>game man bad
why dont you guys actually have any genuine complaints?

bait thread, legitimately worse than both DMC2 and DMC5.

Capcom is not going to make another DmC, don't be delusional. They say that now to be polite because they know it will never happen. Here's why:

The original DmC struggled to reach 1mil in the first year and couldn't do it without discounts. It also took 6 years to reach 2mil. Those sales being that spread out is not profitable.

XBox bought out NT, if XBox cooperates it would be exclusive to xbox and maybe PC. If DmC struggled with 3 consoles, they will struggle even more without the PS3.

NT likely does not want to deal with this fandom again. They antagonized the shit out of us. Most of the core audience of DMC does not like NT because they left a bad taste.

DmC quite frankly was almost the nail in the coffin. Capcom is in the news praising themselves for reviving the franchise. DMC5 almost the entirety of DmC's lifetime sales in 2 weeks. That's without discounts. The game will likely pass their lifetime and then some, and has been a much more profitable venture than DmC ever was. Capcom is not going to risk alienating fans again.

fuck you

Genuinely a good game. At the very least it's a full, complete game unlike the blatant tech demo DMC4.

I see you stopped dissing on Donte once you started copying his aesthetic Charlie

Okay.
>Base game is 30 FPS
>The worst rainstorm ever, it locks you into place
>Color coded enemies kill all creativity and still exists in EE with stagger
>Braindead "puzzles"
>Base game had a ton of glitches with Dante getting stuck in flying animation
>DIFFERENT. KEYS. What the fuck?

That enough for you, faggot?

>muh subjective shit complaints that no one else has
why don't you guys actually have any genuine complaints?

Yes.
The only thing that makes it salvageable is the el donte mod that has been lost to time.

Ninja Theory's DmC: Devil May Cry is a disappointing game, but that's about all it's supposed to be, nothing more. After the success of Resident Evil 7 on the PS2 in 2003, the series found popularity on all platforms, but it still had troubles on consoles, most notably the failure of the series' third installment. Despite that, Capcom decided to make a sequel to the series, taking the main concept of the original and applying it to a new IP like. It may have been better suited to Capcom's more indie audience, where it's difficult to create an engaging game experience, but it still suffers with technical issues. And again, this is because of DmC: Devil May Cry, which had a higher budget and was much more complicated to produce. Even the combat is not in a great state. With one-on-one battles lasting nearly two weeks, these were extremely frustrating for newcomers, especially given the amount of damage you can do to your foes once they're at 50%. What worked well with hardcore gamers was the "fight of the century" in battle: you got to choose your attacks, and you made smart decisions as to when and how to block certain attacks or react to enemies. In terms of multiplayer, though, it's a completely terrible experience. The single-player campaign is very poorly developed. Overall I highly recommend you do not purchase this game.

The biggest problem was it's marketing. If it didn't give a literal "fuck you" to long-time fans the game would have been fine for what it was.

I mean when you compare it to DMC3 for example or even DMC4 or 5 now it's fucking beyond shit, but at heart it's a mediocre game with some cool shit in it, I liked the TV boss battle, it was interesting, the writing was cringe tier and it did look nice for the time

Diffrents user, but to add to your list
>no taunts
>no after credit scene where you kill a bunch of demons
>visuals are eye blinding
>platforming is a drag
>no Cuhrrazy weapons
>all Bossfight were shit except for Vergil who was still inferior compared to 3 and 5

>or even DMC4
What does that mean? DMC4 is mechanically superior to DMC3.

I always forget it has no taunts. Christ.

Ninja Theory's DmC: Devil May Cry is nothing but a mediocre game. Unfortunately, I'd say that almost all of that is due to its flaws in execution—a couple of the weapons, most of the animations, and the dialogue, are a bit too edgy. On the plus side, despite its shortcomings and lacking content, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and DmC: Devil May Cry are two of the worst video game remakes to come out of last week's console generation thanks to the way those games were executed. It might be worth noting though that both of those games also took risks with the idea, creating environments that were more challenging than before as players explored the games world.

As a new person on the PS4 who's really gotten into DmC lately, I really dislike the combat system. The combat feels like the same system from Demon's Souls, but it's in the modern era rather than on the old JRPG consoles, so there's a lot more customization to keep things fresh. The skill trees are awesome, and your characters are actually fun to play, so I don't know that it will have the same impact as some of the better entries in the series did in the past. One really fun part of DmC I can recommend however is that you get extra health and magic, which makes the combat a lot more fun.

Score: 1.5/5.0

It's bad as a DMC game but it's better than most western action games

Ninja Theory's DmC: Devil May Cry is a fantastic souls-like game. After the excellent port of the game for PC in 2010, it's no secret that some folks still want the game to be released even though Capcom had received a massive backlash. In the years since then, the game's fanbase exploded in intensity and excitement: there were a ton of demons released, fans started producing hilarious modded versions of the game, and I played a ton of the original DmC: Devil May Cry on the Switch. If I told you last year that you could make a Mario-esque hack-n-slash game on Switch, you'd probably have laughed.

In the early days, though, the Switch port of DmC: Devil May Cry was a much more divisive game. Some fans didn't like that it was a console game that was coming from a triple-A developer, even the creators of the original trilogy: Mario and The Great Paper Chase had expressed their displeasure with the console port, specifically with a scene where Dante has to steal a blue power beam from a blue light saber. This scene is so intense that the only way to get it back on Nintendo's platform was to complete a challenge that required smashing the blue powershield with the right sticks. With its new game engine, the Switch port made that scene less of an issue.

Ninja Theory's DmC: Devil May Cry is so good! It feels like an evolution of Final Fantasy 8 but with an added Souls combat and it should be a total smashing success. But I feel like I'm still holding back a bit, because it's so good. For example...

Might it be a bit tricky to adapt Final Fantasy 8 with The World Ends With You's soundtrack?

No, I'm not sure about that. I guess you'd have to adjust it? But the big thing is it is so good, and the score is so well done, so I think you could go back to your own world. But it might feel less familiar for some people after playing it for a while.

DmC benefited from a ton of patches and re-releases.

The fact that it (now) runs at 60 FPS and doesn't have any QTEs already gives it a huge advantage over many other games.

It's a rather good western action game but doesn't hold a candle to DMC3 or 4, if you want a stylish action game it's about as good as DMC1 in that regard I'm fully aware DMC1 is more strategic than the later games and being stylish there is not a priority, fuck off. Vergil's Downfall was actually really good. The plot of base game and VD is fucking terrible and the DLC in particular is shameless in how much it rips off anime.

Make the REmake 2 video Charlie

>Discounts
I remember when steam sales made buying the DMC collection cheaper than it was alone if you accepted DmC in a bundle. That's just sad.
