The trust system sounds neat. Will they eventually implement it for ARR and HW too? Especially for Castrum and Praetorium it'd be good for new players who suffer long queues, just make it a one-time use so they can experience the last two dungeons without rushing. HW trust dungeons would be kino depending on how well it's done. Imagine doing Sohm Al with Ysale, Alphinaud and Estinien, with Estinien just working as a tank if none is present. But I have no idea how they'd do Aery for which only Estinien was present.

Castrum and Praetorium aren't really that bad queue-wise, and they took away cutscenes skipping so new players aren't forced to skip the story or else be kicked/be left behind a million miles away while everyone's already at Nero or whatever

You can take off your clothes to equal a certain item level before you queue. Only want to have LotA or ST as options? Wear a 390 weapon and a 380 earring and your iL will be like 77. Queue up, then put all your clothes back on.

The game looks at your item level when you queue to determine what you can end up with. Doing this, you can still get your 50 genesis for using alliance roulette and also have a 100% chance of getting LotA or ST.

Do you want high personal damage or exist to prop up other people's damage?

Granted, I think DRG is trading a bit of support for more personal dps in 5.0.

Alliance Roulette with LotA/ST is the most time efficient way to get exp. It's better than Leveling Roulette by quite a bit.

Never done it on ff14 so I can't comment on any of that, but the general rule of think about all 5 senses you have and make good use of similes and metaphor is good, and also learning when to shift the tone, from softer and more formal things to dirtier terminology. Depending on your partner's preferences you'll often want to figure out if that just means using normal raunchy words or going full degenerate and calling cum baby batter and shit.

What are some of the easiest ones to get into then work my way up?

Not that that would be the end of the world, but would be a neat twist if each raid covered a different game. Right, basically it goes like this; "I want to get to 60/61 for Garo (and potentially heaven on high)" and for that he doesn't really need the gear. You don't need to upgrade your gear if you go the lazy route and level through MSQ/Alliance Roulettes or only spam PotD/HoH.

Fray is actually worse than a DoT because DoTs at least get snapshotted in buff/debuff windows so their whole duration can deal additional damage, whereas Fray is an autoattacker so he won't benefit from the full duration of buffs/debuffs.

Some things were buffed to make up for heavy thrust and disembowel piercing debuff being removed, though I don't know if they were buffed to just make up for those losses or if they would've gotten a bit extra because litany was nerfed and they want to tone down raid buffs in general. If not, then I guess DRG is even more deep into the cuckshed than ever.

Potencies will change from the media tour build and even if they don't, adjusting numbers is easy. Having good class design but being undertuned is a much better position to be in than doing great damage but having shit class design. Low DPS can be fixed in 1 patch, shit design has to wait until the next expansion and even then it's a dice roll.

Heavy thrust got moved to disembowl. Piercing thrust is gone but most jobs got around 50 extra potency to compensate on their moves. The "buffs" to most attacks are just there to even out the lack of piercing. If you look at their potencies compared to other jobs, their attacks are fucking shit. Raiden Thrust is 330 potency, which is less than a Wheeling Thrusts before lance mastery buff. They are indeed, in the shed.

SAM fags posted incessantly in stormblood threads back when it was believed Jinpu was a 15% buff to damage. Basically all of the parse fags parsed out that SAM did like 20% more dps than every other job.
So naturally SAMfags were shitposting almost non-stop about stealing MNK/DRG's spot.
When Jinpu was revealed to only be a 10% buff a lot of it died down but kept going until DRG and other DPS got buffed in 5.3 making SAM utterly garbage.
Shitty SAM "mains" stayed and kept shitting up the party finder with their 2k DPS despite the job essentially being dead.

We don't, BLU and its typical progression are unsuited to the kind of game that XIV is. Imagine that opening cutscene where you whack a kraken to death to learn Water Cannon except you're starting at lv. 50, have to traverse all manner of ARR content before you can get into Heavensward, then Heavensward into Stormblood, and then you can finally raid with it... at roughly the same efficiency as one of the existing jobs, since it has to be raid-balanced.

Theres nothing to master with true north buffs and doing 456123 over and over. The only difference I'm gameplay between fights is when your FC will light up

Yukikaze will give 15 sen instead of 10 sen, skill-speed builds won't run you out of TP midway through the battle because of TP removal, Hagakure is replaced with Ikishoten which flatly restores 50 kenki (you lose the ability to consume sens at will; have to use Midare Setsugekka before you can refresh Higanbana goy), gets some more tools like Tsubame-gaeshi to use an iaijutsu twice for double Midare. Straight-up it's one of the best flat improvements out of all the jobs, it's perfectly keeping with what was established in Stormblood while allowing both for its current Shinten spam and allowing for the pre-Hagakure lead-up to Midare Setsugekka.

I've been a WAR since XI Zilart days, no real plans to change regardless of how weak or strong we're made. We ARE in a good spot though but I'd welcome a nerf. WAR since it's braindead simple while not having any tools that ever feel completely useless. Its burst windows still make me hard and Fell Cleaves are so satisfying in general that the other tanks just don't compare visually. GNB might beat it visually though once we get to see its actual rotation since RIP AND TEAR seems really neat.

I confess I haven't even unlocked Hagakure yet Lv63 currently). Losing Ageha sucks, and having to use Midare before Higanbanana will be a pain, but overall it sounds bretty gud.

You have replicas for the non-glow version of pyros-hydatos version (X-Elemental/Hydatos). The proper named relic is only available in glow form.

SE is full of fucking retards who don't play their own game. The SUPER easy fix would be to reduce the amount of healing inflicted on self if you're a green class. It would still make two healers cancer to kill, but would stop the whole "need 4 DPS to kill a lone healer" bullshit.

Overall I'm pretty excited for ShB, even if we're being forced into 3mudra'ing a huge amount of the time which is always a bit uncomfortable

drk because the sound design is really cool, blood weapon lets me go fast, and tbn makes a lot of potentally scary situations less so

Meisui will only be used if you desperately need the ninki to activate Bunshin on CD, or during TCJ. On normal jutsus it's not a DPS gain over Raiton or the new Hyoton.

Meisui's existence means that it's no longer a DPS gain to do Fuma > Katon > Doton with TCJ, even if every Doton tick will hit the boss. You're always better off doing Fuma > Raiton > Suiton.

Same as Ninja limit is kind of based in UBW or so I have heard.

So I'm level 70 and I need to upgrade my gear for the next MSQ. I've been told to buy a new weapon from the marketboard but the cheapest one I see is 480,000 gil which will leave me at 62,000 gil so I don't really want to do that.

Is there any other easy way to quickly gear up my weapon?

Raid-tier weapons are your best bet, but you'll need to gear up for those in the first place. Do some world-visit shopping also, you'll probably be able to find a better price for what you want on another world.

you could probably get a crafter to make one for you for cheaper, or check around on a different server with world visit since rakshasa shit is like 280000 on my server

How much mendacity do you have? If you have at least 700 you can buy any of the Rakshasa weapons for any job and trade them up to a 390 Yama weapon.
