Shit whoops no I meant the super hero butthole one, Stick of Truth is just as good though. I kind of like the new SRPG combat more than the original paper mario combat though. I didn’t even know they had Stick of Truth on the switch.

The sequel plays a bit differently to Stick and I didn't like it for that reason. It's this weird system where you have to position yourself every round on a fucking chess-board and your opponent moves around - it's like if it's gonna be turn based fucking combat just keep it simple, stupid! God damn.

Eh. Maybe you'll be into it but it didn't do it for me. I genuinely enjoyed the battles in Stick. They seemed totally easy and just long enough - almost like they were keeping you playing just so they could tell a few more jokes. Whatever, I don't want a challenge in a game like that.

Yeah it drove some people away cause it was different from SoT but honestly there’s enough diversity in characters and abilities to keep it interesting and I thought the humor was even better, as if Matt and Trey had perfected how they could make a South Park episode-like rpg game but still keeping it fresh, there was no reliance on numerous jokes from the last game or annoying things like that and you get tons of different squadmates and team combo attacks and things like that. I just typed a wall of text so I guess that shows how much I enjoyed it, I just really needed the money otherwise I would have kept it.

I want to buy Celeste, but I own one of those shitty Pro Controllers with the broken fucking d pad, and I hate playing 2D platformers with a stick because it's not precise enough.

when pokemon comes out that'll mean the system finally has a handful of titles that are worth owning it for, plus a good amount of games worth buying the online for. I'd still say $300 is too steep, hopefully we see something about a sale or a price cut on tuesday, but i'm not holding my breath unless they announce a hardware revision.

Cutscenes are a small price to pay for the shitshow that is Lets Go. At least in XY/SM once you've beaten the game you dont have to deal with the cutscenes anymore (and most of a pokemon game is played after credits), with Lets Go you have to deal with playing lets Go the entire time you own the game.
Hopefully Sword and Shield break the curse on the franchise the 3DS put on it but i'm not getting my hopes up.

I got Slay the Spire and Shakedown Hawaii
Slay the Spire is really addictive but the Switch version has a fuckton of bugs, in the 11 hours I've played it has crashed more than any Switch game I've ever had.
Shakedown Hawaii is a vast improvement on Retro City Rampage, I like the property buying aspect. I'm not even halfway through the story and I already own everything I can buy so far and have far more money than I need

What sales figures? General figures weren't public before gen 7 so you had no way of knowing certain numbers or even vague estimates outside of guessing , but now we have more data available so we can estimate to the ten thousands fairly accurately.
And most of the games that have come out for metroid recently, like that rocket league knockoff that nobody wanted, and metroid 2 remake were both inferior clones of other existing better games. AM2R getting shut down for the abysmal 3ds remake was just the icing on the cake for many folks.

Also when 99% of zoomers around the internet talk about "metroid" they mean metroid prime, not real metroid anyway. Most people have never played SM or the original.

the other games are mostly bought to fill up the library a bit.
nothing is weird about it being a deciding factor.
looking at the Switch's first party loadout I can say that there's a high probability that only, say 2/10, are worth playing.
Animal Crossing would be good but I sadly know that it won't ever capture that loneliness that slowly fades away and the wackiness that gives the series a charm. there is one example I mentioned.
