I was honestly pretty excited for this E3, been pretty underwhelming so far. People saying it's the worst one and videogames are dead are just being melodramatic and fishing for (you)s though. Honestly e3 is like this most years where people overhype themselves and get disappointed. The last truly great E3 was 2010 and that was mostly because of Konami's cringey conference.

Only thing I'm really looking forward to is VTMB2 gameplay and maybe whatever Nintendo has planned.

Legit though, if it's something that concerns you, send off some emails to whatever site you think will take it. These "journalist" types mostly just wait for stories to fall into their laps, so if you send a calm and succinct email that doesn't betray that you're from here, then they'll bite at the easy story, especially because it feels contrarian. It lets them feel good about admonishing other journalists for being complicit in bowing to the corporate interests, but it still gets our message out there, and that's what's most important. Once one writes it, the rest will just copy it and rehash it out, spreading the idea that this live service system is bullshit.

Realistically. If every single thing they attempted fails. Every game bombs, the services are barren and all the consoles collect dust on the store shelves. Do you think they'd finally quit being retarded and actually give people what they want?

I'm super fucking dissapointed with bethesda's e3, the only two games that looked interesting was that jap game and the new doom game. Xbox had a good conference.
I feel like games are being pushed more towards "GAMER CULTURE" instead of people who like videogames, not fit into some stereotype.
I'm looking forward to what they do with the new animal crossing, if it looks good, I may buy a switch just for it.

No...What made me play commander keen was just fascination and a new wonder. It was quite literally the very first "PC" game I ever played...It deserved to be remembered and left alone.

Should I give up on vidya all together?
Just year after year, it's beginning to disappoint me more and more.
I've loved vidya all my life, but now it seems that company's only just want money now, and they are putting less and less heart into the work they put out.
I use to have legit fun playing games, and now it's all just blurring together with the same old shit and everything surrounding vidya today.
Hell, I use to have fun discussing stuff on Yea Forums and shitposting all the time, and having a legit fun time with all of you who have been around.
But now it's just seems that this board is now just rotted, and not in a good way. I just want to see more unique threads that isn't discussing trannys or fetish posting at this point...I just want to relive those old days in which reddit and Yea Forums were separate and hated each other but still respected each other in times of grief. I miss the days of just those random anons who were weird and fun to poke at, but now it's just making fun of trannys and accusing everyone of the same thing.
I wish vidya didn't get as mainstream as it got. I wish people didn't use it as a scrapegoat for their shitty politics. I wish we could once again make some funny ha ha's like we use to about specific games and only those who have played it would get it. I wish we could have fun again here and in actual games.
I wish this never ending nightmare of a year actually turns around for the better soon. I want to get off of this ride.

Mobile doesn't really bother me, neither does the art style, it's the level design and game play that bothers me.

Honestly I've seen people say they're happy that "nerdy" hobbies like Star Wars, Star Trek, etc, Gaming, becoming popular is good because people aren't bullied over it anymore and they feel more accepted.
But ever since it became the mainstream culture, it's just completely degenerated, I'm not a contrarian person it really has gone completely down the drain.
A new era of gaming, a new era of entertainment has arise, a soulless experience in which the old base can't really enjoy because they know "something" is off.
