
All in all, the narrative and development of the central themes is one of the tightest and better executed in the series.
Shame Yuris kind of ruins it at the end, but what can you do.

Then he ran off and made a bunch of marketing deals and tie-ins using Alisha, who he again never confirmed with the staff as to whether or not she was the heroine.

IDK what sounds more likely a producer making a genuine mistake because he failed to do his job properly, or a producer completely over stepping the boundary of his duty in spite of the marketing deals and contracts that he made?

If the game's sole problem was that it was unfinished, some part of it would be solid. It's not. The structure itself is rotten, pointing to consistent issues throughout development. That user is asking you to justify why Zestiria is such a disaster, and "I dunno" and "It wasn't finished" are not answers that justify everything wrong with the game.
