I admit the game kinda starts with a rough around the edges feel, but the game lets you overcome its intentional flaws
when you walk around the dark world and take no damage late game, you feel like a champ. no game matches that progression.

Prime 2 is worse because most of the bosses are obnoxiously hard, only Quadraxis and Emperor Ing are fun.
Also Alpha Bogg is the worst boss fight ever. Prove me wrong.

assets were all dumped, but general story and maybe a few music tracks probably carried over. Gyroscopy tech probably as well if they got to that point. Problem was most likely lack of focused design

3 kind of sucks honestly, the dialogue is uniformly corny and unnecessary, the wii gimmicks are extremely grating seriously the bosses being forced free aim was fucking obnoxious, Dark Samus's design looks fucking stupid compared to Prime 2, and the pacing is legitimately awful. Pirate Homeworld feels like it's 1/3 of the way through the game when you finish it but then 30 minutes later the game is literally over. Other than obviously OM I think it's legitimately the worst Metroid game and would probably only rate it a 6/10.

I feel like they could really make a whole new IP out of the format by expanding on the Federation angle, but the character of Samus Aran doesn't fit too well into the FPS genre as compared to the 2D action/adventure shooter style considering how gymnastic she is and how shitty platforming works in first-person.

Dark World is annoying until you get the Dark Suit, which is pretty early game. After that, game is great. It's just Prime 1 but with a better atmosphere

I didn't even count those, they're a non-threat and they're over in like one minute. I consider them atmosphere building more than I consider them boss fights.
It's under water before you get the gravity booster and it charges faster than you can strafe, nigger. It does like 4 tanks of damage with one hit. It's a fucking bullshit fight.

I try to tie them because it's rough comparing 2D and 3D Metroid in terms of combat, I like the control of 2D way more but the 3D bosses can be more creative
They also have the best boss themes, though Prime 3 does great there as well

Fusion's bisses are complete fucking bullshit too, only Nightmare and Ridley are good, SA-X has retarded ai but is still to fucking hard regardless and Yakuza is too stupidly easy to cheese, every other boss and miniboss in the ENTIRE GAME is teeth grindingly frustrating. Bosses are the absolute fucking WORST part of Fusion and it's tied for dead fucking last with Echoes in the category.

the first time I played Metroid Prime, I kind of disliked it, I didn't understand. Then I got to the pirate base in Phendrana Drifts, and everything clicked into place. From that point onward, I wanted my metroid lore-heavy

I had an amazing time with Prime 3. While the "immersive" Wiimote sections were dumb, like activating the train with levers and whatnot -- shooting was the best possible. How can you legitimately hate on aiming with the Wiimote. It is literally the most accurate aiming on a console, period. Potentially faster and more accurate than using a mouse. So I'm not sure about your complaint.

Also, Skytown Elysia is one of the best worlds created. From the music to the exploration to the world building to the awe -- it was a pleasure to be there.

Better boss fights mechanically, better boss music and only slightly worse area themes just because of the dark world, Torvus and Sanc are still better than most of Prime 1's themes, much more interconnected world, more unique powerups instead of just being a Super Metroid copy with the boost ball added, Dark Samus

a lot of games from the gen 6 look odd in HD because the polygon count doesnt match the quality of the other things like textures, antialiasing and resolution imo.
the controls of the original prime do really bother me though
