Is it worth it to buy a used 2DS and R4 for $75 or should I just get a Switch for something to mess around with in bed?

your dick is $0

Came here to post this
2DS doesn't even need an R4. But you should get a new2DS if you can, they're only $99.99 I think on sale. The original 2DS plays a lot of more modern 3ds titles at a total shit framerate. Since 2016 every 3DS game has been made with n3ds hardware in mind and it shows.
Get a 3DS
Drop the extra and get a hackable new 3DS/2DS. It emulates SNES at full speed unlike the normal models and a lot of newer games take advantage of the better hardware. Also the new 3DS's 3D effect is a lot better than the old model and IMO looks fantastic.
Maybe a silly question but if I want to just play pokemon, will the 3DS have internet services for a while or will they kill it as soon as the switch pokemon comes out like they did for the regular DS?
I never got into the 3DS Pokemon but I wouldn't hold your breath on the online being alive by the end of next year.
Fair enough, I guess I'll just start saving my pennies and hopefully switch goes on sale and they release a 3rd version of sns. Thanks.
>not getting the NEW® 3DS XL™ Licensed by Nintendo ™
You are missing out
>tfw was waiting for them to stop making new models
>they never did then the fucking switch came out
I'm afraid to buy a nintendo handheld anymore after my experience with the fucking DS.
Bought a phat, then the lite came out, then the dsi, I felt ripped off.
Only if (s)he has great health insurance...
You really weren't missing much with the DSi, there were like five cool games exclusively for it.
I feel ya imagine paying 250 for a 3DS only to be told 5 months later they're dropping the price by almost $100 and releasing a bigger one.
I'm not buying a switch until who knows when
I've bought the new 2xl like a year ago, modded it and played like 3 games at most. Foolish me though it would be enough to emulate psx and n64. I don't know why I didn't Google it first. I assumed it was possible. I mean, every Android shit phone could, why not a dedicated gaming hardware
I know I wasn't missing much in terms of games for the regular DS, but I still felt ripped off having the big bulky phat with shit hinges that stopped supporting the top screen after a year, and L/R buttons that stopped working after like 3 months of playing metroid prime hunters. Hearing the revisions didn't have those issues just stuck with me, so now I don't buy anything until it's second revision, it's even worse nowadays with the multiple ps4s and xboxes. I'm almost 100% certain they'll do a switch revision.
I haven't played a pokemon since diamond, and I put thousands of hours into diamond. I just want to play pokemon again. Like the good ol days.
Nintendo basically forgot that the 3ds/2ds exists and has focused their entire attention on the switch lately
thats what girls are for son
2ds has a decent library
switch has fuck all and will likely be getting a revision at some point
get a new 3ds/2ds and hack it
only if you hack it
