first playthrough is designed to be rough as fuck and you will almost always end it with 0 points, this is normal
the game has tons of content and you can do tons of playthroughs of it and still not see it all

a good first tip is to speed your way towards an extra action fan (extra action per turn) super useful and the faster you get it the better
you can get action fans by reaching certain milestones of rance's satisfaction level, the first being at 50 points

for an endgame goal which can be done in the first playthrough, beat Masamune as you will then unlock their family for use in future playthroughs when you can afford the points to spend on starting with them.
Omachi is easily the strongest character in the game and her alone is well worth this entire family bonus

It's been finished translating for almost year now.

If you're tryharding, the monks are the most cost-effective troop to spam since they have a lower reinforcement cost IIRC

I played all the translated ones. I actually like Kichikuou and Rance IV more than Sengoku. Rance 02 remake was pretty good too, but don't play it for the H scenes, they're like 5 seconds long

These are the kinds of things that happen when you play Alicesoft games blind. I didn't find that particularly fun. These games only come alive when you know what you're doing and can actually execute you're well crafted battle plans

To each their own. I found it easy enough to figure out which house will wreck your shit.
It's one of those games I wish I could go back and play it blind again.

I wanted to before it was translated but it sort of fell out of mind. Maybe I'll get around to it one of these days. That and the sci-fi one with a Rance cameo.

Enjoy the ride i guess. gameplay isn't super difficult untill the end.
It's impossible to 100% on the first run so you're going to miss some objectives.

Certain units are broken as fuck but the only one i remember is Maria. find a broken unit midgame and pump them up.

Save often and use multiple slots, you can easily fuck yourself over in lategame if you only have 1 save.

I found out a pretty good tip that will help with finances since money is really hard to get early game. pick up garbage on every territory you own every turn and it will pay off.

I liked it more than Sengoku as well
Really nice to know exactly how much damage a character will do. Hell, there's very little randomness in the game at all, only dodge chances and start of turn events IIRC

Played evenicle myself last week, gameplay was alright, story is kinda basic, world building was great though, hope evenicle 2 gets translated soon.

The garbage thing only goes up to a limit of 2000 BP. If you're having money problems, follow Gou's advice and go to Hanny engineering ASAP, and then check out some of the star events in Yokohama afterwards

Also, talk to Sanae if you ever get below 100 BP, it will be worth your time.

When I was playing yesterday I picked up 5000 in one clean. I thought it was based on how many times you did it or it was just really rare to get. I'm guessing it was the latter

The 5000 you get for doing all the Se... Cre...T ...Di...ary events and then picking up garbage afterwards. You don't get any money from picking up garbage after you get your 5000

I don't normally do those because I'd rather use my event phase for other things. 5000 is chump change in late game

I'm not actually sure how you even get the bad end. I think you have to somehow not have defeated every faction before you do the final dungeon, but I'm usually done with that before the final dungeon even opens

Your ending depends on your heroine you chose, by the way. I hope you're rolling with Sanae since she's the most useful one and her new game plus bonuses makes the enemy capture thing so much easier

I mistook it for another which was a VN in the rance series. Still, the gameplay certainly looks fun but dragged down due to the whole ''rape'' every female as I've said which seems to be a reoccuring theme in every rance game.

Yeah, he's less of a violent, impulsive asshole post Kichikuou. Not that he doesn't still have his moments from time to time, but I can't really pinpoint a single moment in the older games where he behaves like he does with, for example, Kaguya. I fully believe that the Rance from Kichikuou would have done violent torture in addition to sexual torture

It was supposed to be the conclusion to the series before it became a surprise success and saved Alicesoft from bankruptcy

Every game after it except Rance 5 is literally just doing individual scenarios from Kichikuou. Sengoku is based on the war against JAPAN in Kichikuou, though JAPAN isn't the first campaign in Kichikuou (it's actually optional), so I'm not sure why they did it first

Yeah, the game series is like 30 years old, so ofcourse there is going to be some changes to his personality.
But they ended up writing a pretty decent backstory for him, where he got mistreated in the village he grew up in and basically got raped by the chief's daughter who treated him like shit before but becomes docile and affectionate after, which is what fucked up his way of thinking.

Shit, my bad, Rance VI was first with the Zeth war, which still wasn't first. I guess they just couldn't find a way to make the Leazas Rebellion make sense

Not him, but Eiyuu Senki is easy enough (and not as fun as Sengoku, although they're different enough). It only gets a bit hard towards the last fights of the game, but by then you're almost done with the game. H-scenes gets tiring not too far into the game and become a chore late into it if you are the kind to go through every event games have to offer. I found it alright at best.

Every (or almost every) playable character gets at least one H-scene, some 2 or 3. I think there's 92 scenes in the game.

Well even in VI, he helped Urza become a functioning human being again by showing her how retarded and pathetic her self-doubt was, and got Kimchi to quit the slut life. He didn't have to do either of those things and could have just fucked them and left like he normally does.

Sure, he also tried to throw Rocky off a cliff, but even that didn't seem quite as fucked up as what he put Feliss through in 5D or some of the stuff in prior games
