E3's been dead for over a decade, all it's used for anymore is announcement trailers for games that won't be out for another four years and "in-game footage" that will in no way resemble the actual final product. PAX and TGS are the actual gaming conventions now.

Nigger what? E3 has been breaking records every year and last years was the biggest in over 10 years. This year is predicted to be even bigger and literally everyone is eagerly waiting to see what Microsoft shows later today.

E3 isn't for consumers. It's for the shareholders.
When a game company want to impress its audience it drops a 4 minute trailer on a random day, and say it's coming out in a couple months.
When they want to impress people who buy their stocks they hold a big conference with all the stuff they plan on releasing for the next 3 years.
