I’ve never played through a turn-based RPG besides Pokemon. I’m hesitant because they look like they take a long time to beat, and I don’t have much time anymore. Could someone recommend me the best of the best, one that will convince me to play more?

Middle difficulty overall, easiest postgame, really good class balance and a grimoire system that doesn't suck.

Treasure of the Rudras easily has one of my favourite magic systems from a jrpg even if you can cheese the game with it so it's a God tier rpg as far as I'm concerned.

I'm honestly tending to this.
N64 games look fucking atrocious and have aged the worst of all 5th gen consoles in terms of visuals AND scope.
I still love all the games I own from the bottom of my heart, but N64 games just look like rancid dog shit these days.
Mother 3 with N64 technology behind it would have been insufferable by now.
Meanwhile Mother 3 on GBA and Earthbound still look as charming and lovely as they did on release day.
