Metro Exodus shows up on Windows Store despite Deep Silver saying that it is exclusive to Epic Store until 2020

Oof. Microsoft playing both sides. Based.

Microsoft exposes the epic store as a would-be steam assassin

Game exclusive? more like game exclusion

noooooo but the chinkbux

I'm not even interested in this game but I am going to buy it on the MS store to help boost non-epic sales

Sales must be piss poor so they have to scrape the bottom of barrel since they probably can't speed up the process of putting it on steam. Would have bought it if it was on GoG, it's hard to feel bad for pirateting it since Cang already paid for it.

>devs start tu fuck with epic store, by also relasing games on GOG
the best timeline

So it really isn't an exclusivity deal but a "don't put it on Steam" deal.

The question is why isn't Steam doing anything about it? Literally the only comment they've made was months ago when Exodus was being advertised on Steam but suddenly got pulled into Epic.
Is Valve just that cucked or are they just that lazy? Or is it both?

Oh no no

Probably because Epic is perfectly capable of crashing their own plane into the ground with no survivors.

valve doesn't need to do anything but watch epic games continue to fuck themselves up in the PR front. the more innocent and sincere valve seems here, the better it looks for them in terms of PR

gog doesn't accept denuvo games, or any drm for that matter
>but its cracked
the original 1.0 version, the patches improved performance significantly which are still uncracked

It makes them look better to not engage.

Weren't they claiming it sold like 2.5 times of LL on EGS? I called they were lying through their teeth and probably included steam preorders and hardware bundles in that figure and only for a tiny selected timeframe.

Exodus got pushed on to EGS to offset a projected loss. There's a reason THQ is ignoring them for their other games.

Is there still a chance that Epic might snag Spongebob or Destroy All Humans from on Steam?

why would steam do anything when epic is basically shooting itself in the fucking foot every time they do something?
also, steam won't ssay anything about epic, just as it didn't say anything about every other store that tried to compete with it, because if they did, they'd acknowledge that epic is actually different that all those different non-acknowledged stores. staying silent is literally the best thing steam can do

>Tim Sweeney says that Epic is good for developers because of muh 12%
>Lets games go to other stores that charge the standard 30%
Why is he such a fucking hypocrite?

Because he's still salty on Gaben.
When Tim and CliffyB left PC in favor of consoles because MUH PIRACY, Gaben stayed and made a fortune on a "dying" platform.

Spongebob is already on Steam. Plus it feels less likely THQ Nordic would put another game on there after how much shit they got. Maybe the Deep Silver branch since it operates independently.

They were comparing exodus sales to the previous title sales at launch.
Last Light sold like shit at launch.
But Timmy Tencent needed to wave his dick around somehow so the only thing that's came from his mouth is 2.5x.

>Spongebob is already on Steam
Did you forget Metro Exodus was as well?

what the fuck epic bros

Valve's not directly responding as that would legitimize Epic as a competitor in the eyes of many. That and Epic is doing a fine job shooting themselves in the foot. I'm sure they've done backroom deals though like how they got the MCC or how past 50 mil in revenue, their share drops to 20% which made Bethesda come back.

They said at release it was coming to windows store actually.
