He literally killed millions and damned them to hell

He literally killed millions and damned them to hell...

How did he get away with this??

cause he's best character

the only people that could stop him have really low IQ

>He literally killed millions and damned them to hell...

No he didn't. The tree appears once every 1000 years. He literally just sat on top of it gatekeeping waiting for the fruit to ripe.

it's an anime game. if an anime rival decides to turn over a new leaf, they get instantly forgiven for all their past sins.
think vegeta or sasuke.

wrong, the tree grows in the underworld, he used yamato to bring it over thus killing millions

That just makes him based as fuck.

temen-ni-gru.

Ur reason killed the people not Vergil.

didn't he get away with it because of the wish

Because eventually he saved billions...

>How did he get away with this??
By being so fuckable and dick suckable, it's crazy the things you can get away with if you're a fucking snack like Vergil

vergil did nhg wrn

Might controls everything. Those people will serve better as a sacrifice than they ever would have living.

Because DMC5 has some of the absolute worst fucking writing featured in any form of media in the last ten years.

I like it when the glowy swords stab dante

Because he's not a good person. He never has been. Why is this a shock to you if he's done shit like this before?

Bad writting. Also bad game.

I would have liked the story more if the delivery wasn’t so fucking retarded, the story of Dante and Vergil is something that was absolutely worth exploring but they just had to go 300% over the top with Dante’s characterisation. I’m fine with Dante dancing like Michael Jackson because it was just one isolated moment, but I fucking hate everything about him in DMC3. His design sucks, he was intentionally designed to look like a stripper when he always dressed somewhat formally in the past and had an air of coolness that’s just fucking gone in DMC3. I wouldn’t deny that he’s entertaining if I hadn’t already liked Dante so much before, between his characterisation and 2 and 3 it’s honestly hard to say which was the bigger slap in the face.

Because V actively saved lives and killed demons during the 1 month period between the prologue and the main game

After Temen-ni-guru he fell down in hell, became Moondust's cockslave for the next 10 years or so, then wandered around in a half-dead state for the next 10 years, nearly died and got such strong PTSD he had to get rid of it with his dimension-slaying sword. I wouldn't call it a "get away".

He let Griffin murder a guy near Bobbys Cellar to get enough money to pay Morrison, that is not something a good guy would do.
I mean I get that the person that got killed could have been a scumbag mercenary but still that was not cool.

Isnt Dante babysitting Vergil because hell probably cause another bullshit event like that again but Nero convinced him to not kill his dad so his solution was containing The Vergil in Hell and at the same time satiate both their lusts for cuhrazy demon slaying?

....from the threat that he caused, sure

Now you're arguing semantics.

It was for the greater good

Because you realize that Dante is kind of a brocon, and he finally got his onii-chan back.

>between his characterisation and 2 and 3 it’s honestly hard to say which was the bigger slap in the face.
Did you miss the part about DMC3 being a prequel? Dante is an over the top asshole and a pretty shitty person at first, who only cares about fighting and having a good time, but he has a strong character arc. His time with Lady in DMC3 leads to him becoming a more serious and responsible person, and he literally ends the game as his DMC1 self, a much more mature person. Character development is a critical part of story telling that is sorely lacking in most videogame plots, which is why DMC3 is placed on such a high pedestal (all three of its main characters have immediately recognizable and intersecting arcs). If it wasn’t your thing, that’s totally fine, but you’d have to be pretty dense to not understand why the story is so beloved by others.

because he's gonna be playable

His demon half did. His human half did everything in his power to right that wrong as he felt it was his responsibility, and Vergil stayed in the underworld with Dante to destroy the Qliphoth so it kind of balances out.

One could argue it's Vergil's fault for splitting himself in the first place, but doing do was necessary for his survival and the rise of the Qliphoth wasn't really an expected outcome.

Besides, Temen-ni-Gru was a pretty intense scenario. He's more culpable for that one since he worked directly with Arkham.

In the end, though, Vergil doesn't seem one bit aligned with the forces of hell, and his lust for power seems to be sated so regardless of his past crimes, he's an excellent asset against future incursions should he and Dante return from the Demon World. You don't punish someone like that for the sake of some emotional sense of justice; you put them to work.

>His human half did everything in his power
Power? Please continue.

Why did they turn him ugly?

Anyone else get sudden urges to obtain more power?

Because he did the exact same thing in DMC3 with the Temen-ni-Gru and everyone forgave him.

I really hate when people try to say

>Urizen =/= Vergil
>V = Vergil

Basically absolving him of what he did as Urizen while still giving him credit for what he did as V.

You fagets don't even expect Vergil DLC, his boss behavior changes are just PC bugs and the snowy shits was already there since BP update.

The greater good being that murdering people is okay just so that he can tell his brother to fix his mess, what an asshole.
I still like his playstyle though I hope they can develop it further to really make it fit into this game style.

Attached: fatto catto.jpg (2048x1323, 291K)

But urizen isnt a fucking character, it's literally nothing but vergils homolust for power given form

>vergils homolust
eh wrong half

Attached: 1504105154.gif (600x338, 2.83M)

>it's literally nothing but Vergil's single most defining character trait personified

Can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs

GUYS 2 FUCKING HOURSS

Not him, but if you had separated everything awful about you into a separate entity to save your life, that entity would, practically speaking, be a different person because it's missing half of what made you who you are, particularly the parts of you that stop you from doing bad things in pursuit of a goal. If your continued survival required you to rejoin with that entity, are you directly responsible for the things it did if and when you rejoin it? What happened with Vergil's splitting of himself is a complex situation from the perspective of justice, since the entity that committed those crimes lacked the capacity for a conscience AND the fact that the other half of that individual, the one that DID have that capacity, worked to right the wrongs of the former.

>Not him
Literally no one in the history of Yea Forums has fallen for this or your shopped image you'll post as some sort of "own" after this. Newfag.
