This will for sure affect Splatoon 3 in a mjor way just as the first game's final Splatfest affected the second game.
>if chaos wins Splatoon 3 will have you be a good boy lawfag trying to overthrow a mad max shithole >if law wins Splatoon 3 will have you be a chaoschad overthrowing a kino blade runner utopia AKA Octo Expansion 2.0 With the Order side having the best girls and best setting potential for the next game, I think it's pretty clear that Order is the only correct choice.
Order winning means we'll eventually get an Agent 8 boss fight in the third game.
You can't argue against this.
Carter Brown
Do you guys think Callie and Marie will actually show up?
Joseph Gonzalez
Definitely going Order, just look at that slick shit
Brandon Ramirez
Imagine Lawfag woomies patrolling the streets with the third helmet from the left.
Colton Hill
all god awful
Owen White
Order means a Deus Ex setting with inklings and that sounds like something I'd wanna play.
Jackson Lewis
It would be cool if they did something extra special for the last Splatfest but somehow I doubt it
Cameron Brown
Shin Megami x Splatoon fanart when?
John Gomez
How did Splatoon's final splatfest effect 2?
Matthew Davis
CAOSH IS A LADDUH
Oliver Hill
It didn't. It was the same story plus you have to rescue Callie.
Cooper Perry
Which sister got brainwashed
Christian King
>Order gear is just Daft Punk Tell me, how is Order not the correct choice again?
Kevin Green
Marie won so we had to rescue Callie, if Callie won we'd have to rescue Marie. Glad the final splatfest for 2 seems to have more of an impact. What if whoever wins becomes the villain for 3? You get either Pearl ruling over a wasteland setting or Marina lording over a cyperpunk dystopia.
William Bailey
that I don´t wanna buy a game when the 3rd one is on the corner especially when it isn´t a story game.
Isaiah Diaz
People are still active on the first Splatoon, you'd only be missing the Splatfests and if you buy in time you could experience the final two at least. Also you'd have plenty of time to learn the mechanics so you can git gud by the time 3 rolls around, which won't be for a few years at least. You'd also be missing out on the Octo Expansion, which is the best singleplayer content Splatoon as a series has to offer.
Carson Moore
>What if whoever wins becomes the villain for 3? Within 2 weeks of taking over Pearl would get deposed by someone stronger in her chaos land.
Within that same time Marina would build a Pearlbot to boss her around and run her Ordertopia because she's naturally a bottom.
Adrian Nguyen
Seriously doubt Splatoon 3 will be on Switch, I always got the impression that it's a series that will be treated the same way as Mario Kart and Smash, one per system, which would make sense considering its multiplayer focus. This means that we'll be waiting for a while for the next mainline game, but hey, now we could finally start getting some damn spin-offs to hold us over until then.
Nintendo is gonna be sticking with the Switch for a while, I don't see them coming out with a new console any time soon. Maybe a more powerful Switch in like 2023 or so. And I'd sure hope we'd get Splatoon 3 before then.
>Nintendo is gonna be sticking with the Switch for a while, I don't see them coming out with a new console any time soon. That's what I'm saying, so you should probably not expect the third game any time soon.
dude goes hard these days even for something like a shitty mobile card game, so imagine if it was for something actually GOOD youtube.com/watch?v=p8efRFhEcuQ And with nintendo's deep pockets and music supplies, he'd be able to crank out some A+ jams
Nathaniel Thomas
Splatoon was painful to watch. What the fuck is wrong with nintendofags? It's like you shovel shit into your mouth
Jeremiah Price
Horus was a good boy
Parker Garcia
You mean the e-sport shit Nintendo is trying to push? Watching it is shit, yes. Playing it is amazing.
Jason Hill
Order should win cos they have the best everything but im sure the gremlin is gonna win cos not only does japan love the thing but as ive noticed everyone's always prefered being a chaotic person than a good guy in games.
Im torn because one side has iso padre and dj octavio while the other captain cuttlefish and marie...
Isaac Wilson
I can only hope enough people realize that choosing Order would likely lead to a game where you play as a chaosfag MC destroying said order while choosing chaos leads to the opposite.
John Hill
I'M THE BUG INSIDE YOU
Matthew Collins
>Order wins >Marina is the villain of Splat33n. >Chaos wins. >Marina is your buddy in Splat33n. I'm okay with this.
Jeremiah Anderson
MAGNUS DID NOTHING WRONG!
Would C.Cucumber be magnus in the squidkid heresey?
Connor Gray
So this is basically a choice of how the Inkling society will collapse Chaos means the Salmonoids take over the surface, Order means the Octos take over the surface. Either way Inklings are gonna get fucked over hard lol
The Skull would be better if it was covering the head more (Cubone style) Mohawk is a little weird because of the hair Helmet is best Glasses are the worst
Samuel Robinson
If Pearl wins you're going to be taking the Wild West of an anarchist Shibuya. If Marina wins you're toppling the power structure in a repressive Shinjuku.
Mason Smith
I just want Pearl to win because Marina is a smug bitch, in the american localisation at least.
Levi Smith
>spin-off Give me a music game. Go full Hatsune Miku with it and have the levels basically be the various bands performing music videos.
Dylan Clark
>Marina wins >Splatoon becomes Jet Set Radio Best timeline
If Chaos wins Splatoon 3 is going to devolve into warring states shenanigans.
Daniel Butler
We already got Order stuff in Octo Expansion. I want to see what they do with Salmonids taking over.
Aaron Allen
It decided which sister was your ally (serving as the one giving orders and instructions) and which one you needed to save.
Jonathan Phillips
But when Marie won, she was your buddy for 2's main story. Why would Marina not be your buddy if she wins.
Adrian Williams
To not make the pattern too repetitive. It's clear that whichever side wins will probably go too far because of the radical departure of the series' usual status quo and aesthetics and at the end of Splatoon 3 you'll return things to their pre 3 state.
Asher Miller
Marina and Pearl seem too close to break apart. It probably does decide the villain though as we have more than one big bad option. Probably not DJ, more likely either Order Slime or a new Chaos Salmon.
Owen Baker
I think it might go like They'll both start running things but it inevitably spirals out of their control and becomes a perverted version of their more moderate visions.
That’s what I’m thinking. Whichever team wins will take things to the extreme in Splatoon 3, and then Pearl/Marina will realize they fucked up and understand one can’t exist without the other to balance it out.
Also if Salmonids/Grizzco aren’t the main plot of Splatoon 3 I’m going to be fucking pissed since they introduced an entire section of the game with a mysterious character and never did anything with them. I was really hoping Mr. Grizz would be hinted at in Octo Expansiom but nothing.
Elijah Morales
But will we get a new idol duo for Splatoon 3?
Liam Murphy
Probably
Henry Allen
Probably but what type we get probably depends on the results of this splat fest.
Kayden White
>techno daft punk gals ORDER ORDER ORDER ORDER ORDER
Hunter Turner
Yes Though I'd prefer if they'd do something different from just idols to be honest
Zachary Morgan
Either that or like commercialized corporate shills.
James Watson
it
Gavin Howard
It could go different ways >Robotic idols that encourage you to be ideal citizens But I think it's likelier that they'll do >Counter establishment pirate radio idols
Jacob Howard
Either dystopia would be cool, but the best would be fighting Grizz.
James Taylor
never in my life did I consider the possibility of smt alignment wars and splatoon shitposting to cross over and conceive something like this
>Chaos v Order result causes some massive rift which threatens the hosting of Splatfests and normal battles. >Mr. Grizz steps in, using funds raised from selling Golden Eggs to buy out the whole system. >Splatfests are now hosted by bland corporate shills instead of idols. >The tutorial section of Splatoon 3 has us get recruited by Marina/Pearl (if Chaos/Order win) into an underground resistance to retake control. >The aesthetic of the underground resistance is the same as whoever recruits you. >The single player content is accessed from the Underground, which has us infiltrating Mr.Grizz's HQ where the winner of the Splatfest is working for him. >During a Splatfest, you can either go for the win with one of the regular teams, or donate the points to the resistance and hijack the event. >Over the course of Splatfests, the city changes, Grizzco's influence is weakened and eventually Pearl/Marina join the resistance. >At the end of say the 12th Splatfest, 1 year after Grizzco's first, Off the Hook are reinstated as the hosts and the city has a balanced chaos/order aesthetic.
Michael Garcia
I like how Sheldon is right in the middle with Judd, he's totally going to be the neutral merchant arms dealer playing both sides for profit while the world is going to hell and I love it.
Jaxon Collins
How are future shades worse than a bike helmet with a mohawk?
Logan Turner
The disco ball antennas.
John Allen
FUCK I don't know if I want Mad Max or Blade Runner.
Evan Jones
Mohawk is cooler than shitty millennial glasses.
Henry Kelly
>Chaosfag >That sweet ass mohawk helmet
Time to go full Mad Max villain on the orderfags. The order helmet is pretty sweet too.
Andrew Roberts
>You get either Pearl ruling over a wasteland setting or Marina lording over a cyperpunk dystopia. This honestly seems like the best outcome. The story of Splat3 is you overthrowing one of them and making them understand you have to live somewhere in the middle of order and chaos to create an ideal society.
>it could have been a style merging Splatoon with JSR visual design >either stylish youths taking the city back from corporate/gov't oppression, or being plucky law enforcement taling back the mean streets of Inkopolis from warring street gangs >instead it's standard post-apocalyptic helmets Honestly JSR would make too much sense for a crossover, it's even an homage.
Eli James
>Metal vs techno idols tough choice
Gavin Williams
the aesthetic of these games is based af
Alexander Collins
The world needs a new rollerblading game.
Andrew Adams
Why not both? If Order wins there'll be a large central technocrat dystopian city surrounded by vast seas and arid land. If Chaos wins then it'll predominantly be a mad max wasteland with small underground pockets of Marina's techno rebellion.
The new rebel radio duo this time will have both girls from the same faction but depending on who won the other girl will have defected and joined the resistance.
