People explain it all the time. Anyone could do it, it's just premade assets plugged into Unreal test maps. There's no actual game, even when they remake 1/10th of a level you can tell from the footage that the actual movement is fucked.
Look at those images of Pokemon in realistic fields, it's literally just a premade model on a test map, there's nothing to actually do with it beyond look at the clashing art style.

Pokemon devs are too fucking scared to make even the slightest change to the formula they have for their games. It was great 10 years ago but it's outdated as fuck now. Seriously, any pokemon game released now could have been from 2009 but with a graphics boost. Absolutely nothing of consequence changes in the core gameplay between games, the most they add is shitty minigames

GameFreak is a small independent company who hasn't had to work a serious day in their life since Gen 2, and most of their profits are taken by The Pokemon Company so that the latter may continue funding the anime and merchandise to make MORE money.
