West Coast best coast

Because it pisses off faggots who think 1 is the best and has their smarmy asses get angry.

There was never a man like my Johnny.

actually encourages roleplaying

it's a good game

It's because you just posted best girl

But that's not my cowboy ghoul dominatrix gf

Attached: Beatrix proverb.jpg (1280x800, 250K)

I don't, it's a buggy piece of shit with awful gunplay and the same issues a Bethesda game would have.

its what fallout 3 should've been

By every metric Fallout 3 was superior to New Vegas and Fallout 4 was better than both combined.

>37
>cucks you
>alcoholic
Quite literally the worst...

Attached: 1557097559378.jpg (1024x377, 59K)

Nevada is considered west coast?

I meant east then

johnny guitar.
if she wasn't a ghoul, she'd be perfection
dude, at least put some effort into your trolling

>cucks you
>likes to party
what's not to like?

What
Do you know where Nevada is

Left side of the USA, so it'd be west coast

>playing as a female courier

It would be west coast... If Nevada was on a fucking coast

because the wild west / 1950s/60s vegas themes are fucking cool and make things interesting unlike fallout 3 where its just a lifeless wasteland

Yes, but it's not on the coast. So it's just in the west.

>implying any of those are a bad thing

QUIET

Attached: 1470463542963.png (601x595, 312K)

You know this game takes place in California too, right?

Nothing hotter than having best girl Cass tell you she took a huge dick like a champ

Like the one they call... Johnny guitar

Where?

LOUISIANA WOMAN

>he doesnt know

It's got a great aesthetic.
The story rolls you through so many themes and genres that you genuinely feel like you've finished a journey when you complete it.
Lots of cool guns, somewhat faithful to real life counterparts unlike 3/4s watered down version of things like AKs and Thompson's. When you get an old AR-10 then you know the developers seriously have an eye for that stuff.
The greater themes of the series are fleshed out and addressed more through characters like Elijah, Ulysses, House, and all the companions. They want you to understand that not letting go of the past is what keeps the wasteland the way it is and they explore that idea through a different angle every character.
All that and everything in 4/76 is just a fucking meme. Nuka cola and vault tec own/make everything like they're fucking ACME. Nukes are portrayed like they're a trendy staple of fun and not... A horrendous act of genocide. Every outfit looks like it was made for cosplay fuel and not world immersion. Building mechanics and sarcastic dialogue are just cheap ways to get the game on the front page of twitch.

The developers cared about the game. How can I not love that.

Nipton, Mojave Outpost, Big MT, The Divide

>trolling

Fallout 4 had a better story, better graphics, better gameplay, a settlement building system, better characters and companions, the best version of Dogmeat, and the best sound and music design in the series. It's better than either of the other games by a mile.

>Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
What did they mean by this?

>don't get cucked

Shit man, you can take my (you) I haven't laughed that hard in ages

Attached: 1553721562441.jpg (373x598, 106K)

I want to know if Cass' VA was only hired for Outer Worlds' trailer, or if she's voicing a character in the game.

Cass is Bisexual so she can still cuck u bro

Nipton isn't marked because it's such a tiny place but as you can see in game, it's literally right on top of the state line. You can even re-enact that America/Australia scene from the Simpsons with the rail track.

And in case you didn't know, Fortification Hill is in Arizona. The Deathclaw Promontory as well, I guess.

Attached: map.jpg (604x477, 24K)

Here is your (you)

>can
Good thing it doesn't happen in a female courier's ending

Great story with actual choice and agency, better gameplay than 3 (especially if you go melee), more interesting aesthetic and world
You can be a katana-swinging assassin, gay cowboy, a complete dumbass (and actually get some speech options to reinforce that) that’s good at smashing stuff, a Legion supporter who genuinely believes they’re doing what’s right, a manipulative snake, whatever
Whereas in Fallout 4 you get a “skill check” maybe once every few years, and it’s just a charisma option that you can still someone fail if you max it out
Not to mention New Vegas has some of the best RPG DLCs ever, especially Dead Money
So that was really her? I thought my ears were deceiving me. As far as I know her VA hasn’t done anything else in ages

wait, how do i get Cass to cuck me?

>people still seething about old roastie when the game gives you better waifus

>only sleep with you once you've been a good little errand boy and given their businesses a huge boost

she sleeps with ncr soldier instead of you in ending because you are long gone.

Male courier in NCR ending
Sarah really creeped me out, she was like a fucking robot
Best girl is clearly Christine

I'm reinstalling New Vegas on my old PS3 right now. I'll be modding the shit out of it, up to it's limits. Wish me luck.

How is she cucking you when you aren't her lover

THIS.
so she's not cucking, she's just moving on with her life.

Because she spoke to you, that makes you man and wife

Ask the losers who keep crying about it. The game looks like shit to be waifuing anybody.

I had a crush on her and she fucked another guy, therefore she cucked me.

I think the guy who modelled her face made a mistake

Attached: 3_of_Hearts.jpg (372x521, 101K)

Ranger Ghost>Cass
Fight me

On that note, anyone know any mods that'll let me take her as a companion/lover?

not even the mods fix the ugliness of the game.

You don't know the half of it

Attached: 1155425-1403540056.jpg (1698x1672, 770K)

Honestly as far as NV-engine characters go Cass is one of the best looking. Veronica is supposedly attractive and she just looks awful in the engine.

Cass's snatch probably smells like rotten tuna left out on a hot summers day, and that's a good thing

While the faces being fixed would be nice...I'll be honest, Bethesda's jank fucking faces due to their engine kinda work in favor of a Fallout game, since the faces have ALWAYS been a bit weird looking. If anything, the weird ass faces are consistent with prior games in the series.

but that's not what "cucking" is.

In my experience most make it even worse

If Elijah, Joshua Graham, Ulysses and Boone got into a fight, who would win?

>rotten tuna left out on a hot summers day,
have you ever smelled a rotten tuna left out on a hot summers day or is that an allegory to the elusive foul smell of an unwashed vagine?

Attached: 1517686064_1516710225628.jpg (600x485, 40K)

I just tried to think of the most foul smelling thing

inb4 dracomies see that 1 retard who is so passionate about the old faces he never releases NVR4

Some of them look okay. I don’t remember fallout 3 being any better in this regard
Dragon’s Dogma-quality character creators should be mandated in RPGs by now

It depends. In a straight up fight I'd bet on Graham.

Well you have just said she smelled like your mom.

There's literally nothing wrong with them

Epic fail

could of*

its almost like its a shitty engine

I like it but I prefer 3 more since the world and characters are better in 3.

Found the retards.

Attached: tenor.gif (400x206, 3.34M)

Reminder that if you were where that NCR guy was Cass would have fucked you instead in one of the endings.

Simply running the game with all DLC will be pushing the PS3 to its limits.

that's a mighty controversial opinion to have around these parts, partner. how about you head on back to your nigger loving east coast and leave us westerners out of your sodomy and sin?

>world
More detailed, I guess
>characters
Oh you're shitposting

They all look like burnt Barbie and Kent dolls Jesus Christ!

Everything about the Fallout 3+ engine was mediocre when it came out. The only thing that wasn't too bad was the ragdoll physics on the bodies.

Elijah would win if he had prep time
Burned Man if they were just stuck together in an arena
Ulysses would win if they were all tied up because he would just philosophize them to death
Outside of gameplay I don’t think Boone is meant to be particularly amazing in a fight, he’s just a good sniper

NV was the first game I got for the ps3. I didn't even have Wi-Fi back then so I played the entire game unpatched. Anyone else remember the food sanitizer in the repcon basement?

The only good characters in NV are Joshua Graham and Boone. Everyone other major character doesn't even feel like they're an actual person. They're just mouthpieces for their particular ideology.

If they have their standard gear, Ulysses
Evenly matched, Graham

I worked in a conservation Corp in Nevada/Arizona/Utah for a year so I have a real affinity for the location

I don't see Klamath Frog

Attached: Klamath_Bob.jpg (1206x862, 450K)

This CE is the only one I own, and god damn was it worth 80$

fallout 3 was better and yes that is in part because of my nostalgia goggles

yes man is the best man

Mix of near text-based rpg tier level writing and decision making options combined with the accessibility and primal pleasure provided by a high budget 3D game

It's comfy and there's a million ways to play it, some speech checks still amuse me to this day.

>Once
>He doesn't know

Attached: 1549203206174.jpg (1039x1004, 109K)

My main man Ulysses of course
>Ten (10) points in every SPECIAL stat
>One thousand (1000)+ hit points
>Eighteen (18) DT
>Ten (10)% DR

Nah, I've modded that game on the PS3 before, you'd be surprised the kind of shit you can do with it. I think I managed to have like 50 mods at once at one point.

I played fo3 in 2018 for the first time and I think it's better than NV.

And I actually hate iron sights. Or at least, NV's bad iron sights to the point that one of the reasons that fo3 is better is because it doesn't have NV's iron sights given how awkwardly designed the weapons are.

He's definitely the funniest
youtu.be/8k9OYIfG8C4

>18 DT
Graham has 50, which is more than the Remnants PA and Helmet together

It's rather unhealthy to judge every woman you meet on their ability to satisfy your vision of the perfect housewife.

And for comparison, who exactly in F3 do you consider a well-written character?

>no reading comprehension
Go back and re-read that sentence until you know what it's saying you ESL mongoloid

agoraphobic and always ready ti go.

Ulysses is literally an NPC PC, of course he would win.

>cass
>mouthpiece for her particular ideology
The only character who kind of fits what you’re saying is Ulysses, by design.

>tfw new vegas is one of your favourite games but you're too stupid to get mods working properly

Attached: nceearr.jpg (1920x1560, 352K)

SPECIAL doesn’t count for shit lore-wise, Boone has 3 INT which would make him clinically retarded

Read mod pages, don't go throwing everything into your game blindly
Use MO2, it keeps mods seperate so if something goes wrong it's not going to fuck up your install
Follow Fear and Loathing in New Vegas if you're absolutely new and have no idea what to do, for a general guide to modding.

You can sleep with them anytime to get Well Rested

Graham vs Ulysses

Same, I’ve never played it with mods. Sometimes I wonder if I’m missing out.

Or you can follow the Viva New Vegas guide. It's written with like autism levels of details.

Legate Graham > HH Graham > Elijah in his prime > Ulysses > Boone > Insane Elijah

Because they try, they really do but the engine fucks them so hard

I like how Ulysses suddenly stopped firing and just stood still during the first match, probably stuck navel gazing and pondering history and symbols again

Being a crazy wasteland wandering hobo with a drug addiction is the only reason Elijah is as tough as he is. He was a Scribe, not a Paladin. A bookworm.

Which was the best DLC and why was it Dead Money

Best on first playthrough:
DM > LR > OWB > HH
Best on replay:
OWB > HH > LR > DM

Being insane didn't help when Courier Six literally ran circles and trapped him in the Sierra Madre Casino

It’s true that DM and LR, being so story-focused, end up relatively linear and don’t have that much replay value.
I don’t see how anyone could put Honest Hearts in front of anything though, aside from Joshua himself and the Survivalist’s logs the whole DLC was painfully boring. A bunch of fetch quests through (admittedly beautiful) Zion Canyon and a laughable final mission where you jog down the entire map while fighting a grand total of maybe 10 White Legs along the way

>implying the feral ghoul noises and flesh falling off mid coitus doesn't make it hotter

Why dead money first? I found it more enjoyable to go through the other ones first to get a background of DM

Courier Six is an unstoppable monster. Until then all he'd had to put up with was living in the Sierra Madre for god knows how long which would be impossible for a normal drug addicted hobo but he had the power of insanity.

>Cass lived to see Hoover Dam in its Old World glory, humming with power the likes of which the Mojave had never seen. Vegas burned brighter than ever, securitrons filled the streets, and Cass's heart skipped... just a little. Her last words were to the Dam - and to herself. "We were going full speed ahead... but facing backwards the whole time."

what did she mean by this?

Attached: 1514843094923.gif (750x750, 1.87M)

Elijah’s strengths have always been his brain, not his brawn. He evaded Christine by sending explosive collared ghouls after her, used trains as battering rams to escape the Big MT, and singlehandedly worked out a plan to get to the Sierra Madre vault wth minimum danger to himself. But the moment it came to an actual showdown with the Courier he got decimated pretty easily.

I put HH that high because I've played all the DLC 10+ times at this point
DM has literally no challenge if you know where the radios are, is the main problem. You blow through the villa in ~15 minutes not including dialogue and then the villa is literally nothing.

>background of DM
DM is chronologically first though and serves as a preview for some of the cool tech in OWB. OWB and DM are connected but why would you play OWB first? HH and LR don't tie that strongly into DM.

I’m pretty sure he’s ranking them, not saying the order in which you should play them
But it was meant to be played in release order (DM, HH, OWB, LR), and the foreshadowing and everything is written that way (to lead up to the big showdown with Ulysses). HH is the only one that doesn’t really fit into this story arc, but even then Graham mentions Ulysses and the Divide
She inherited her dad’s heart condition and dies of a heart attack. It’s whg she gets so pissy when you use drugs despite being an alcoholic herself.

>then the villa is literally nothing
obviously i meant the casino

*Turns 360 degrees and walks away*

Attached: fd1.gif (300x200, 46K)

Nope, you already fucked up

Reminder Cassidy is the daughter of John Cassidy who was bar none the best party member in Fallout 2.

>Fallout 4 had a better story,
Don't tip your hand so early

Call me autistic, but it is the only game that I consider immersive. You can actually get lost into the feeling of the game, even with the dated graphics.

The music helps a lot in that I can still sing a long to "Lone Star"

I want to cuddle Arcade

Attached: 1380338466915.jpg (525x505, 91K)

I never found the radios to be the main challenge in Dead Money, since I always played it extremely cautiously. For me it was the segment where you have to sprint through about four dozen Ghost People to escape the clock tower, and on Hardcore mode the Cloud in general
also the playthrough where I accidentally hit quicksave while fucking around after Elijah died and had to replay the escape from the vault almost 80 times till my reflexes were pitch perfect enough to escape in time

You're autistic but so am I

She dies and disapproves of House.

It's a reference to the Great Gatsby
>Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter — to-morrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther. . . . And one fine morning ——

>So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

It relates by New Vegas being basically the last remnant of the old world untainted by the Wasteland and how the only way everyone can make progress (NCR, Legion, House) is looking back at the past and imitating it

Cass is the man, no scratch that: all of Fallout 2 companions are great

Attached: fallout_john_cassidy.jpg (680x352, 42K)

Fuck Arcade. He has less dialogue than fucking Rex. I hope he gets enslaved by a Freeside junkie, then maybe he’ll realize he’s not “really quite boring” after all

I never really had a problem with the ghost people
On hardcore I just let my health sit at 1, then when there's a red tick on my compass, eat some food then punch them to death, which usually only takes 1-2 hits.
The cloud constantly draining health was a really dumb decision though, should have just made it cause some hallucinations and decrease AP regen or something.

>Fuck Arcade.
If you insist

Attached: 1380338059002.jpg (400x800, 91K)

>It relates by New Vegas being basically the last remnant of the old world untainted by the Wasteland and how the only way everyone can make progress (NCR, Legion, House) is looking back at the past and imitating it
So they want to begin again, but they can’t let go?
Let me guess, Chris Avellone wrote Cass

Cass, General Oliver and Lanius

Yes he did actually, he didn't have that much work in the base game, but he wrote Cass in her entirety.

yes but only after you do errands for them, hence his original sentence

new obsidian.

Attached: 1553168702894.jpg (1192x3786, 1.13M)

So you really are retarded.

It's pottery because New Vegas rhymes

>You can actually get lost into the feeling of the game, even with the dated graphics.
play Morrowind.

Don't remind me.
>Our game we're selling to you and profiting off of is about taking down capitalism!
>Aren't we sticking it to Bloomf?

Attached: 1560129077414.png (819x745, 251K)

It really does have a great aesthetic. I only wonder what kind of people still used wheelguns and levergats in the 2070's, and if/why the Gun Runners feel the need to make them when they create 12mm SMGs and stuff

Other fun geographical fact: jacobstown is based on the real jacobstown in the rockies in Colorado. It was cool going there in real life. Also got to go to the real life prospector saloon in goodsprings, nv, that was a trip.

miss

Mr. House is the only one with a real and good plan for the future

Attached: newvegas.jpg (465x465, 41K)

Jacobstown is based on the shit that's actually up Mt Charleston in real life

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Charleston,_Nevada

I have a real and good plan for the future of New Vegas and it involves cunny power.

Agree

The man definitely has range. I loved Lanius and loved the ways you could deal with Oliver
Well letting go of the past is pretty much the central theme of New Vegas although it only becomes very obvious in the DLCs

I like the wild west setting and gun variety.

His real and good plan barely extends past the city he loves (yeah he wants to take humanity into space but i doubt he has any concrete plans thought out) and like Caeser, it’s far too dependent on his survival and the loyalty of his subordinates.

Attached: iStock_000004312564XSmall1.jpg (464x259, 145K)

This game has such a strange feel to it at night. Its comfy, but also unnerving. Especially when looking at the moon. I have never played a game that gives you a feeling of nostalgia, longing, and melancholy in such a weird way as this game does at night

Me House may be smart but he has shit people skills
>recruited the Omertas
>a tribe renowned for betraying people
>keeps them because "muh Vegas needs a criminal element"
>they betray him surprising nobody
>causes Benny, his own prodigy to betray him because Benny got annoyed when House left him out of the loop for seven years and didn't see the problem in the lack of communication
>kills off the Brotherhood of Steel without even trying to negotiate because he can't stand having somebody with a tech dick as big as him
He's one of the better choices but he has flaws too

>Las Vegas is actually a real fucking place

Attached: 20234-Las-Vegas-Strip.jpg (2560x1440, 741K)

>the guy who spent 15 years building robots and anti-nuke systems beneath the nose of the Enclave because maths told him the exact day nuclear war would begin isn't also the kind of man who has 100 years of economy reform planned out
>thinking he's limited to New Vegas when he effectively declares himself ruler of the Mojave with the foundation of the Free Economic Zone of New Vegas

Attached: Spaaaaaacceeeeee.jpg (1280x720, 196K)

the brotherhood is a ticking time bomb, they would absolutely attack vegas and house for using technology. and he did try, he sent out a securitron that ended up destroyed

America isn't just a fictional universe

Attached: us06pol.gif (1412x1061, 289K)

Maybe with mods. Vanilla nights are fucking horrible, too bright.

>maths

Aw shit you're right. I could have sworn i went to a place called Jacobstown in the rocky mountains like 6 years ago. I cant find anything on it now but there was a place that looked a lot like jacobstown from nv. It must have had a similar name or something.

Attached: HABEEB IT.jpg (512x407, 83K)

Reminder that there's a fully voiced option where you can negotiate peace between House and the Brotherhood and was removed simply because it would have been objectively the best option.

I don't know about that one.

That was just a roving securitron, it wasn't on a diplomatic mission. As for the Brotherhood, he could have tried to at least negotiate a treaty with them exchanging tech before choosing the nuclear option
Wait, what gimme a link

Benny betrayed House because he thought he could betray him. He killed his tribe's leader so he could sell out to House and mistakenly believed he could do the same to him by using the Platinum Chip despite having no idea what it actually did. House might say it may have been his fault for not grooming Benny sooner but the guy was a fucking idiot.

The BoS can't be reasoned with. You find that out for yourself. The closest they come to reason is a truce with NCR, one they intent to break if they ever link up with the rest of the Western BoS.

The Omertas were a mistake but their reasoning for betraying House is retarded. Their issue was he didn't speak to them because apparently being given a simple job and told to do whatever they like was too much freedom for them to handle.

>a fucking desert

Is the whole Baja thing the troopers talk in NV right?

Baja California, most likely

God, this makes me want more good fallout games so bad. So much story left to explore.

Fallout game set in Alaska when? With DLC in Hawaii of course

You got Anchorage and you'll like it

Anchorage was the worst DLC for Fallout 3 and that’s saying something when Mothership Zeta exists
Bethesda really have no idea what the fuck they’re doing

Attached: 1551072926384.jpg (820x621, 138K)

cringe loser

Benny actually has a really cool comic that nobody has ever fucking read which explains a bit more of his personality. Benny's whole thing is that he refuses to becoming a shitty tribal again which is why he killed his tribe's leader for wanting no part in New Vegas, obliterated his tribe's culture, and betrayed House is because he likes being civilized and not needing to scavenge to survive. As for taking the Platinum Chip it was an obvious gamble, I mean him getting it alone proves that House isn't perfect along with the mere fact Yes Man exists.

Eh, I just played the game for the first time a year ago

Thanks!

I liked point lookout. I didn't like a single one of new vegas' DLC.

All fallout games are trash.

Why are you here then among this so called garbage?

Because it has way cooler guns than 4/76

BDF has arrived

Attached: 1559125613393.jpg (680x813, 56K)

What didn’t you like about the new Vegas DLCs? I found Point Lookout the best of the bunch, sure

put your tripcode back on piperfag we know its you

Subpar storylines, no real reward for completing them. Just felt like a chore to complete them more than anything else. The sierra madre one especially. So many asshole decisions by the devs in that one.

Who here runs pistol, sniper rifle, katana and riot shotgun?
Fun combination. I like being a ninja-gunslinger with a shotgun for emergencies.

>no real reward for completing them
This is some low effort bait, jesus christ

>no real reward for completing them
I bet you loved Anchorage

>Infinite weapon repair kits and .308 ammo isn't a reward

Attached: DKyou.webm (1280x720, 359K)

>subpar storylines
Is this a joke? Dead Money alone is better than anything that fag Emil has ever written
>no real reward for completing them
You are aware of how absurdly overpowered some of the DLC rewards can make you, right?
Dead Money throws insane amounts of pre-war money at you and gives you the best energy weapon in the game for free. Honest Hearts, well the autistic balanceman did that one so it's an exception. OWB was rewards, rewards, rewards throughout. Lonesome Road gave you a big chest full of endgame equipment and turned ED-E into the most useful companion in the game if fully upgraded.

see , retard

I mean reward as in it feels rewarding to play. I think NV is the vastly superior game but i dread having to do the DLCs. Only kind of okay fallout 3/nv dlc is point lookout imo.

Oh so you're just making shit up and can't explain anything

>trying to do that one North Vegas Square quest
>the greaser gang in the sewers don't spawn

Attached: 150317144917.png (622x621, 498K)

pranked

Idk it just doesn't feel "worth it" to play any of the NV DLCs, i feel the same about the fallout 3 DLCs barred from point lookout which has some memorable moments. Like overall i think fallout 3 feels a little more rewarding to play despite new vegas being a better game.

It doesn't feel "worth it" to read your posts, I'm going to stop.

I'm surprised they made the Bozar an Light Machine Gun variant and not an Anti-Material Rifle variant.

I had no idea people actually liked the NV DLCs. The general consensus among my friends is that all NV/3 DLCs are trash. Only thing i like is the higher level cap, which should have come standard to begin with.

Because the original Bozar in 2 was mistakenly made into some kind of crazy machinegun type weapon instead of the sniper rifle it was meant to be

no real rewards?
>dead money

shoulder mounted machine gun, red glare, ed-e with upgrades, elite riot gear, mcnuke that gives access to incredible weapons / armor
>gun runners' arsenal
MF hyperbreeder alpha pistol

How does that even happen?

I had no idea people thought the NV DLCs had subpar writing. I don't even see how it's possible to have that opinion. Maybe OWB gets cringy, but the rest?

They fuck up the code but everybody liked the Bozar as a light machinegun so they didnt bother

I kinda get what this user is saying, aside from point lookout. The dlcs are so disconnected from the main game, being as they're completely separate landmasses, that you get kinda bored of playing them but you're trapped in dlc land until it's over. Essentially you're held hostage from the actual meat of the game, despite the cool items the dlcs might give you.
LR was pretty lame and OWB's "charm" got old for me personally.

Someone who isn't paying as much attention as they should puts in the wrong value, QA misses it and it ships

A LOT of the problems with New Vegas are the same way

>New Vegas
>QA misses it
What QA? Bethshit rushed it out the door in only 18 months to meet the meme date
It had widespread save-corrupting bugs and half the quests were broken.

This is what i was trying to say. And how they take away all your guns with weight requirements or whatever, not my idea of fun. Other than that yeah i have a hard time putting my finger on why i don't care for the stories as much. I guess its kind of like how i felt while watching star wars rogue one, i know exactly how its going to end so why should i bother getting to know all these arbitrary characters?

I liked Dead Mondey for the survival side of things (back to basic supplies and scavenging), Lonesome Road is good for the feel of "THIS is how a nuclear apocalypse should be done", and Honest Hearts was only worthwhile because muh Joshua Graham.

Old World Blues just never did it for me. The environment felt bland, and the only side missions were VERY fetch-questy. I know the other DLCs were too, but this one had you going through the same looking facilities and sometimes repeating basically the same mission to get a slightly better version of an item you have. Plus, the departure from a serious tone to "wacky dysfunctional scientist humor" was really jarring compared to the base game and other DLCs

best weapon in the game coming through

can't be, filled with niggers and spics

Something that bugged me with OWB was how they just threw random jazz music into the DLCs soundtrack and thought it would work. Didn't fit well at all imo, not very fallout. I guess its a minor thing to pick on but it really soured it for me.

When you can predict the major twist in the story about 20 minutes in, you know its gon b gud

better than Fallout 4

I'd rather get ass blasted by radioactive snow and ash than deal with this motherFUCKING HEAT AND THESE SPORTING EQUIPMENT WEARING, DRESS LOVING KEKS FOR ONE MORE GOD DAMN SECOND

I really think it just came down to them not having enough time to fully model each individual character, being forced to just hit a randomize button and let the dice decide their fate.

I don't. I tried playing two or three times but I always get bored out of my mind after the tutorial.

Honestly, even a few basic mods can change the game. A weapon pack, an armor pack, and maybe a weather mod can make the game feel a lot different atmosphere-wise

Go to bed Todd

But I don’t
Fallout 76’is the superior game in every way

Wait no

any other good management mods such as run the lucky 38?

Not because of this whore, that's for sure.
That's more my style.
Would unironically marry Red Lucy

>Denver is at the edge of Legion territory like NV
>So much lore from Van Buren and tactics
>Mentions of "Denver hounds" all over NV.
Fallout: Dog Town when?

Pricing and ease of construction, I would assume. Most wastelanders don't even have shoes, let alone enough caps to buy a gun. Selling a dirt cheap 9mm or lever action is still money in your pocket, while you also make money off the high roller that can afford you AMR with CF parts and a suppressor

Yes on both counts. Arroyo is in Southern Oregon.

my mods keep dropping my frames to a consistent 39-40 fps for no reason
before you ask no i am not playing on a toaster

>has a Fu Manchu in the comic
>doesn't in-game
Goddamnit Benny has the same problem too because the intro video, the comic and the game make him all look like different people

Are you playing on a waffle iron?

>settlement building system
>good

Instead of that, they could have developed some actual side quests or worked to make the setting less retarded. The NCR has cities with new buildings, cars, schools, hospitals, real infrastructure on par with pre-war...and I'm supposed to believe that people live in a baseball diamond.

"Why can't you do me right" was already in the base game, and Begin Again was written specifically for Dead Money as the theme for the Sierra Madre.

New Vegas is the best middle ground between the old Fallouts and the modernized gameplay of the new ones.

This

Some people just want all-out RP and punishing realism.

Some people want to be impossibly strong Gods and get loot and xp.

Potato, tomato

nobody modeled jack shit retards, they were forced to use the character editor you use to make the courier since bethesda was so kind to give them 1 year of dev time

>hurr face gen is bad that's why cass looks like a 20 something waifu instead of the drunken wreck she is
Someone made it, someone fucked up

this, I burst out laughing when I saw diamond city for the first time
Fallout 3 already felt more like a theme park than an actual world but this was just ridiculous
I don't understand it because the Elder Scrolls don't really have this same problem, or at least not to the same extent

Right, sorry, was too busy thinking of Red Lucy

I found it better story-wise and roleplay wise than the old games, though.

I'll just assume that he didn't stop by the Cabazon dinosaurs in California to show the inspiration for Dinky in Novac

>Boone has 3 INT which would make him clinically retarded
What about that sounds wrong to you?
We are talking about the guy who plans to avenge his wife by shooting whoever a stranger wears a hat near, right?

I'm not saying he's particularly intelligent, I'd give him maybe a 4.5 INT myself. But the way he speaks is a world away from what a 3 INT courier sounds like in some speech options. Boone's just dumb and suffering from PTSD.

that's not how that goes at all

>I'll help you find who sold your wife, Boone
>okay here is my hat find the person and make them stand where I can shoot them and wear the hat to let me know it's them I need to shoot
>Good shot Boone I am covered in blood
>okay great what proof did you find
>...proof?
>OMG DID YOU JUST MAKE ME KILL AN INNOCENT PERSON FUCK OFF

That's exactly how it goes

You missed a part.
>meet Boone for the first time
>total strangers
>he takes this as a good sign and means you can be trusted
Boone.... Boone had a stupid life.

>okay here is my hat find the person and make them stand where I can shoot them and wear the hat to let me know it's them I need to shoot
yeah, the way you worded it makes it seems he's randomly shooting strangers who happen to be wearing a certain hat

Cass VA sounds so homely, I really liked her.

>recieve hat from boon
>he trusts me cause I'm a stranger
>bring Manny Vargas to the dino, aka the only other guy in town who can use a gun
>boone kills him
>go back to boone
>turns out I'm a legion spy so I just literally stab hjm in the back
>town is now mine

>shithole town with no water that runs entirely on scrap found in one building
Good job, chief. You deserve it.

>become undisputed ruler of the settlement
>it's now your responsibility
Shouldn't have done it, General, because you still need to help all those other settlements I told you about.

Where the fuck is Malcolm?

Right behind you

>take novac
>mojave outpost now can't send reinforcements to mccarran and strip without going through heavy legion lands
>can set up ambushes
>NCR traders get destroyed
Seems worth it to me.

Minutemen were what really cinched F4 managing to be even worse than F3, for me.

He's just messed up in the head from Bitter Springs and having to shoot his wife, give him a break.

Cause it has Cass, a fine lass.

They're supposed to be the safety valve faction, like Yes Man, but they were front-loaded, more fleshed out and the triggers for Preston's radiant quests were woven in as part of normal dialogue, probably because of their poor 4-options-only dialogue system. It's hilarious how terrible it was.

Reminder that this man, with a theoretical degree in physics, has 6 INT.

There is literally nothing of value in Novac. Why the endings state the Legion takes I don't know, it's completely retarded.

Also, NCR takes I-15, the road on the other side of the map. If they absolutely had to deal with the Deathclaws, they would do it. And Caesar isn't sending any more troops to the Mojave, he's waging a war of sabotage and demoralization while waiting for Lanius to get back with his veterans. Not that he could with the Ranger camp keeping an eye on the Cove, so any major reinforcement would be radioed in. Oh and HELIOS One would make a much better fortification but the Legion doesn't care enough to take it from the soldiers stationed there which only reinforces the previous point about Caesar not taking the Mojave prematurely.

All in all: No.

ME TAKE YOUR JOB COS ME SMARTER
eric fenstermaker really has a knack for writing dumb characters huh

>There is literally nothing of value in Novac. Why the endings state the Legion takes I don't know, it's completely retarded.
They thought the dinosaur was real and wanted to use it against the NCR

>safety valve faction
Yeah, this is one of the main reasons why I hated them. Brotherhood and Railroad are differing levels of stupid and both morally grey, Institute were incredibly stupid and objectively evil, then there's the minutemen who are lawful good and are obviously the faction you're supposed to like. Bethesda can't design choices to save their lives.

It's fun for replays.

Yeah boys

>There is literally nothing of value in Novac.
Proximity to a scrapyard, and two buildings full of high-tech salvage. Same reason people live there, dude.
>Why the endings state the Legion takes I don't know, it's completely retarded.
Because it's right there. It's the first settlement they'd come across after crossing the river, not counting Searchlight or Nipton, for obvious reasons.

No real reason to play it now that 76 is getting a Battle Royale mode AND NPCs.

I wish Fallout 4 had even one iota of New Vegas's charm.

>No real reason to play it now that 76 is getting a Battle Royale mode AND NPCs.
Hate to break it to you user but I don't play NV for the multiplayer

Whatever happened to the MP mod, anyway? It was briefly popular in NV threads and then it vanished from discussion

Nice, looks like I'm gonna hard pass OW then.

contrarian circle jerk like the rest of Yea Forums

>trying out vegas again after playing Fallout 4
>dont need to gather mountains of junk and scrap to build fucking settlements for retarded settlers
>all locations in the game are cool things to explore instead of just being empty fucking areas like in F4 where you are supposed to build your own towns

Man, fuck Fallout 4. I hope when they do the next actual fallout game that building settlements just fucks right off. Give me an apartment or home base in a nice town somewhere.

Attached: i love to murder.png (1162x850, 85K)

I just wish nv had complete legion, lot more rape and slavery in it, then it would be the perfect game

Fallout, much like elder scrolls, is dead m8. No more RPG gameplay or actually interactive stories, no you're gonna walk from samey place to place getting generic look and playing quests the one way Bethesda made them.
