Best build is allways plasma crit build.
why reinvent the wheel?
Plasma sucks ass even with JSawyer
this game is so shit and boring you must start roleplaying to have some fun
cowboys are the most powerful race in the world
Stupid lazerboys thinking they can compare to a hot loaded 45-70
>being a coward and using ranged weapons
Lmao, get your head crushed.
Legion Assassin squads make the early game too easy.
cowboy life for me
Not even the greatest of sci-fi can produce a weapon as aesthetic as a cowboy six shooter.
how do I make my game look like this?
This. Just punch people to death
Where do I sign up for a Cobra Kai membership?
What makes you think energy weapons are supposed to be more powerful than projectile weapons, in that lore universe? Maybe they're just cheaper or lighter or something.
Because rubber works better than wood.
Energy weapons were better in F1-2.
I'm probably reaching, because "accuracy" of weapons, but I'm assuming a bullet would hurt a lot more, having lingering effects if you survive and an energy weapon would just instantly vaporize you before you can feel anything.
They are, actually. The BoS was founded to round them up because their potential for destruction outweighs regular ballistics.
No they weren't, the only one worth using was the huge one that looked like a minigun, the rest weren't as good as assault rifles
>zzzap
Well, combat really isn't the engine's strong point
Energy weapons are only a step up from harry potter wands
Is this achievable natty?
No attrition, evades almost all ballistic laws, energy (and heating) is more harmful than mere punture from a solid object. By definition are more powerful.
Making something travel at high speed into something else will always be the best, most energy efficient way of breaking things
they're not?
Yes but requires in any case a) aiming b) good materials c) bullet wounds are in a good % treatable.
If i have to electrocute you (this is the only energy shit we have today) i dont need aim, whatever i can touch of you i will fry you, materials yes you will need maybe good materials to store the energy but the attack per se is just energy and its more difficult saving someone from an electrocution or a big heat damage than a bullet.
No, starting a chain reaction with minimal input energy would be.
Armor can block bullets, but it can't stop you from self-incinerating.
>Energy weapon's power degrades over time
>An explosion throwing a tiny rock really fast will always be effective
But meltdown is the best thing in game.
Stims and other pre war drugs should be expensive and rare as hell.
You can do this with anything if you treat the game as a V.A.T.S. simulator
Russians are based

Plasma crit isn't as good as laser crit if you want max crit. that one gun what's it called? AER14 prototype? That's the best for crit build
Metal Blaster in FO3 was mega-based. 14 separate crit chances. I think it got nerfed in NV for obvious reasons
NV used to let you get 100% crits with the sniper rifle, which basically destroyed everything. They eventually patched that out.
You can still get 100% crits with a shovel though
The only time I ever use the shovel for combat is to kill the bottle caps guy that sneaks up on you at the start of every playthrough. Usually because it's the most powerful melee weapon I have at the time. It's always a great moment when you kill that guy, though.
>not using the shovel exclusively until you hit Primm
Who needs to shoot bitches when you can just smack them upside the head with a shovel
tri lazer is boss, shot it, didn't kill it? shoot it 3 more times in quick succession cause the dps is insane.
I use guns mostly because I like min maxing and staying at range helps to avoid having to use healing items or repair your armor. Admittedly there is no real need for this at all because you can always find enough crap to instantly heal yourself with in NV.
