I'm confused why everyone is impressed with this DLC lol , by the looks of things we will only get to play as these characters during the final battle which means you will play as them for about 2 mins and that's it, whats impressive about that ?
What would of been impressive would be seeing a new Mirage arena or more bosses.
Still no FF characters either , so far I find the trailer unimpressive and I bet it leaves us asking even more questions.....
Radiant Garden should of been a DLC world as well.

I mean that's a big ask for DLC that's coming out in the same year. Coliseum would be doable though. Keep in mind that theres the Limit DLC coming as well, that might add FF characters. It may be a reach but that name makes me think that would be some sort of FF inclusion.

I know exactly how Barry works. His defense of the DLC episodes in XV being blatant cut content was to plug his ears and keep repeating "wow, how nice of Tabata to give us all this extra content, obviously people love the game otherwise they wouldn't be making it".

It's just a trailer. I'm sure we'll get more details as the year goes on. Even if this is the only section you get to play as these characters itll at least beef up the final act of the game, which is objectively the best part. Theres also another DLC episode coming.

Nothing more than its announcement. I forget which concert but Nomura came out and announced both episodes then. I know this is a literal who youtuber but he has some good coverage on the dlc details before this trailer dropped.

What makes you think this minute and a half trailer encapsulates the entirety of the DLC?
We already have its contents confirmed
"ReMIND" scenario, likely referring to extra cutscenes in the main story
"Limit Cut Episode" which includes new bosses
"Secret Episode" which includes a new boss
And a free Keyblade which we now know is Oathkeeper.
Having new playable segments for Aqua, Riku, and Roxas is new information on top of what Nomura's already told us.

You can be mad that it wasnt in base game or you can cope and enjoy some cool new stuff. I dont support devs intentionally holding back content for DLC but that's almost always what DLC is anyways.

I don't get how Young Xehanort timeline works. We see him younger than that in KH3 playing chess and he already has his yellow eyes, yet BBS implied that he originally came from Destiny Islands and began exploring worlds from there. Apparently this is what the trailer's scene is referrencing but he's older?

He had yellow eyes in the trailer, but in the actual game his eyes are grey now.
Xehanort grew up on Destiny Islands, was found by his Master who took him to Scala, where he trained with Eraqus.
After their Mark of Mastery exam, Eraqus was chosen as Successor and Xehanort abandoned his duties as a Master and chose the life of a Seeker, exploring the World.
It seems like his conversation with the Master of Masters takes place after he's done that.
I expect we'll see the moment he gets golden eyes and the reason why.

Yellow eyes thing is an exposure to a lot of darkness, its what changed Xehanort from silver to yellow when he began trying to master its uses and power. When his eyes changed, people whom he connected to for the organization inherited it because its Xehanort giving his darkness to others to complete the pieces of the puzzle for the X-blade.
Timeline should work as this user says, I expect that scene in the DLC teaser to be a way back shot of him before that scene of him in Destiny Islands where his eyes are yellow. MoM seems to be the one that nudges Xehanort on the path to his plan and that scene was before he chooses to accept the darkness and its power
