mGBA sucks

first dragon quest on retroarch. have killzone and a few hd collections but really only been playing dragon quest

It's actually gotten a lot better. Should be fully playable in a few months.

Vita sucks, prove me wrong.

You can read VNs in bed, and play La-Mulana on it.

why not just use gpsp or retroarch? i havent tried gba games so maybe they dont run well, but that just seems easier

mGBA is better than retroArch cores

the only gba games im probably gonna emulate are chain of memories and superstar saga. if it can run those i wont bother installing a whole new emulator

use 3DS for GBA games

What's the best method it to hack it these days you fucking faggot

Lookin to upgrade my storage. Anybody have experience with really large capacity SD? I've read some complaints about anything bigger than 128.

I have a 256GB card in both my slim and my fat, it takes a while to rebuild the database on boot but that's it.

>Being poor and having to hack

Lol sorry you can't experience games like a regular person. Stay warm on the street bitch.

>it takes a while to rebuild the database on boot
???

clean my toilet, wagie

The way it mounts sd2vita/psvsd means the Vita will have to reload all your installed games on boot, which takes longer depending on how many you've installed. It won't take more than a minute or two, and only on coldboot, which isn't a problem since the Vita's sleep mode is godly.

Mine doesn't do that. I have like 240GB of games and mine loads up in like 10 seconds cold boot.

Before getting an SD2Vita (since they didn't yet exist), I had a 64GB proprietary memory card. Then, when SD2Vitas became a thing, I got one with a 128GB microSD, but I still wanted to use the proprietary card for solely PSP isos. But since I had already installed tons of Vita games on it, I had to copy everything over to the new microSD. Basically, I had to set Windows to view hidden files and protected OS files, copy and paste the entire contents of my Vita memory card to the computer, mount the microSD, and copy everything onto the microSD. Then delete the games from the apps folder on the proprietary memory card. (you can't just delete the bubbles from the Vita itself with the proprietary card mounted, or else the bubbles will remain disappeared even when the microSD is mounted)
I know this doesn't really have anything to do with your question, but it's somewhat relevant if you plan on migrating from a proprietary card to a microSD.

Oh. Then that might just be since the only time I reboot is to switch between my accounts.

My bad! Yeah there's no downside.

no games

It’s great on anything with a decent CPU, read not the Vita

no shit

Bullet Girls Phantasia for the high impact engaging gameplay and plot.

Also DT2.

should i get a 2000 or 1000?

They just werk, though over 200 gigs you need to format it with a certain cluster size for the Vita to properly list free space. You can find that just by googling though.
t. I have a 256 gig one.

I'll either give Dragonball Z: Battle of Z or Dragon Quest Builders a serious go
1000

2k, unless you're getting a 3G unit for PSVSD then 1k.

Literally just finished hacking it and now its charging. Got any recs? I want to mostly use it for emulation, is that pretty straightforward?

I assume I can just dump PS1 ISO's somewhere in the UX0 and they will be playable

PS1 images need to be eboots and put inside the PSP emulator's folders. That's how the Vita runs them. You can download basically anything as an 'eboot', that's the package format that the PSP used and there's sites dedicated to stocking both official PSN ones and fan-made ones.

nice, thats really helpful. Do you know a good site for finding those?
