At least a six gen intel and 1060 minimun
Just a guess

I have little doubt that my 1070 will already be several times more than enough unless I want to run it at 4K which I don't

Way overspec, it's an xbone/ps4 game. PS4's GPU is comparable to a 750ti and xbone is even worse than that.

PS4 will also be running it at 30fps with framedrops though, so I don't think that's "decent"

I have an i7 8700 and an RTX 2070. Will I be able to play the game on ultra at 1080p 60fps?

If you can run witcher 3 on high with decent frame (in city like novigrad) you can run cyberpunk.

cyberpunk is way bigger and heavier than witcher 3

last years demo was running on a 8700k 1080ti at 1080p 30 fps

it's from CDPR and Slavshits so expect shitty optimization all around

what resolution?

You could probably go at 100fps. 1440p 60fps is pushing it though

wrong

definitely

this game is definitely going to be 720p30 on base consoles

Poorfag here, I only have an i5-8400 and GTX 1070 am I fucked?

You could probably get away with running it at medium to low settings. Of course, it depends on how well optimized the game is.

it'll probably be fine for 1080p@60fps as long as you don't use meme settings that make barely a difference, or else they'll have a hard time selling it, you're most of their userbase right there

early demos aren't much of a reference

i5-7600k 1070 should do 1080 60fps on high no problem

I don't think you realize that you have a high end pc by the average person's standards

i7-4790k and a 1080.

this. I got RDR2 for the base PS4 and it ran like ass, especially when any action started happening.

don't worry, it will be downgraded to hell and back.

Attached: witcher 3 downgrade 38.webm (960x540, 631K)

Ran fine on my slim

GTA V would be the likely comparison to system demands. Let's hope it loads quicker. That means 2500k RX 480 can do 1080p 60 FPS. Thanks consoles!

i know nothing about computers but this is what i have. actually bought it for about 500.
how fucked am i?

Attached: computer.png (1367x423, 189K)

Dont care because I am not a retard who plays on PC that needs upgrading every year. I play on a Ps4 pro that makes games look almost identical to PC at a fraction of the price.

FG

Put another stick of ram in it and overclock it and it will do 1080p 60 fps high most likely

should be fine for 1080p on high settings at the very least. I have an RX580 and Ryzen 1600, it hasn't struggled with any game yet on ultra except metro exodus

The only thing you should be worrying about is the PSU.

fine to you is ass to him

hf

jf

i see another slot in there for another stick. do i just jam any type in there or does it have to be another one of the exact same as the one i currently have? also whats overclocking? i hear that a lot and never knew what it meant

>PSU
do explain

If he doesn't post proof of owning a ps4 i will asuume he doesn't have one

It already is, they showed gameplay that looked insanely boring but everyone forgot once Keanu was there. If they don't allow mods, this game will be pretty pointless on PC.

Current gen consoles might a hamstrung version with the PC version being far more tuned since they're obviously going to re-release it when next-gen drops.

Alright, if you can do us a favor download and run CPU-Z and click the motherboard tab and tell us what it says since I can't find specifics. If you have 2 sticks that means each stick is 4 gigs, if you have 3 slots total you would need another 4 gig stick and it needs to match frequency and timings to be compatible. As far as overclocking goes I would do lots of research and see how far people can get on the stock cooler. If you aren't comfortable with it put it in the background until you think you absolutely need to. PSU is the computers power supply. RX 580 can be a bit intensive and any type of CPU OC comes with extra package power requirements. My advice for a 580 is to always under volt at stock speeds. it's a lot to digest but it's not hard just takes a few days of study. Try the game stock and consider upgrades if it's worth it to you. In the meantime bring yourself up to speed it seems intimidating but it's not.

user you can't deny the game was still amazingly beautiful. They were ambitious yes, but nothing great has ever been done without ambition. For the most part the difference between advertised Witcher 3 and release Witcher 3 was an upgrade - for the release.

here, i took a pic of the power supply, not sure if its good enough while im installing and looking up shit

Attached: 0B84DA68-7B5E-488D-81D4-5DFD70C70175.jpg (2830x3165, 1.88M)

probably a 970

is it bad if my ram stick has no cover? i feel like it should even though thats how it came with. it says ive got an nvidia gtx 1050 too but i have no fucking clue what that means

>tfw 8600k with a 1060

I expected this build to last me more than two years but it seems I was wrong.

Attached: 1558764005941.jpg (400x400, 29K)

Yeah that's what I figured it would be. It's pushing it close but it will do. You don't really have any options for card upgrades past the 580. You can save about 20-30 watts with a under-volt on the 580. Makes it run more stable too without the card thermal throttling. You can find tons of youtube videos that can walk you through.

Retard alert

I have a 1660 and a 2600X, that will be fine right..?

Attached: 1544082127423.png (400x391, 95K)

You can technically play games under min specs, just it will be pretty shit depending on how far under you're going.
Some time ago I tried running Planetside 2 on just integrated graphics, it ran, like absolute shit.
Otherwise you might as well try to build as high as you can sort of, perhaps not enthusiast spec unless you want that kind of futureproofing.

like i said, new to PCs. i know way more about cars and can basically rebuild an engine but cant build a PC, hence why i bought a prebuilt one

well you don't have a 580 then lol. So you have a single 8 gig stick. Get your motherboards model number from CPU-Z and from there you can find a manual and see compatible ram. CPU-Z will also tell you exactly what ram you have as well. Hold off on any upgrades until you have a chance to try it but I will be honest in that the 1050 is likely not going to be enough to push the game, possibly on low but you won't like it.

The funny thing is if you can mess with a car you can mess with a PC. Just different terms but it's all plug and play and easy.

so im gonna have to get a better graphics card as well, right? along with compatible ram?

i guess

>1080 and OC'd Ryzen 1600
I hope I get atleast 60fps with some of the stuff like shadows down to low/medium. The city seems dense enough that it might just fucking chug on full ultra

Don't worry about ram just yet. 8 gigs is fine for most people the real hurdle is the 1050. The PSU limits your options, you would also need to see if you have the proper connectors free as well. On the cheap side a 570 or 580 might do the trick. You have to ask yourself if the investment is worth it to you though. Once you start swapping parts you can spend a lot quick.

Im torn, i built my new pc to play this game but collectors edition is fucking console only in the us

Lmao why?

i just want it to run a game like that along with other games that require such power so then i dont have to feel like i upgraded just for that sole game. otherwise id dust off my xbone and play it on that. but then thatd defeat the purpose of why i even bought a pc in the first place. would it be worth it to sell my xbone and my pc for a better prebuilt pc?

Attached: putin shrug.jpg (644x465, 150K)

You will have problems with framerates higher than 60 at any resolution

this is the fault of consoles

gamestreaming for consolepleb normies can't come soon enough

>being this fucking defensive
ResetEra is on full damage control today, huh?

>tfw I'm a CDPR cocksucker and wanted to buy the collector's edition but North America PC release won't get it
I guess they're doing me a favor.

>sell my xbone and my pc for a better prebuilt pc?

No dude....prebuilts are always inferior, sell both and build a new machine.

me too

>prebuilt pc
either stick with consoles or nothing at all if you have that mindset. i built my first pc knowing nothing about it except looking through the manuals that came with the hardware. it's literally adult legos.

I want to max everything at 1440 with at least 60fps, probably gonna get a 2080, even then I'm not sure since it might have some heavy ray tracing shit

1660 and i5 8400 6 core, 12GB RAM.

The thing will run on consoles, so a laptop can play it too. I wouldn't be too concerned.

Stop buying useless shit. No seriously, what the fuck are you gonna do with a map for a game, a car keychain, a "survival guide", a statue, and a hard copy? If it came with the jacket then maybe I could understand that but it's just knick knacks.

How fucked am I? What should I upgrade to?

Attached: Speccy.png (664x522, 33K)

>tfw i5 and AMD 800 series
I'm not playing this anytime soon.

should be fine on medium or high may need to play with the configuration

Which i5?

Assuming it's semi modern it should be fine, that GPU is trash though.

IM FUCKING READY NIGGERS

Attached: specs.png (660x525, 35K)

even cdpr themselves say part of the reason collectors editions exist is for people who want to throw extra support their way. i've never bought a CE in my life but if i was going to, it would be this.

You should be able to run at ultra with RTX 2080 at 1440p, prob with sub 60 dips

If it's a proper dx12 implementation then it shouldn't be too bad with recent cards

I have an RX 580 8gig with an AMD fx-8320 Eight core processor, can I run this at 1080p 60?

Minimum specs: have sex
Maximum specs: with a female.

if you upgrade to 1080 you will feel little to no difference. Might wanna think about upgrading your CPU tho.

enough with your reddit memes. go spout them on your shitty site.

T-this game will run on linux r-right?

Attached: SODAMNLONELYAHHHHHH.png (675x607, 523K)

Sound get Nvidia GPU. Honestly putting 100$ more into your PC would be a far greater investment because 700$ and above price point you really can get a solid performance for 1080p 60fps in most games.

>1080Ti on a fucking linux
why

Attached: identifywhy.png (200x266, 35K)

I always liked having game maps ever since Vice City, and the survival guide might be an interesting expansion on some of the lore. I hate game statues though, not sure why companies keep doing this, this statue looks especially lame. I'd rather have one nice high quality item then a bunch of lame junk like stickers and patches.

Is "Wake up, Samurai..." Cyberpunk's version of "Kept you waiting, huh?"

I might just buy a PS4 version and torrent it on PC

The PC they had in E3 2018 had a 8700k + 1080Ti + 16GB 3600Mhz RAM

My guess is that the final recommended system requirements will be similar to that spec, do note that both Soiny and MShit consoles will have 3rd generation AyyyyMD 8-core/16-thread CPUs and a garbage AyyyMD GPU

Any 8th, 9th and 10th gen i7 Intel CPU plus a 10-series or 20-series Nvidia GPU will do the job. If you're on AyyyMD just buy the newest Ryzens coming out on 7/7

Depends on the downgrade.

>all these Yea Forumsirgins that bought into incel AGAIN
ohnonononono

CDPR =/= EA

>have shitty PC
>don't want to get it for console, since it will probably ported to next gens, whenever they get released
I don't know what to do!

Should I build my new PC this month or wait till later in the summer when new parts come out?

I'm not worried. The massive downgrades will have it running great on any system that could handle Witcher III. Probably better.
I know I'm not upgrading anything for a console port, just like I didn't for Witcher.

Attached: so good pacha.jpg (600x600, 29K)

After TW3? Spare me of your nonsense.

GTX 1060 / VEGA

I'd say wait. Squeeze the last few drops out of your current set up, until the brand new stuff comes out.

Why, 4th gen really that bad?

I still have my 980, I guess its about time I upgrade, right?

Did you install the latest security patches to half your performance yet, goy?

Imagine spending $250 on that uninspired pure vanilla CE

>security patches
>affecting gaming
Look at this AMD shill and laugh

no?
what a retarded comparison

radeon navi and ryzen 3rd gen are coming out in july 7th, wait until then at least so you can compare benchmarks and prices, unless you're already decided on going with both intel and nvidia.

What will I need to run this shit on ultra settings?

Specs that don't even exist yet.

You are becoming hysterical.

Attached: 1532968938328.jpg (3840x5040, 1.11M)

just wait on july 7 bro and youll get a better bang for your buck with zen2 processors

If he's decided on going with both Intel and Nvidia he has to wait until later this year to finally decide and buy.

You only buy parts on July 7th if you're truly going for an AMD machine. Comparing this year's AMD processors and GPUs to last year's Intel and Nvidia offerings is a pointless exercise, the newest products are supposed to be faster and better.

Why would anyone buy an AMD GPU? They're fucking trash and not worth the money. You have to be the most delusional and retarded fanboy to even consider buying an AMD GPU. At least on the CPU department AMD caught Intel's pants down and the latter cannot respond yet.

>they got Todd Howard to play a character
Neat!

You'll be fine. Real poorfag coming through.

Attached: my_pc.png (467x377, 21K)

Wow fucking Retard look in the mirror for once.

>Why would anyone buy an AMD GPU?
Four years ago when I was doing my budget build the choice was between the 960 and 380. In all benches the 960 was getting 10-15% more FPS with the exception of few odd games here and there.
However, word on the internet was that nvidia was actively paying and pressuring devs to get amd gpus to bench below nvidia's. Word was that they also cripple old cards on purpose when they release new drivers.

Lo and behold, literally saw a few videos half an hour ago how they compare in 2019 and the 380 is consistently 10-15% faster than the 960.

Fuck nvidia

You have a better PC than the vast majority of players. A lot of people game on: 960m (750ti tier performance), 3.5gb 970, 1050ti and 3/6gb 1060.

kill yourself samefag. it's 2019 and all of the mentioned specs in this thread are shit and are already being phased out by newer games.

you can't cheap your way around this. either buy a 1080 ti for a reduced price, a new 2080 or a 2080 ti for maxed out 100fps gaming at 1440p 144hz

its that simple.

Dont worry, 019 looks like Intel and Nvidia got btfoed by AMD in non-meme way

So you now can flex and call yourself OG AMD fan and everyone will be green (get it) envy

because windows fucking sucks, that's why

>i-it's fine, really!
imagine literally apologizing for a faceless corporation

the 960 is a terrible card on release.
the 280x consistently beat it.
Comparing to the 380 is retarded.

>If he's decided on going with both Intel and Nvidia he has to wait until later this year to finally decide and buy.
He wants a new computer now, not in 6 months time. So his choices are last gen intel and nvida or the upcoming AMD and Radeon offerings.

>Why would anyone buy an AMD GPU?
they aren't that bad, if you're only looking at numbers on a graph, yes Nvidia is a better choice most of the time. But the real world difference is marginal for gaming. You're not going to suddenly be able to run a game on 4k ultra on a RTX 2080 that you couldn't on a Raedon VII. Maybe you'll get 68 frames instead of 64. I'm going to keep supporting AMD in the hope they actually put out something better than Nvidia, maybe navi will be it

>gets called out for lying
imagine literally shilling for a faceless corporation

>disabling hyperthreading has no impact on gaming guys! really!

You're good. I have a similar system and ran it just fine.

Attached: cyberpunk2077screenshot.jpg (718x275, 49K)

The 380 was literally a rebranded 285 with very minor differences, which on its own wasnt all that different than the 280x. Back then AMD were staying afloat by basically rebranding the same architecture every year.

In any case, the 380 and 960 were in the same price category, the fuck do you want me to compare it with? The 970 that was 100-150$ more expensive at the time?

I changed that for a i7-2600K back in 2011 for TW2

Hopefully it has Nvlink / SLI support
that's the real question.

At 640x480, lower than lowest settings, basically you'll look like pixelated monochrome and your framerate will be more like a powerpoint presentation.
Basically what happens if you try to force a game to run on integrated graphics, I did it, kind of amusing for a few minutes but pointless.

280x was still better than the 285.
I just remember the 960 being released, doing terrible in the benchmarks and people were pretending the 280x somehow didn't exist already and cheaper.

The 960 was an utter joke, the 1060 6GB was a return to form for nvidia's mid-range.

THAT'S the cover art?
God, it's so terrible
looks like a placeholder made by a fan

I have a 9900k and a 2080 so I'm probably looking at 4K30 tops.

reminder that if you don't buy it on GOG you won't really be experiencing it the way it was intended.

they may chage it since its just promotional or not idk

is there even a noticeable difference in performance between 8 and 16 gb ram? how about 16 and 32? ive watched a couple rig tests on youtube with recent games and ram usage usually caps around ~7gb accordint to the numbers on the screen.

Alright. I have an Intel i-5 5200U and an AMD Radeon R9 M275X.
These old clunks have gotten me far. Give it to me straight, what are the chances of it getting me through Cyberpunk just a little bit longer?

8700ks are like $250 buckaroos nowadays. you could upgrade to a better cpu and youll be good to go. if you dont plan on upgrading just play with medium settings

you can literally find any movie online and stream it. better yet download the said movie shes looking for but youll porb be having sex within the first 10 mins of the movie

If you close every other application on your PC while gaming 8 GB are still enough. But not if you have a browser and all the launchers and other applications running in the background.
So 16 GB is the sweet spot for gaming, 32 won't give you any advantage.

australia so yeah there is

ok. im guessing you play at medium/low settings to utilize the 144 hz at 1440.

My 970 and 4690k oc'd to 4.5 have served me quite well for the past 4 years. It's been sufficient for every recent release I care about, I can play RE2, DMC5, and Sekiro on max settings for a very stable 60 at 1080p. I've yet to run into a game that I can't play as long as I tweak the settings a bit. I'm pretty confident I'll be able to run 2077 on lower settings but if it's good enough it might get me to finally upgrade
