Why doesn't Yea Forums like racing games? Are they too reliant on skill?
Why doesn't Yea Forums like racing games? Are they too reliant on skill?
Every second thread is a CTR thread does that count?
Yea Forums is too plebeian, fat and effeminate to enjoy actual challenge. They play single player RPGs and then say git gud.
I'm beginning to see a lot of women in GT Sport too, you can tell they are quite emotional and there's a reason they're getting their own driving leagues now.
They just can't keep a pace up for more than 2 laps.
Also nerds are bad at real sports, which, racing is.
fuck sims
racing games are just one big qte.
and I LOVE when said qte's games draw a line on the track to let me know EXACTLY where should I drive and at what speed.
What is this? Looks like a blast
There's no trans people or black people for them to complain about in them ergo their Yea Forums brain affliction does not allow them to play or be interested in them.
What did he mean by this?
>having it on
Even 12 year olds are less casual than you are
driving is boring
driving fast without the feeling of inertia, danger and the sound of the air and the car is boring
Someone here was complaining about black people and women in Forza Horizon 4 yesterday. Yea Forums, uh, finds a way. Some of the harmless music got censored for no reason which is an *actual* problem.
/thread
people shit on the fps genre for being the same game each time but holy fuck, racing games are literally the pinnacle
i can play a racing game that came out in the 90's and then a racing game that came out this year, and the only difference between the two will be the poly count
and shittier music and more in game advertisements
I mean, you can play all the assisted qte's you want with the said 12 years olds, I can drive a car.
Open world driving games are good. I like to mindlessly floor it down highways at night in rainy weather
I only liked burnout and this really old hotwheels game.
For me, it's the FD
I feel like there has been a daily racing game thread for the last few weeks. There are clearly people here who enjoy them, including myself. Been playing Grid 2 lately
Is this trackmania
Why not both?
Cars are fucking gay
Yes, looks like Canyon
I don't know much about cars. Kind of embarrassing to play a sim and can't understand what tuning does what. Or clip the apex or some shit.
>driving this fast and not crashing into anything
How the fuck?
>FD
So the 1993-1997 Mazda RX-7 ?
Shift 2 was the best racer ever made. Fight me.
Memorization
Trackmania is basically a test of muscle memory. The game resets instantly with button press, so you end up running the course again and again and again 30+ times. It's about as simple as a racing game gets. Well, more time trial than racing.
To be fair, CTR is the goat kart racer
Boring ass games. I already own a real car and I drive it every day, no thanks
>that
>fast
Yes. You didn't think I was referring to a gayass Civic right?
You're supposed to learn playing sims. Assetto Corsa doesnt start car tuning until almost half way into the career mode. Clipping the apex is a good thing unless your suspension has an extremity stiff fast bump setting.
Is CTR actually skill based or is it RNG garbage like Mario Kart?
So can you complete the course not going this fast and just regular speed?
People who enjoy driving are better at it.
I like older racing games on the SNES and even PS1, but as time went on they began to chase realism and licensing too much and it completely lost me.
Oh boy, I get to choose from 300 real life cars on 3 whole tracks.
>yfw driving fast with the feeling of inertia, danger and the sound of the air and the car is scary
Not usually, maps like that are called FullSpeed because you need to go flat out
yup
1000 hours playing racing sims is trumped by 5 minutes at a drag strip or even better, an actual course if you live in Europe
you must be a complete brainlet to not be able to tell the massive differences in physics and handling.
It still has the items but they can all be blocked.
It has a lot more shit to master than Mario Kart. It's just a deeper game. Boosts are handed out for pretty much everything, but only skilled players can carry boosts for an entire lap.
>600+ for a set of good tires
>600+ for good pads and rotors
>50+ for a tank of premium
>20000+ if I crash my car
Fuck I wish real track driving was cheaper. Racing games are fun but it can't match the real thing (which I've only done 3 times)
Fullspeed tracks, which are what those are, are designed to be played with you holding down the accelerator the whole time. On some tracks letting go of W for even a split second can make the track impossible to complete.
No one cares about your time at the European drag strip
nah drag strip is insanelt fucking boring and brainlet tier unless you have spent 20k in building an engine.
t. actual courses in europe.
this looks incredibly fun
to be fair the best rotor bar none unless you're running big brake kit and endurance races is the stock blank.
And if you got based nipmachine you can usually just fix the body damage for a grand or so.
I do though. Next race is at 3am
I'm not handling the wait very well
Remakes NEVER remember to keep all the mechanics, especially not from a 20 year old game. This not only did that, but they gave it fucking online play as well.
I'm actually seething that I have to wait another 2 weeks.
I just poorfag it up in a fucking sonic and go conefagging.
what is this?
