Shame really, I kinda like it. I'd be willing if it was like $80 or 90 at most but 180 is pushing it.

Difference between series 1 and 2?

This means series 1 will become cheaper, right? Might get one of those instead.

will series 1 get a price cut?

does it suck my dick?

it's already a "cheaper" alternative, so probably not

$180 for a controller is stupid. Theres nothing about it to just a price tag higher than $100.

consolefags are retarded, what else is new

no

In my experience, once you use the elite controller you don't really want to go back to the regular one. The paddles are just too useful. Also, this one is compatible with Scarlett so I might get one.

agreed, great looking controller with some fun stuff that would make it a joy to use on my PC.

there is no way in hell i'm dropping $180 on it.

Series one is better imo as it has a physical profile selector switch and older style rb-lb buttons.

>$100
they can sell them at 10 dollars with slightly cut corners and make profit

stupid cuckold I bet you think paying for online is fine

$30

>get one for 50 bucks cause I liked it when I tried my buds controller
>suddenly Elite 2 announced
That stung

>stupid cuckold I bet you think paying for online is fine
>why do I have to pay for an online service and servers? REEEE

Yeah I agree. 180 for a controller is just too much for me. I'm not even a poorfag but just seems like a waste.

Still rockin my Wii U Pro on PC. It works perfect for just about everything that warrants a controller, which is honestly mostly emulated Nintendo games to begin with

I'd be worried to use it too.

Even being careful, controllers just break in one way or another sooner or later due to the frequent use.

Only consolefags have to do that

it's a fucking nice controller, but the most i'd go is $119.99 CDN

what does it do differently

As soon as I saw this I was like this is gonna be several hundred dollars.
No but for real, if your controller costs as much as the console then it costs too much.

I bought Elite recently for like 70 euros on some discount because I wanted the back buttons to dab on noobs in dark souls and some other fighting games while playing on PC, the extra buttons were the only reason to pay more, but 170 bucks, holyshit, who even wants that

The most hilarious thing was when they had a big highlight for a motherfucking rechargable battery, a standard in wireless controllers for like a decade now.

You can tighten the resistance of thumbsticks, the textured grip wraps all around, even smaller trigger travel distance, USB type C, internal battery, 3 profiles, bluetooth

I was really hoping to see the Nextbox controller, but them announcing a new $180 controller has me thinking they might just continue using Xbone controllers
All I want is an Xbone controller with an LED ring like the 360s and gyro controls

>use it all the time
>it costs too much
??? Do you guys cheap out on other things like insurance and shoes too?

you're less likely to win in your video games with the series 1

I bought a $10 pair of shoes 4 years ago and still wear them

>$180

That's literally the price of a decent graphics card and 2 pack-in games

what the fuck are they thinking?

>leaked a year and a half ago
What the fuck took so long?

so, like, heres the thing...

even if they made 'improvements' the three main issues from the first iteration still exist:

1. The bumpers fucking break every month. I have replaced mine several times, it fucking sucks.

2. Stick drift. Shit's inevitable. the rockers they use are like $0.30 a pop. you need to solder new ones in to fix it, and they may ship from the factory with existing drift. This shouldn't happen in a current-gen controller, even after 1500 hours of use.

3. The rubber on the grips fell off after a month. This just informs you, as your 90 day warranty expires, that there is more suffering to come.

t. GC in Rocket League who uses his controller several hours each dat

Defective Elite Controllers for $179.99 when?

>Buy cheap ballpoint pen for 50 cent that will serve you 3 months and then you just buy another one
>Buy "le ballpointe pên™" for 500 bucks that will serve you 3 months and then you will still have to buy another one
Yeah, why are you buying the cheap one user, huh? Are you cheap?

Yeah, no...

Being this poor LOL

I see your point but
>powercolor

>amd
I know you're trying to do some reverse counter troll, but why the fuck use AMD as a measure for anything, let alone quality

Attached: 1551028321960.jpg (1024x429, 80K)

Anybody have experience with pic related? Tempted to get it since it's a bit cheaper and I heard the elite controller's grip handles fall off, bumpers break and the sticks drift

to be fair it used to be a thing where you could buy well-built, more expensive items that actually lasted

nowadays nothing fucking lasts so there's no point in buying expensive shit anymore

>What are ink cartridges?

Yeah, just look at all those broken elite controllers.
They just pay designers to make some fancy looking box, add some fancy color scheme, call it "elite", "limited" or "special edition" and slap a huge price tag on them.
Lemmings who still believe that "expensive means quality" think that they need to get the best controller they can so they keep falling for it

Does the first series get a price cut then?

it has an extra board to run the extra paddles and presets. defo not worth the $160 price, but if it was $100 it would...

I've literally had zero issues with my Powercolor R9 Fury X. It's a no-frills brand and I wouldn't trust them to build a motherboard but I've had two of their cards and no problems on either.

AMD dominates the x86 enthusiast segment, retard. They also are the people who've been powering the more powerful consoles of the last and next generation.

I just think it's sad, I still have controllers from my Dreamcast, Super Nintendo, etc. that haven't failed yet and they are super old. I get that they are less complicated but holy shit how far have we come in terms of product development and materials design? It should be extremely easy for a multi-billion dollar corporation to design an excellent controller that lasts me two console cycles at least.

And fuck, it isn't like they haven't done it before. All my 360 controllers work perfectly, they just need the rubber on the thumbsticks replaced.

no need for a price cut when it's now the cheaper alternative thanks to a pricier model

no. idiots will still buy them at full price since they are still $10 cheaper.

After all these years they still just can't admit they were wrong and use the superior D pad?

Attached: ps3 d pad.jpg (800x800, 29K)

I wouldn't say that. If anything, we're gonna see the next bone have its own controller but have it bc with previous controllers

Attached: 1558561855390m.jpg (822x1024, 104K)

>you can actually buy it
What do you get?

>40 hours battery
why do controllers use so much power anyway?

I mean, my wireless mouse with several buttons and sensor last 10 FUCKING MONTHS before I need to change its single AA battery

well, recharge I meant, I do use rechargeable AAs, but I swap them instead of plugging things in when it lasts that long

because wireless tech is aids

Christ. When they showed it off I expected 80 at most.

it was their april fools joke.

>why do controllers use so much power anyway

probably blutooth n stuff

>if your controller costs as much as the console then it costs too much.

If the engineer or architect is getting paid more than the tradesman busting his ass and bringing his idea into meaningful fruition, he’s getting paid too much.

Class disparity, goy.

The elite ink catriges would be 49,99 for a refil, goy, only works with the special copyrighted ink

You don't make that much in an hour? Yikes.

Attached: absolute.jpg (854x859, 176K)

So you Suck off rich Asian men for your job?

The only good d-pad sony ever made was on Vita and they're not even using it anymore.

Will they ever make a controller with interchangable trigger and bumper buttons? If they had done it, I would throw my money at them without question.

>internal, non user replaceable battery pack

So the whole controllor will be trash in 4 years when the battery's capacity is like 1/10th of what it was when you bought it.

based

Wish they would stick to using AA batteries like they normally do. No hassle in finding replacement, no hassle in replacing either, can swap anytime if don't want to wait for a recharge.

I always kinda rage when I see people give them shit because of AA batteries, acting like it's impossible to recharge them or something and costs a fortune in replacement.

Xbox one controllers have the worst analog sticks I’ve ever used on a controller, they are cheap plastic on plastic for the actual thumb stick unit. This is just going to be the same thing, but almost half the price of an Xbox one x or ps4 pro

how do they actually compare to series 1 elite
i read that the elite controllers were poorly manufactured junk that fell apart after light use.

Controller battery life is already fucking trash outside of the Wii U Pro.
I'd rather have to use the usb cable at all times than go to my drawer and realize I'm out of AAs, so I can't play my video game.

I've been fighting with retards on Yea Forums about aa batties for years now. My launch 360 controller still works fine, fresh set of rechargeables and its good to go. Meanwhile my ds4 which is like what 5 years old holds a charge for maybe an hour. Fuck this anti consumer shit

Just have both, have it be wired when plugged and have replaceable aa for when it's not

>$180
People actually pay this much for a controller?

sell me the one you have for 40

>decide to give up on using DS4 (original one) wireless due to battery
>turns out the microusb port is shit and randomly disconnects when moving the controller (on PC anyway, on PS4 it keeps using bluetooth even while wired)
>ended up having to tape the wire to the controller so it doesn't move
>there's also more input lag when wired, go figure
needless to say, I gave up and I don't use it anymore

two of old DS3s (out of 3) also don't take charges anymore, although 2 of them have phantom input issues anyway (I ended up putting one of the working battery in the one that was fine.. but I don't use DS3s anymore either)

>$180 for input lag on a shitty Walmart brand flatscreen.
Why are Xbots so fucking retarded?
