There's literally 3 types of demons in SMT IV, high health low mp, mid health mid mp, and low health high mp. The values exist in identical proportions across the board and since everything is a glass cannon you'll get fucked if you use any of the low health ones, and you really don't need a high max mp. Since there's not even the most rudimentary inheritance restrictions every demon is literally defined by these values and whatever strengths weaknesses they have. Even their stat variances are incredibly flat. Thankfully IV:A pretty much fixed all of this so its actually enjoyable.

Its really not. At base its 1 point of mp every 4-5 seconds of straight walking just for the MC. And it is 4 levels worth of APP points to get that, not a particularly small investment.
If you walked in circles it could potentially be really OP, but its faster just to farm chakra drops or maccaa and buy them from shinjuku

I feel like high hp low mp demons exist way more than the former and latter.
Eveytime I wanted to fuse my demons pretty 90% of what was available in a higher level was a high hp low mp. Which is fucking annoying as hell when you have a bunch of high-mid mp demons and high mp moves.
