How does on "Git Good"? everytime i ask for advice on this game that's all anyone ever says, or they say "People at your rank don't even know how to play the game" but they never explain how you're supposed to.

Can anyone explain what gold/plat people are doing wrong? or know of any good videos that explain in detail how to "actually play" the game.

Well for one trying to get good at Overwatch is a really shitty idea.

Use your brain it's fucking Overwatch

Once i reached Masters i looked back and realized it was not worth it. Just keep playing if you are having fun, user.

If you are a Mercy main, I recommend getting really good at ERP and find a high elo dom, who will carry and abuse you while playing. Also practice your female voice and learn how to make cute high pitched moans

I wish I could do this but all my friends will make fun of me.

You can't watch videos that guides you to high ELO. High ELO is pure personal attainment.
You're either not mentally practicing enough (actively, NO autopilot "just play" sessions), not spending enough time or is just naturally never going to be good.
You CAN and SHOULD watch professionals who tell you what to actively watch out for, but reading opponents and mechanics can't ever be taught. Even top level players distinguishes from one another by having a "sixth" sense of the course of action.

If a bullshit meta pops up with insane winrates you're only going to cheat yourself.

It's what got me into masters even though I don't know anything about the game but following my tank as mercy

Maybe some would be into it and even if not you can always find someone else and have him carry you outside of the games with your friends

>Maybe some would be into it
I suppose, I'm just nervous they'll tell me to knock it off or that I'm being weird...
I don't really like to play stuff without them so I don't really make new friends outside my group.

Mercy main thread?

Just joke a lot about being the healslut of the group while picking mercy and test the waters little by little. If someones into it you'll notice by their reaction

The actual secret to "gitting gud" is to stop getting mad at video games, and if you die or make a mistake then you should identify what you could have done differently and try not to make the same mistake again. "WTF, that (character) is so fucking broken reeeee." turns into "Shit, I probably shouldn't have been that far out of position." or something like that.

I do that a lot (and they agree) but they don't really take it any farther than that.

i'm a cute fem twink with a naturally girly voice, and a mercy main stuck in elo hell, should i try this.. i'm shy though :C

Then they are probably into it already, any other signs they show about you taking more of the submissive role?
I'm sure you need to just push it a bit and see what happens

40%

If you really got a female voice try getting over that shyness and talk to some people in the healslut discord or even just ingame, you will find a carry in no time and even get to be get off and get bullied by a dom

>being gay means you're a transsexual
???

They kind of make sure I'm healing them and not any randoms we happen to play with I guess.
Maybe I'll make my discord avatar a lewd Mercy and that will coax them.

didn't read
post it

I'm a mercy main actually. Remember to not die often. Your life is more important then anyone elses. Don't go out of your way to heal a tracer or Sombra doing their own thing if it means breaking away from the main pack. Learn her super jumps and go airborne as often as you can, especially the one that sends you straight up. Always peak corners to heal. Try to stay out of sight so you don't get targeted by DPS.

not a bad idea, it's a nice way of getting into talk about the avatar too. Do you usually discuss porn or share lewd stuff in your group?

Yes, we're always posting porn and talking about lewd ideas. We don't really involve each other though.

>Overwatch
First of all drop any team PVP games that aren't 2v2.
Now that you're playing a 2v2 or 1v1 game, the best way to practice is to play and focus not on winning but improving an aspect of play.
Forget about your win ratio, if you lose a game but you never forgot your ult, then that's the way to go.
Seriously though Overwatch is incredibly shallow and not worth learning

Actual retard.

>skill/performance based game
>literally the only barrier is getting better at it
what's not to get retard

>get top rank just to prove I can
>play whatever I want after because I proved I can do it if I cared

Attached: 1555214964934.png (874x440, 449K)

but i can't play mercy in other FPS games

That should be really easy then, perhaps you should just contact one of your friends privately after he mentions something lewd or posts something in the group? High chance he is horny and in private he wouldn't be as embarrassed as you are to be like this in front of the whole group

>Skill based
>Overwatch
?

>git good

Maybe I will, I'm a little shy myself, but i'll give it a shot. Hopefully someone will want to play with me...

Because if you're serious about getting good you'll drop Overwatch
What FPS game do you want to git gud at?

>2019
>mentioning this dead game

go to /vg/ and post porn there or whatever you do

based bean bag sonic poster

Is it even worth it trying to be a healslut exclusively nowadays?

Listen OP, Git Gud is sometimes seen as toxic to weaker individuals but let me lay it out for you. When someone says to git gud there is no answer like you are searching for; it really just means you need more time with the game to become a better player. You are lacking in many places and you can only grow these talents through time and effort. Work on building a better game sense in every possible way. Positioning, when to make a dive and when not to, what's safe what's not safe what enemies to focus when to retreat when to heal when to ult etc etc
It just means there's too much to explain, you just have to "get better" git gud, like everyone else

When will they ever show that leak where she is tranny who perfected science to make herself look completely female yet still have a dick?

Just try and be casual and not too pushy about it, some jokes could work too. I actually got myself into cosplaying Gerudo Link, just by saying to the people I play with "if we really loose this one I gotta dress up as 2B". And as we lost they even insisted on it, like it was a punishment for me

Yes, if you find a right dom and are into getting abused.

Ask Seris, she just became a bunny.

Maybe I'll say I have to dress as whatever girl they like if we lose... it's worth a shot.

>cosplayed gerudo link

You sly little fuck.

in any game/skill/hobby most players outside the top ranks and even within the top rank are so bad they are mostly losing to their own mistakes and lack of understanding of "solved problems". for example in a fighting game getting hit by something that can be beat by a defensive os like fuzzy guard (look it up, basically defending against a mixup without reacting because the "mixup" hits at different times), in overwatch it could be something like using ults in an unwinnable teamfight like a 4v6 or something instead of just maintaining ult advantage. another one is character switching, I haven't played since s2 but there were unironically dps players in masters who would go 2 non-hitscan characters and then complain about their team getting owned by pharah-mercy (which was considered bad because of how easily hitscan destroyed it). most overwatch players fail to even do something like assess whether a problem is coming from gameplay or team comp, and being able to understand which team comp is superior, which is incredibly important in a game where you can switch characters on the fly and team comp itself isn't very complex compared to like a moba.

people make 100s of mistakes like this which are obvious if you look introspectively or watch high level gameplay. fortunately these are so easy to solve that you can just play each game making a mental checklist of "things I fucked up" that you can just work to fix. If you can't identify them you just gotta think more critically about it and watch more good players/talk with more good players. the reason people don't put much effort into giving advice if they don't know you is that it's very hard to do it and it's also hard for the receiver to understand without a lot of thought. also consider if you even want to get good, because baddies exist at all levels so if the process itself behind getting good isn't fun for you, you should probably just not focus on it and enjoy the game.

What gold/plats do good:

>Mechanics, some players sometimes
>Do ult combos, sometimes

What gold/plats do wrong:

>Don't watch killfeed
>Trickle and go for 1 or 2v5s
>Don't regularly check other team's comp and own team's ults
>No concept of ult economy
>Don't think about enemy ults in advance
>4 dps 1 tank 1 supp ayy lmao
>Not going in with main tank
>Not grouping up
>Mercys going for terrible rezzes
>Overextend
>Dont dynamically switch comps to counter, only know super obvious counters like 'we need a hitscan!!1!' when there is a pharah
>Trashtalk teammates eroding confidence and trust

The thing is, the only person you can change is yourself. Other people at this elo will suck dick and play like morons even if you spam voice/chat and give clear advices. So the best thing is unfortunately to solo carry. Don't play tank, don't play supp, play dps. And play with a friend or two that aren't retarded.

You are a zoomer.

You're entire generation is known as the "tell me the answer" generation. You can't even google correctly. You go to reddit and ask someone to explain something to you. You cannot read information or solve problems on your own. You cannot figure out anything on your own.

You are the person who goes on r/ELI5 to ask questions instead of reading some articles written to answer your question. You can't even find those articles. You're generation is retarded and I fear how much dumber the next generation raised on social media will be. Probably better actually, once all the studies are done on how your entire generation is unable to problem solve so technology will be limited if not banned in schools outside the computer lab.
