Sometimes people just don't catch the best race-related material. Proud Family was good shit, and was every bit as racially honest as stuff like the Boondocks TV show and Fresh Prince or Everybody Hates Chris. I think the best thing about The Proud Family was that race was treated as just another aspect of people's lives. It wasn't highlighted like some "issue" to discuss, it wasn't ignored entirely, it just existed. The Prouds were pretty standard (even stereotypical) black americans. That wasn't bad or good, it just was. Same goes for everyone. They didn't pretend the Zoey wasn't white, it just didn't really matter to anyone because she was nice and everyone generally liked her as a person. She got shit for being a dork and shy, not for her skin color.

I didn't really like the artstyle of any of the Disney shows at that time. The first season of American Dragon was okay, but then that got ruined because Disney are kikes who didn't want to pay for it. YYH is anime though, but you could count OG toonami in with it all I guess. Dragon Ball, Rurouni Kenshin, some Gundam, tons of good shit there. Zoomers have some legitimately good stuff but you listed too much anime, some of it was just cheap immitations of Millennial stuff like Young Justice, and some of it is just really gay like Steven Universe. A lot of Gen X stuff was pretty rough animation wise with Hanna Barbera only just beginning to streamline animation and costs for regular tv programming, there's a reason only a couple things like Scooby Doo survived to today.

More like why are older cartoons so good. But it mostly had to do with the fact that artists and animators had more talent back then and cartoon production was probably not as expensive, now everybody either does CGI or uses the CalArts style, well at least American produced shows. Matter of fact, a lot of cartoons back then were outsourced to other countries iirc. Anyways, diversity also worked a lot better back then compared to today when it wasn't the bigger focus. Now it just seems so forced and it noticeably effects the writing quality as a result.
