The story was shit, but you can skip most cutscenes and the game was fun, plus they have a competent writter now

Dying light's story is trash, the characters are trash, but the co-op and gameplay mechanics were pretty fun, and night was pretty comfy.

It could have been better, yes, but it was pretty solid from a gameplay perspective.

The Following has a better story though, even though it's still pretty mediocre.

Never gonna happen. Techland made it as well as they did with the first game on listening to their fans and giving them more and more stuff. Pulling exclusivity shit would piss off their fans a ton

If you didn't play Dying Light with friends you don't deserve to have an opinion about it. It was one of the best co-op games this gen.
