It runs great emulated if you fiddle around a little bit, i.e. enable progressive mode, anti-ghosting, widescreen-hack. Seeing the changes to SJ I hope it doesn't get ported anytime soon to be perfectly honest.

Strange Journey was fine. The gameplay additions more than made up for it, in my opinion, and the voice acting was actually great.
The changes to SJ were almost all good, and the ones that weren't good weren't that bad either.

Mapping that was fine because of the Sub-apps to avoid low level enemies, the one that stops you when you're about to step on a trap and maps that trap and the one to minimize damage from trap floors, though that last one isn't really necessary. You can just walk the whole floor without worrying about dying because the floor can't kill you and you don't have to keep dropping down to map the pitfalls.
Someone needs to make a cover of this shit with metal screaming instead.
