Am I the only one who got tired of witnessing all these new violent video games at the E3? When I look back at the shows from the yesterday, the most memorable game for me was a fucking child on a boat, hugging animals and cooking meals.

I liked the deer game
I just want to water plants and collect shells in animal crossing
That sounds really nice, user.
you are not alone. what's up with all the violence? it's like you can only appeal to kiddies these days if you show violence. pathetic...
Wait for nintendo like the soifag you are
Not only can you get a fucking child, a boat, hug animals and cook IRL, they're also better experienced that way. IRL violence isn't very practical plus isn't as fun as in video games so it makes sense that video games are about what we cannot feasibly do IRL.
I wish FPS's as a genre would just start to wane in popularity already. Or at least FPS's that aren't shooters. I'm tired of shooting things. I want to achieve goals in various other ways.
Where are my jump'n'runs?
I'm tired in the sense that violence is treated with levity and as a joke in a juvenile fashion. It makes me sad that violence is the go-to mechanic to build gameplay around and there is no signs of that changing with AAA games. It actually made me sick how the presenters at the Bethesda conference talked so excitedly about using nukes as weapons when the original Fallout games treated them with morbidity and fear of the thing humankind is capable of.
I just wish games would mature a bit while also having power fantasy shit like Doom but I guess I'll just have to get my non violent games from the indie space.
Shit, user. That was really well said.
That's because you have shit taste desu
Spiritfarer or whatever the fuck looks boring with its single saving point being the animation style
All I saw was a splash of pink and blue textures everywhere. Current mainstream games are absolute trash.
What was the name of that game?
I think that we got so used to violence that we ended up making it a childrens game
But I can't be a deer mom irl and guide my young through the atmospheric ruins of human civilisation.
>watching xbox conference
>somebody took the time to censor finger gestures in trailers and block out swearing
>meanwhile bullets are flying everywhere and killing people
>Spiritfarer is a cozy management game about dying. You play Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, a Spiritfarer. Build a boat to explore the world, then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife. Farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Join the adventure as Daffodil the cat, in two-player cooperative play. Spend relaxing quality time with your spirit passengers, create lasting memories, and, ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends. What will you leave behind?

I really wanted to play this too.
You already knew about Blazing Chrome? I guess it's more like a run'n'gun though.
