Only shitters and cockends play SFV. If you're either one of those, you'll fit in nicely.
It's decent. Not as bad as it used to be. It's popular and alive. Very vocal minority of haters.
Well what do you play?
Anything a noob so should know going in?
i'm tired of each update being in the fucking 10-15 gigabyte zone
it takes me all day just to download those updates
so i stopped playing
Super honest non shitpost opinion.
I'm a tekken player and SF4 beat out both tekken 6 and tag2 I completely admit that and I'm a fan of playing and watching street fighter 4 it's a fantastic game.
However this gen tekken 7 has floored SFV. Tekken 7 is still developing and getting more popular and capcom is already talking about SF6 which goes to show how much SFV has failed. If you had no real preference then you should probably go with T7 this generation.
>It's decent. Not as bad as it used to be. It's popular and alive. Very vocal minority of haters.
Just get the better VR version
SFV almost sold as much as SFIV without being on xbox and if we are talking about tournaments it trashes tekken 7 in entrants and viewers.
>1.6k
that's pretty great for 3 years old fighting game on PC
also it has crossplay with ps4 where 90% of playerbase are
fuck off to Yea Forums with this shit
>It's decent. Not as bad as it used to be. It's popular and alive. Very vocal minority of haters.
It used to be shit. Now it's aggressively mediocre. It's worth getting into if you want an active fighting game, but otherwise, there's better options.
I like the women and the porn its produced. God bless THICC
Are you really going into Yea Forums - Video Games, to ask about videogames, specifically about fighting games?
Shitty. Only reason people play it now cause it's their job to.
be patient
Play a better game.
It's alright, I actually want to get back into it but the cost of entry is a bit steep for a game that is likely to be quarternary for me at best as far as fighting games go. I definitely feel that the hatred for the game is a bit out of hand at this point however.
Don't jump too much, don't throw out unsafe moves. Learn like three or four combos that do about 20%. Be patient with your playstyle and you will climb ranked easily.
it deserves all the negative reviews for all the jewish tricks Capcom tried with it
if you can get it on sale with all 3 seasons, it's not that bad
amount of DLCs is still outrageous, and that season passes don't even include stages is pretty crazy
Probably my favorite fighting game this gen apart from Tekken 7.
Be prepared to face thousands of Brazilian with shit internet when starting online.
I started playing it recently, you find games really quickly because of the crossplay
As a game, it's decent and even good. But Capcom trickery earns them a lot of angry reviews.
Plus most of those reviews come from Tekken players.
Don't push buttons. If you're getting up or if it's your opponent's turn, be defensive, don't just unga bunga and try to counter attack. SFV is a very slow game that's populated by impatient people. Just stand back and let them have their turn before retaliating.
I wonder how it feels to be a SF fan and live to see the "not a fighting game" become the most popular fighting game to ever exist.
SFV is not a good game, it is mediocre. After SFxTK, SFV, and MVCI, it is painfully clear that Capcom can't make fightan games like they used to. I personally don't even play fighting games anymore.
If you are dead-set on playing fighting games, play Tekken, or play Smash instead. (don't yell at me for calling Smash a fighter, please & thanks)
Is Blanka fun to play in this?
It's not decent, it's trash, but nice falseflag nigger faggot
>If you are dead-set on playing fighting games
Play UNIST!
we need more kolin costumes
If you want to get into 2D fighters it's still the best place to start. I like to watch Tekken and Guility Gear but I hate playing 3D fighters and I've never been good at aridashers.
>fighting games on pc
>Capcom
All capcom games are poorly designed shallow garbage to appeal to idiot millennials who want the illusion of depth
sagat is fucking weird in this game
he feels like sagat but they gave him so many weird limitations on what he can do that i feel forced to play stereotypical sagat and absolutely nothing else in this game
also why are all his heavy punches barring overhead literally useless
There's plenty of reasons to trash SFV. Barebones launch, which was fixed too late. Shitty way to handle FM, which is almost dried up by now from what I hear. Stupid attempt to implement ads in-game. And as far as gameplay goes, people used to complain a lot about crush counters. I've heard they've nerfed them but I never went back to try it out. Also, the number one complain is probably the shitty netcode. Unfortunately, the list of problems goes on.
On the other hand, people saying Tekken which is also a bad game, is a good option is laughable. Both games are complete shit. This was a terrible generation for fighting games. But I do encourage you to try both if you can OP. Experience them yourself if you think I'm lying.
I'd also recommend you to go to anime fighters but then again they die pretty fast, so if you don't want to deal with a smaller userbase, there's no point to learn one.
And I'm out, good luck to OP. Maybe the next generation of fighting games will give you something better.
>I personally don't even play fighting games
Yep, you are not even the audience of fighting games.
>A person who doesn't play fighting games isn't the audience for a fighting game
What point was user trying to make here
