Its overrated as fuck. Its undoubtedly a great JRPG but that its propped up as some masterpiece just because its got a cool atmosphere is really fucking reaching. Its barebones and repetitive as hell combat wise.

SMT IV:A would be the best SMT game if the dungeons were better, your partners weren't so fucking obnoxious and maybe if the game had had a divine powers route

Why does it get so boring after you leave the hospital?
I played the game like 5 times and by the time I leave the hospital into the overworld, I lose my motive to want to play.

I love all of the fiends since they're mostly cool skeletons.

IVA would be the best game, if it simply didn't exist, and all the cut content from the original IV was properly utilized to make a complete story

Use buffs. Don't hold onto demons for very long unless they have broken exclusive skills like Daisoujou. Always be hitting weaknesses.

Flawless atmosphere, amazing combat and a concise story.
Wish the dungeons weren't either dull or shitty teleport mazes tho. Only really liked the diet building.

Battles are won by party composition rather than raw power, so fuse and recruit demons frequently.
Phys is better than mag for the superboss.
You are required to use buffs, but then you will learn soon the hard way anyway.
