Why do mouse and keyboard players make controller users seethe so hard in fps games? can't they just adjust their look sensitivities and even the playing field
Why do mouse and keyboard players make controller users seethe so hard in fps games...
There is a world of difference when you can use your whole fucking arm to aim vs. your thumb, which is a few inches long and has two joints.
You cant. The the thumb will always be outperformed by your entire wrist when it comes to precision. Even when you see some console pro beet pc players in a game its because they are just better as individuals, they win inspite of the of the controller not because of it.
your wrist has to stay in line, its your arm you move you fucking pleb.
>his sensitivity is slower than 2 inches/360
lol enjoy getting circlestrafed slowpoke
Ask me how I know your a cod/csgo faggot
I'm pretty in the dark about FPS games, can anyone explain how the lowest sensitivity helps aiming?
It's like training with weighted boots. You get really proficient at low sensitivity and then when you put the sensitivity back you are a gaming god.
its 400dpi and usually 4 sensitivity depending on the game and its scaling.
i have a big mousepad and its actually not that much of a distance to travel.
what does two inch 360 even mean you idiot?
btw i am the one fucking you up constantly on any FPS and TPS.
because cod and cs are the only games on the market, do you know how fucking ridiculous that sounds? im a fucking boomer of 37 years.
it makes me seethe coz theyre using office tools in online games granting them an advantage
a mouse is made for extreme precision and control and hence the advantage. a controller was never designed to select individual pixels
d price they pay is discomfort of course
>mfw went from 5cm/360 to 30cm/360
more margin of error
>what does two inch 360 even mean you idiot
lmfao it means 5 times faster than the shit you use
no wonder you have to use your arm instead of your wrist
100% you faggots are mediocre at aiming. No one actually good cares about bullshit like this. Muscle memory must be developed, and all you faggots googling the best way to git gud, just never seem to play the game as much as someone that does.
I'm ranting, but I see so many faggots paying too much attention to shit like this and never playing the game and it frustrates me. Some of the people I know included.
retard
>tfw 18"/360°
>don't have problems because mousepad is a fucking MTG playmat
Now if only my desk wasn't too high.
>instead of
Nah nigga. It's arm to turn, wrist to aim. I used to play on a really high sens too, but it was way worse and offered way less control for me.
>no one good cares about keeping a consistent sensitivity across games
U wot. Using different sensitivities throws off your muscle memory. That's the whole point. It's also just fun to see what other anons use, but you clearly hate that. I'd agree with you if were talking about shit like what headphone/mouse/etc. brands we used or something though.
10"/360 is pretty optimal desu
Logitech G203
Logitech G613 Wireless
Xbox One Special Edition controller.
What color do you play? I'm a BW Chad myself
I'm in situation where i'm surrounded by ellite players, and no one i know pays attention to shit like this except tinkering with in-game stuff and playing by feel from there. Sure, there are always people that will fiddle with inis and games like r6 are an outlier due to how confusing tinkering with sensitivity is in this that game
If you up the sensitivity without also increasing the area you have to control, you decrease the resolution. You'll be able to turn faster, but you'll be less precise. Upping the sensitivity to a degree that's comparable to PCs means you'll be incredibly imprecise.
>high sens faggots
Big oof.
>being poor
desu I only use this thing for Dragons Dogma, KI, Eurotruck, and Forza. I havent played either of those 4 in a few months
>Corsair
>G"brick"502
>tiny ass mousepad
bro what are you doing
Are those grips comfy? I want to get a pair for my DualShock 4, but they all look so ugly
FPS thread? FPS thread. What’s the best non dead multiplayer FPS out right now?
I stopped playing a few years ago. Friends stopped being interested in any 60 that wasn't modern format, and mostly they just played EDH. EDH got boring real fucking fast, and I never had any interest in modern. I just wanted some format-less fun with 60 stuff where people tried to come up with their own decks and make those the best they could.
I liked a few combos though.
>BW Exalted was the first one I made
>UR with burn/counters to go with things like gelectrode (or guttersnipe if I wanted to be a huge dick) and that 1/4 that gained 3 power for each instant/sorcery cast.
>UWB thopter/artifact deck
>an aggro/control UWB deck with mostly 1-3 cost creatures that had good ETB effects and then Gideon and a couple Sun Titans for late.
Had some mono color stuff too. My EDH deck was just a Meren deck with all of the bullshit.
I think the higher you get in ranks for games, the more autistic people are about sensitivity by nature, whether they're high or low sens fags. Siege's sensitivity isn't confusing. There's what you have in game (3 sliders? hip fire+ ADS vert/horizontal) + your mouse DPI + the sens modifier in Siege's text file, which is easy enough to find.
they're not seething at all, they're just taking what they're given like the bunch of sheep they are.
Those are built into the controller via laser etching. They're not uncomfortable, I suppose.
I'm 5cm/360. What is it like at 30?
Apex Legends is unironically fun with the new mode if you have 2 friends to play with
R6 Siege is extremely fun if you have 2-4 friends to play with
Battalion 1944 is new and fun and has a good playerbase of FPS-boomers
It's a legitimately good keyboard. I had some issues on the keycap lettering though so I swapped them out. Also individually programmable backlights for my blind ass.
I loved my g500. The layout is perfect for me. The wheel tilt is especially versatile. However, finding a g500 these days at a decent price is p.hard, so I settled witht he 502. It's still a good mouse, it just looks ugly.
i play with high sensitivity so i don't really need a big pad+it's my free one from the one Yea Forums thread
Nothing wrong with it if it works for you but
Corsair/Logitech/Steelseries are like the bottom tier of mechanical keyboards because they have cheap materials and build quality and you can get something much better for the same price
And the g502 is extremely fucking heavy, pretty much every FPS player in existence has realized that low sensitivity + lightweight mouse brings the best results.
For reference the g502 weighs 121 grams and the Glorious Model O (new hype mouse) weighs 69 grams
At first very awkward how little your crosshair moves, but after a few days you're magically much better at sniping.
>dpi switch
>dab on controllers repeatedly
I'm aware of the weight. It's actually what I prefer. I even upped it a little with with the included bearings. I might try out a lighter mouse when I set aside some money because I've heard the same thing, but for now I'm pretty content.
I got used in like 2 hours of team fortress 2.
dunno if it's a placebo, but I feel more consistent now
I heard 1944 performance is pretty bad, how would it run on a 1050, i3, and 16 GB of RAM?
it would probably run pretty poorly but with steams refund policy you can always try it out
I've actually experienced it myself even tho I'm not a good FPS player. I stopped playing Overwatch in around season 4 or 5 (3900 rating) and then moved on to other, more casual games. Yesterday I came back to play some QP and I was missing a shitton of shots because of muscle and eye memory loss. I tried to remember my settings and started getting autistic about my aim, hand position, etc, but then I just went to play the game and after a couple of hours of non-stop gameplay my aiming mishaps were ceasing at a reasonable pace. I recall when I started playing I never gave a fuck about sensivity or whatnot, just played the game and it all worked out for me.
I changed sens just once, dude
it's not like I'm constantly changing to find "the perfect sens"
Might just get Siege then, thanks for the help user
Is Battalion like a WW2 CS and without the lack of feedback in gunplay? 'Cause that's what it looks like.
>don't like BRs or hero shooters
>fucking everything is a hero shooter or BR
I wish Siege would go back to the year one operator design where it didn't feel like Overwatch in a more realistic setting
I'd vote for Squad. R6 seems solid, but I dislike the community, so better get some friends to play with you. Apex Legends is all right if you're ok with battle royale. Battlefield is shit, Overwatch is shit, Quake is dead shit.
It's tacticool and it has a high skill floor, but if your aim is already good then you can learn it pretty fast
Personally the game is unplayable without friends because it can be a bit slow and coordinating good breaches and defences with the bros is a ton of fun.
It's kind of like a fast paced modern version of COD4 S&D or CS 1.6. Really low TTK so aim is everything.
High sensitivity allows you to get to the target, but god knows if you'll hit anything. Low sensitivity means you miss almost all of your opportunities, but can take well-timed shots.
This is an issue because an analog stick has defined starts and ends, while a mouse can go for as long as your mousepad is (and if we're talking competitive, that's at least a couple feet). There's no precision or distance sacrifice.
Everything seems to die so quickly
>some guys i play on ps4 with get me to buy rainbow 6
>get into a match
>lock in the guy that has grenade charges that go through walls and shoot into the room
>walk up to an objective
>buddies have killed some enemies already
>decide im gonna use this grenade wall shooter thing on this wooden window thing
>do it, kill a guy
>"watch out guys theres a hostage in there!" from the most experienced rainbow six player in the group
>"there is?"
csgo for when I want to play an arcade FPS
tf2 for when I want to have fun
Extracted that hostage straight to heaven. In all seriousness, fuck hostage mode. It did not work well at all in Siege.
forgot to mention, after spamming all of my grenade charges into the room i somehow managed to not kill the hostage
If attackers win hostage it means that all defenders died, veeeeeeeeeeeery rarely does the hostage ever get rescued
I just play Killing Floor and Doom wads because I think most of the alive ones are fucking shit. I play Tarkov too, but that game has a ton of fucking problems on top of having pretty niche appeal to people, so it's not something I'd blindly recommend.
>Low sensitivity means you miss almost all of your opportunities
I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion, or what does "opportunity" means in this context. I assume you're talking about quick 180 flicks. With practice you can pull off these on low sens as well. I don't see how low sensitivity will affect your ability to take a quick shot within a short time window, provided you're familiar with these sens settings.
Bullshit. I don't believe you.
I remember many a hostage game ending because attackers grabbed the hostage, walked 10 feet to the nearest door/window, and ended the game after killing the 2 people anchoring there. The other problem with hostage is that, because there's so little counterplay once the hostage gets grabbed, half of the defenders have to play objectively terrible spots in most of the sites because you have to babysit so hard and can't roam as much, which means killing all the defenders just got way easier.
yeah, the group i played with didnt believe it either
>Low sensitivity means you miss almost all of your opportunities
What do you mean, that you can't turn enough? That's only an issue if you aren't used to it and/or don't have enough mousepad space, which is easily amended.
I'm talking about controllers, where there is a maximum amount of distance you can move in a specific time window.
OP was asking if controller players could simply adjust their sensitivity (as if they had DPI toggle buttons).
Oh, that makes sense. I'm a dumbass. I wasn't sure what you meant by the sticks having defined starts and ends, so I didn't connect the two points.
