Batmobile simulator

>dude batmobile
highly over-exaggerated complaint, stop memeing

Too many BatTank missions. I mean shit there are several points in the game where it feels like the story is about to progress, then Batman goes whoops gotta go make sure my batmobile can get through these tunnels too!
I don't even mind the Arkham Knight reveal since its a separate continuity where Red Hood didn't exist already
I mean, how the fuck do you hype up a deathstroke boss fight then just have fucking tank wars with him

i hated those stupid machinegunners having to frigin go htrough entire sequence of dodge/counters making everyone around catch up to me

batmobile was overused but fun

The batmobile side missions where you had to chase down the apc commanders were kino in videogame form. Felt like a proper car chase.

Shit villains with stupid plan, THE JOKER IS STILL EVERYWHERE, the fact that everything you did in the previous games now requires you to use the batmobile, the 10 minutes long dlcs, and some stupid additions like the takedown where you can kill 5 people for free

>Game was optimised so poorly for PC that WB had to hide the game from further Steam purchases for months, and the fixes we got pretty much did nothing but remove graphical features or make current assets look worse than the PS4 version of the game instead of tackling the main issues with optimisation
>Rocksteady spent months trying to convince people that the Arkham Knight wasn't Jason Todd when everybody called his identity almost immediately after the character was revealed - and of course it turned out it was Jason Todd

The launch was pretty horrendous, was funny to watch but not so much to play.

Everyone immediately predicting that AK would be Jason, Rocksteady deliberately saying "its a new character its not Jason" only for it to just be fucking Jason anyway.

Batmobile was fine but it's not what people came to expect from the series and focused too much on it. Traditional Bruce gameplay was probably the best in the series in fact.

It's pretty crazy how this game completely soured people on the series as a whole. People loved and talked about City for years after release, hell even Origins had some staying power despite being worse, but after Knight came along people just immediately forgot not just about it but the Arkham series entirely.

Attached: 1435045771664.png (1920x1080, 2.82M)

Don't get me wrong, some of the batmobile segments were absolute video game kino, but it was overused to a point where it felt like a fucking joke from rocksteady.
"Hey wouldn't it be fun to see what happens next? Tough shit! Go get your batmobile!"
At least this game let you use different costumes and batmobile skins in the first playthrough, that was neat

If you could use 1989 batmobile for story missions then it'd be kino/10.

The game was good and did a lot of things very well, like all the joker interactions throughout the city. The only downside was that it felt like there wasn't enough side missions and characters.

Batmobile made me wish for a mecha game.
The Riddler missions were the worst use of the car in the game.

Pretending until release that it totally was not Jason Todd. When it was called a year before release at least and became increasingly obvious.
Shoving the Batmobile where it does not belong, such as race tracks for the Riddler and the Deathstroke battle not even containing a proper fight.
Stealth tank sections which is pretty retarded.
The Batmobile itself is fine but there should have been limits to its use.
The Joker, again. Even beyond death.
Scarecrow is not on the same level as Asylum.
Firefly will never be good.
Botched launch that was so bad they actually pulled it for months and refunded people.
The plot is pretty uneven and belabors the problem that Batman does not communicate enough.
Dealing with the Riddler is a giant fetch quest of no value and the puzzles with catwoman are largely boring.

With all that said, its not a bad game. Just maybe a bit lower rated than the rest of the series.

I personally liked it a lot. The core gameplay is solid.
The issue is that a lot of the plotlines don't have satisfying conclusions. Pretty much all of them end with Batman cinematically punching someone and then driving them to GCPD in the Batmobile. I think Mr. Freeze is the major exception because he's not considered a villain in the story.

As far as the Batmobile goes, it's really satisfying to use. Some of the mission types got old though, they could have dialed back on them. Also there could have been a lot more puzzles that involved the Batmobile in clever ways, that was wasted potential as fuck.

the PC launch was insane, but consoles did fine to my knowledge

i still liked the game after it was fixed up. it flowed well and the side quest system was probably the best out there

I actually liked the missions where you had to use the batmobile to open up paths in the scenery. It made it feel like the bad guys were actually trying to keep Batman out. Like, "yeah this obstacle would be literally impassible if you didn't have the car." Gave a sense that the villains were really bringing the A-game this time around.

The only problem that I had with the Arkham Knight reveal was that it made Batman look like a fucking moron.
>Yeah Joker had Jason Todd holed up in fucking Arkham Asylum for a literal YEAR (a place Batman crawls inside and out regularly) and he never fucking noticed
stupid. they should have just kept the comic storyline where Batman does actually find him but not in time to save his life, and he gets resurrected but insane by the league of assassins. Literally can't explain why they didn't do that.

I liked the Joker bits a lot personally, it was different enough from the usual taunting over the radio in the past. Interacting with the world while nobody can see him, joking about shit like Barbara being crippled was pretty great.

He also had multiple lines for every villain you capture in the PD which was pretty nice.

I'm torn about the Joker in AK. On one hand, verbal shitposting into Batman's ear was 10/10 dialogue. On the other hand, it annoys me on a conceptual level that they shoehorned Joker into the main villain role AGAIN.

Having the Joker providing colour commentary is fine.
Making him the final point of the game for the fourth time in a row was excessive, even if I did like the way it was handled, mostly. The joker infected were uniformly bad however.

I personnally liked Jason Todd in the game. It was moronic indeed and not having him resurrected is bad writing, but the only problem I had was pretending it was not him to the end. For what purpose really.

The problem is that the actual main villain in Scarecrow is just so much more boring. We've seen his shtick enough times and it never changes, meanwhile even though you could say the same for Joker it's actually unique and new this time around, and the personality just completely overshadows whatever the fuck scary gas bombs Crane is going on with.

What is better:

>repetitive as fuck
>literally one of, if not THE worst PC port ever
>sub-par ending
>DLC out the fucking ass
>the twist was stupid

it had some very very good moments and the whole pyschological approach was really well done but it just crescendos into nothing and the batmobile was way, way overused.

it was mediocre and that's disappointing considering how could arkham city and asylum were

Attached: 580b585b2edbce24c47b29f6.png (384x313, 39K)

In an ideal world, the AK would take center stage as the main villain with Scarecrow as the sidekick, not the other way around. Though I do like Scarecrow's villain monologues this time around. Good voice, intimidating lines, well acted.

armor suit looks better in-game, it comes down to if you like simpler vs more high tech look I guess, and the higher tech fits the rest of the game way better than the asylum suit does, and vice versa

if you want asylum just play asylum

Scarecrow is the actual main villain, but they pretty much turned him into Hugo Strange. He's almost nothing like his Asylum version.

The suit exists to justify the Fear Multi-Takedown.

That as well, why the fuck is the title of the game Arkham Knight, with Arkham Knight being on the cover, when he's just second fiddle to Scarecrow, who ends up de facto second fiddle to Joker anyway.

I think all the characters are fine but they're just set around each other poorly, which I guess is the story's fault and whoever wrote it.

In terms of concept art this one
In game I prefer the look of that one.

I think they just panicked and realized that they blew their load too early. He literally called Bruce "old man" in the trailer, how the fuck did they expect anyone who knows red hood to not immediately guess it is beyond me.

the fear takedown stuff was dumb, too
>witness bullets literally phasing through Batmans' body but he's invincible lmao
also it made predator sections really easy

I was a huge fan of asylum and city, played origins and felt cheated, waited a few months after knight got released to buy it on steam and had a few freezes but nothing horrendous. I also paced out the tank missions so they didn't feel so repetitive. I had a great time with the game and believe its better than city by a long shot. i loved the bat chases and loved the main story line. I knew it was todd and didn't care because i like this iteration of the red hood.

I'm hoping the next game is Arkham Army and focuses on playing as the other Batman sidekicks as opposed to playing as Batman whose gone crazy from the joker blood being in him for so long. Nighwing Batgirl and Robin should be the PCs with Catwoman sidequests as usual

Story would’ve been kino if it was Dini’s Hush and Scarecrow idea instead of forcing a “new” character for the sake of trying to be original.

If they made a new Batman game, do you want a story continuation of the Arkham games, a new continuity, or something based on a comic story line?

Attached: 1543729849072.jpg (2782x2139, 960K)

it chugged on the ps4

Arkham Knight should have been Quincy Sharp on Titan and Lazarus. He was getting built up to be a big villain since asylum. they should have used him instead of rehashing red hood.

There's only one answer to this question and everyone knows it.

Attached: 268x0w.jpg (268x268, 25K)

Batman: Arkham Beyond

but we just got a Spider-Man game

I like the origins batsuit the best. Looks dense enough to take a bullet but still light enough for bats to do his thing

You know what was even more annoying than the forced Joker shit? The forced Poison Ivy shit. What the FUCK were they thinking? Was she one of the writer's waifus or something?

It really isn't. Batmobile puzzles, batmobile parkour, batmobile racing, batmobile combat missions, batmobile stealth, batmobile everything. Compare the 15 Batmobile AR challenges to the 4 Combat AR challenges and the 4 Stealth AR challenges.

You know it.
youtube.com/watch?v=sMXjtvMAFlI

I actually wonder if we're a vocal minority or if that could really take off if Rocksteady got the gist of it. Well, doesn't matter anyway as they're working on something else right now.

shit story, shit pc port even after all the fixes, shitty dlc, shitty challenge missions, too much batmobile, shitty bosses like deathstroke driving a fucking tank that youve already fought before, etc.

I don't. I think a good bit of hate stems from the horrible PC launch.
I even enjoy the Batmobile.

But did you get a Spider-man/Electro team up?

I thought about saying, but I always say it, so I figured I should ask a different question, mah niggas.

Attached: 1538039195972.jpg (600x336, 57K)

Too many boss fights turned into just batmobile shit. Batmobile should have just been for car chases or travel, not tank fights. Also pissed that the ps4 still has the best suits (JL3000, Earth 2 Dark Knight, 60's batmobile skin)

Attached: original.jpg (1500x846, 284K)

Last I checked everyone was being contrarian here and saying it was perfect outside of the batmobile as if the batmobile isnt 60%+ of the game.

On a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the maximum, how contrived was it that all of the tanks were unmanned so that Batman could blow them up with impunity?

how much 90s can you squeeze into 60 seconds

Arkham Origins is still the best one by the way.

Not as contrived as boosting into a thug at max speed and him being just stunned.
So I say 5/10

it was a pretty silly copout but ultimately it didn't matter, if they didn't do that it they would just have them be wrecked instead of blowing the fuck up, which isn't as cool.

About as contrived as IMMOBILIZERS and not being able to run over people because NON-LETHAL SHOCK DEFENSE SYSTEM.

>City was too hard an act to follow
>Jason Todd twist was foreseen by everyone who even looked at a comic book
>Joker is basically the deuteragonist despite being dead, had more screen time than characters who matter
>Batmobile

Attached: Spider-Peter.jpg (627x476, 54K)

I remember someone in these threads saying that the reason why the tanks were unmanned is that it was the only way to make them small enough for the AK to sneak into the country. Is this true?

What was better:
this...

>“new” character
I love how they kept insisting AK was a totally new character when everyone immediately knew he was just Red Hood.

before it became painfully obvious it was Jason, I was hoping Arkham Knight would be someone from the game's canon like Aaron Cash- finally tired of Batman and Arkham's revolving door shit

What is the point of having a car be so long that it literally cannot turn corners around the city streets? At least the AK batmobile can move around like a goddamn spider.

This
But this is better than the tumbler by a mile.

City was the peak of this franchise. The hilariously bad PC version aside, the ending felt unsatisfying, the main villain was a joke as one would expect a hand to hand fight with Jason Todd but no just another fucking tank battle and the worst one in my eyes is that they had to reuse Joker and make him the focus of the game yet again even though his character arc along with his life ended in Arkham City.

The fucking Bat-tank and the redesigned Gotham killed it for me. Arkham city had a great vibe inpired on the dark deco of Batman TAS and a beefy Batman inspired on the dark knight. It also had a great plot, cool boss battles and whatnot. It´s only weakness, if there was one, is that the detective missions where not that great. A few other methods other than use the batcomputer and interrogation would have been nice. In TAS Batman usually dresses up as a goon to infiltrate mob factions. It could have been easily done and the game would have been a 11/10.

Comparatively Arkham Knight forces you to use the fucking tank to fucking everything. The tank gameplay is forced and boring as fuck. Plus the aesthetic of the new Gotham looks more like something out of the real world than of the comics or TAS. I guess people that are ok with that "Nolan" aesthetic don´t mind but i really didn´t like it. Oracle´s tower was maybe the only exception.

Plus you know, it was fucking obvious that it was Jason Todd.

+ Visuals
+ Bat Armors
+ Batgirl wife
+ City feels very alive even when its empty
+ Traversal is still fun when playing as Batman

- Combat is starting to get stale and tedious
- Story is the worst out of all of them
- Can't play Catwoman outside in the city
- wtf happened to Poison Ivy
- Too much Batmobile

Attached: f19792ec2c67b6d7bafb1d89d42e81dc.jpg (819x1024, 104K)

Arkham Knight has perfected the combat formula, though

I know, but at this point it was just getting old since I had been playing it so much.

>Comparatively Arkham Knight forces you to use the fucking tank to fucking everything
end this meme

It´s not a fucking meme you fucking weeb. The game forces the tank on story missions, side missions and trophy hunting. Sure, you don´t have to do the side missions (except you do because you need the tank leveled up with more armor and equipment if you don´t want to repeat the tank story missions a few times until you get them right)

Nobody bitches and moans when the game forces you to use particular gadgets to solve environmental puzzles. Fuck off with this batmobile meme criticism.

You don't lock endings behind dlc. Especially niggler dlc. Whoever thought a fucking collectible hunt is what will save Gotham should be gassed.
Also where's my batman arkham beyond? Or some crazy parallel earth story, there were few genuinely scary batmans.

I'm going to replay the games when I got some free time. I love them. But AK the character was so stupid, should have been Deathstroke, allied with Scarecrow together they're a perfect reflection of Batman. And the Arkham Knight title would still work, because the moniker refers to Joker's imprisonment; the Asylum in the first game, the City complex in the second, and inside Batman's head in the third.

Attached: 1559441731908.jpg (800x800, 222K)

Why did they throw Hush to the side like that? I thought they hinted at him working with Scarecrow in City, then he's just in a throwaway mission.

Well not just imprisonment, where he runs a muck too, to make him an active element in the story.

Red Hood teaming up with Scarecrow and Deathstroke could still work, but you'd need to have the League of Assassins be a part of the main story instead of shunted to a dlc side quest

Yea Forums hates fun

Yea Forums also has aspergers though

It's a convient excuse.

Comicfag here (yeah I know, fuck me), besides the batmobile shit people already mentioned its kind of a shit plot. The Arkham Knight "reveal" felt like a mandated last minute change by WB since Jason is popular, making Riddler "the race guy" was dumb, and there really was no reason to do the Joker virus plot.

And yeah I'll say it, I pretty damn salty there was no interactable batcave.

>and there really was no reason to do the Joker virus plot.

It's easy to say they had overdone Joker at that point, because they had, but I though having him "haunt" the player was actually really clever, and I ended up enjoying him a lot more than I thought I would.

Attached: 1559205251905.jpg (1920x1080, 380K)

You know what else is contrived? That only like one in five of Jason's guys is armed. Aren't they supposed to be a professional military? Why do so many of them not have guns?

The game has its flaw but I can't stop getting back and play it. The graphics and the atmosphere is so cool. The constant rain, the perfected combat, the flying. Nightwing's DLC with cloudy sky was kino. Croc's mission was scary (at least the first time) and I always leave it as last. I would rather have more sneaky gameplay and interior levels, instead of two vent corridors and fight, but eh.

Shit fucking boss fights and the game forced the Batmobile way too much in the final fourth of the game. I didn't even hate the Batmobile for the rest of the game, thought it was pretty cool. But man, that whole last quarter or so of the game was pretty fucking tedious.

And the lack of good bosses period was a waste of the game having the best combat in the series otherwise.

Game still had the best plot in the series aside from the incredibly obvious twist though.

There's a better way to do that though. You could have had this plot where Bruce is haunted by the fact that he couldn't save Joker, and that his life is different forever now that he's gone, or dare say, paranoia about him really being gone this time. He didn't need to be a sentient virus trying to take over Bruce's body, but his own fear/hallucination that he needed to overcome and let go.

And yeah, the unmasking was kind of fucking lame now that the Batman myth is dead. The fear toxin or whateverthefuck thing at the end wasn't great

Except gadgets take one second to use, while battank interactions take a few minutes at least. It screws the game's rythm, and that's the major critic.

dumbest, most unsatisfying ending to a trilogy since Mass Effect 3, if I am being perfectly candid.

Attached: 1553117534425.jpg (800x800, 72K)

Fuck, if it wasn't for my long ass backlog I'd replay the entire Arkham trilogy with Origins included.

Attached: 1545402877574.jpg (590x850, 52K)

I really enjoyed it. I never followed any news leading up to its release so I wasn't upset by the Arkham Knight reveal.

Fuck all those riddler trophies though.

It's not even the reveal, it's just so damn predictable. The Bat-Tank stuff is by far the bigger complaint though

There is a part on the game where you have to platform with the batmobile and you legit could do the sequence twice as fast on foot. The game would have been better if the mobile just just an option rather than mandatory.

Batmobile was fun during APC chases smashing up the city and driving on the ceilings of tunnels, more of that and less of the tank stuff pls.

This suit design is atrocious

No can't do
I was one of those faggots who buys games on Steam and never plays them.
Now I must attone for my sins and play them

Its really good as an extended episode of BtAS like they all are but as all have said the tankmobile shit BLOWS and is like 40% of the game if not more

Yeah the gay little dicky cape is horrendous. It's the default suit for me chief.

Attached: 721444.png (1920x1080, 929K)

i really liked the batmobile

It overuses the Batmobile a lot with it being a requirement for every single boss fight and puzzle, but otherwise it's the best Batman game, period.

Yes, even with the shitty Arkham Knight twist and character. Scarecrow and Joker make up for it.

What's wrong with the PC port?
I just wasted like $8 for a key that included the game and all the DLC.

ign was right too much mobile, bosses were incredibly disappointing, theres no story

Was AK the last mainstream AAA western game to feature secy women?

Attached: 1547480967907.jpg (1920x1080, 239K)

on launch it was a dumpster fire, sub 20 framerates, memory leaks, the works

it got better a few weeks later, haven't played in a long time so don't know what it's current state is.

nowadays nothing
but Rocksteady spent 2 years patching it, it used something like 18GB RAM, 6+GB VRAM and it got removed from stores like twice

At the time of release it was near unplayable unless you had a $4000 rig and even then you ran risk of poor performance. Well more accurately it chugged and it was completey random whether the game would run correctly or not.
This was fixed months after the original release when it was put back on sale. It runs fine nowadays, even on prehistoric systems.

Eastern Europe that barely counts.

>unless you had a $4000 rig
It wasn't THAT bad, I built a new pc around the same time (got the game for free with my 970 actually) and it was only moderately shit, 30-40 dips at worst. Problems absolutely galore but I felt like I dodged a tornado with how people were reacting here.

I wonder if Batman has ever considered a little fun time with Harley.

Cassie is sexy in MK11

If it ain’t Talia or Selina, the Batdick is closed for business

Did they ever improve the return to arkham games on ps4?

Combat is fun as usual tho

What does Bruce see in Talia?

His batdick

But she's a lunatic

Why doesn't Batman use a sandbag shotgun at least?

Men want to dick the crazy.
That's how it always goes.

AK keeps flip flopping on whether or not he wants to kill Batman

He'd probably like Harley then.

Hell I know I do.

Nothing

Guns are bad.
Sniping thugs' gun with his disruptor is totally different.

Where did you get a key for 8 bucks? I've never played any of these games and my interest is peaked from reading this thread.

While I agree the port is really bad they did make up for it by giving out every single arkham game with the DLC's including arkham blackgate for free if you bought arkham knight so I thought it was a great deal

Even the last boss was a batmobile mission go fuck yourself user

Didn't know that, always wondered why I had Origins in my library

Yeah I bought Arkham Knight on g2a for like 16 dollars soon after release and ended up with all of the arkham games a month or two later

Rocksteady is making some shit and I hope it isn't a fucking Superman game.
Dunno what shovelware WB Montreal is shitting out.

>IF YOU KILL A KILLER, THE NUMBER OF KILLERS IN THE WORLD STAYS THE SAME!!
but what if I killed two killers?

It's my second favorite.
Asylum>Knight>>>City>>Blackgate>Origin

>gameplay switches over to the Joker
>immediately puts you in the Batmobile

If they're specifying *a* killer then they're only referring to one killer.
If you're a double homicide killer than you're twice the killer.

Speaking of Blackgate, is it worth the price of admission? I know it's a Vita title and I know it's more sidescrolling + occasional 3D landscape but does it hold up?

>game hypes up the villains teaming up
>they don't actually team up
>the night where Batman "dies" is treated like any other night for the villains
>the only villains that get closure are some DLC characters

>but after Knight came along people just immediately forgot not just about it but the Arkham series entirely

That's because this is the end of the series no matter what now. A mediocre ending hurts a lot.

I like it, and I think it's worth like 10 bucks. Don't expect anything out of it though, it's totally just a sidequel

>can we talk about how cool it was that rocksteady revealed that statue saying batman died, causing everyone to expect him to be die of Joker AIDS even though he totally didnt

>The Joker, again. Even beyond death.

On one hand, the Joker not being a hallucination at some point would've been dumb.

On the other hand, literally the whole game!?

>Why does Yea Forums ___
leddit

This was the best outfit in the series.

>boss fights were based on that stupid batmobile
>that part where you retrieve the batmobvile through the smog was pretty kino, but the batmobile shouldve stayed broken
>that part at the beginning where he 'dies' with the joker was pretty kino

>that DLC with that qt redhead
it had so much more potential if they let go of the batmobile

Sadly the thread is dying but heres my opinion on why the batmobile was annoying and justifies the hate, and its not just a meme of "battank lmao".
Rocksteady was seemingly too proud the the batmobile (that even fans wanted) but they used it far too much, you had tank combat, tank races, tank puzzles, etc. Even in Batman only parts you had at least one small batmobile segment. Its important both in gameplay and in the story thats why when you are forced to leave the batmobile behind its taken as a huge deal.
Now the game was good, the series is consistently good but adds too little, the gadgets werent nearly as fun or inventive as the other games, the combat stayed largely the same but at the very least ramped up in difficulty early on, the multi takedowns were unnecessary since it made some encounters far easier, the AI was improved which is good, the combat arenas werent nearly as well put together as the other games, boss fights were a joke, the story was also not very good for the most part, the city was fantastic and it had great T&A.
Overall it was good but the bad is really noticeable since the good was already good in the other games.

>set up Blight as the main villain
>"This story is about the return of Derek Powers after his disappearance in Season 1."
>"It's a whole new story that's never been told before and we're really anxious to leave our mark on the character."
>he gets killed and replaced as the main villain by Joker Beyond

There. I saved you the disappointment.

Poison Ivy did a complete 180 in character in this game. Suddenly she doesn't hate all humans enough to kill them on sight and she's human enough to have a heroic sacrifice.

Also, Batman threatening to burn every plant in Gotham was a dumb and childish threat.

The thing about the batmobile is that its introduced as a mean to even the odds. To be an outside context solution.
Think that you got Batman dead to rights? Here comes the Batmobile to create a diversion or take down what he cannot deal with by himself.
Its actually used in that way a fair bit during the story, but then even the Riddler is in on it with his dumb race tracks.

>kills five people
>recovers from surgery for a year
>this culminates in him walking past a receptionist

Great writing.

Tyler Joker Durden would have been fine it was its own thing.

Instead, they made Joker some kind of magical clown virus. Which makes the Joker look like less of a villain because he's a guy infected by the same virus.

And they also retconned all of the Joker blood deaths in City, even though the amount of people that took that blood made no sense.

Don't you ever post this filth ever again.

>loud
>obnoxious
>mentally ill
>considered dumb by Batman

I doubt it.

But I only have one body.

everyone is dumb in comparison to Batman

I don't get this. Terry's cartoon suit would actually work just fine in, even if the rest of the world is photorealistic.
Just look at live action deadpool. You can easily have white animated eyes/facial features on a suit, even if everything else around it is realistic.

Is Arkham Asylum the best designed suit of them all? In general?

Because Yea Forums is retarded

Someone please explain to me why the batmobile requires you to have the acceleration down full throttle in order to stick to walls? It makes handling pipes and shit super awkward. Especially in that last FUCKING riddler course.

Where does Riddler get all the money to build all this shit, anyway?

he's a capeshit villain, he probably steals it

Doesn't he have this entire entourage of flunkies helping him out? He could easily be stealing money under the table. Considering in City they were inside Cobblepot's crew and I think Strange's crew it wouldn't be farfetched, and he could also be blackmailing people considering his significant information on everyone.

Can someone tell me the art of blade dodging because no matter how many times I do this, I always get sliced once.

you don't press Y each time, you hold it down and time the back movements only

Ew

Attached: 1531359274177.jpg (637x583, 38K)

Hold counter and press down with each slash and on the final one you either let go or he auto-counters, can't remember which.

wait, what? it says that you need to press it each time

Pretty sure you can do it either way, but I haven't played those games in a while.

>What went wrong?

The "leak" wasn't true.

>there will never be a Castle Crashers-styled beat-em-up where you play as Batman and all the the batfamily

Attached: batfamily.jpg (1920x1080, 659K)

It's this smooth motion of counter + back at every slash but you have to hold the button briefly as you press back, you don't just press it like a normal counter. Best way to test it is against guys with daggers, the assassins with the katanas are a bit harder because they're faster and have an extra slash.

Bruce Wayne has a harem of top models, Bats has a harem of batboys. Where and how do we squeeze in fun with Harley. And he isn't called The Dark Knight because he goes around raping people.

what does Knight have to do with inprisonment? i think you mean guard

Yea Forums hates everything
Autists thinks being contrarian makes you look cool

Isn't Batman married to Catwoman in the comics at this time, only she cucked him?

I know the controls to do it, and I know I'm pushing away every time the knife comes at me, but I always manage to get nicked. The only time I got it perfectly was in the challenge mode.

>Rocksteady: The villian is someone new to the Batman universe. His identity is unknown.
>Crowd: Is it Jason Todd?
>Rocksteady: NO!
>it's Jason Todd

For a Second I thought this was a thread about Injustice 2, and was about to talk about how retarded it is for batman to go autistic about killing villains who deserve the death penalty or worse.

joker was fine in knight, he served his purpose well and it was done in a different way. origins however was terrible with that shit. game is hyped up to be about a bunch of smaller villains trying to kill batman. that plotline ends early and all we see is bane and the same joker origin story we have seen a million times but no different

>The "leak" wasn't true.

Ah those were the days. The minor shitstorm this caused across the nerd portion of the internet was hilarious. People were legitimately mad they thought they'd had the game spoiled and there were youtubers trying to find inconsistencies with promo material to debunk it and shit. Got more traction than any other fake leak I've ever seen on Yea Forums because it managed to actually predict a number of things that were in the game before they were revealed and there's so much detail. Also I think people wanted to believe it cause the shit we got was so disappointing fuck.

>100% the game to get a new cutscene of 30 seconds
I pity the fools who thought they were getting something good.

this ironic thing is that the pc port now is completely fine. it runs really well even on the highest settings, well at least on my machine. i also encountered literally no bugs.

>literally one of, if not THE worst PC port ever
Saint Rows 2 exists.
youtube.com/watch?v=HHshhWersOs

Nigger, are you retarded? There's literally batmobile platforming. It killed the game.

bruce has no attachment to quincy

No fucking batcave.

Well yes, but in context of playing all those games where is the Joker every time it gets tiring. Even more on the tail of Origins where the twist just broke the story.
Ignoring Origins makes it fit better, but even then playing up the Joker for the fourth time become excessive. The performance is great and its close to the best Killing Joke performance we will ever see but adding the viral effect and the infected was just unnecessary.

Don't get me wrong I like the game, but its still a fault it has.

who cares about the batcave

i don't understand your criticism of knight's gotham. it felt really accurate to what gotham is supposed to look like and it didn't even look like nolan grittyshit at all. did you go to all the islands? also pretty sure arkham city is north gotham and this is south gotham

Episodic Batman game with Arkham gameplay would be top tier.

everyone else has already said it but let me put it this way. I pre-ordered it through a keysite so I only paid 40 for the deluxe version but upon release it was so choppy, i could barely make it past the tutorial. I just gave up on running it. After a few patches came out, I suddenly had EVERY batman game WB made in my steam account. It was so bad they had to give away their entire batman library to customers to make it up to them. So in essence, I paid 40 and got nearly 200 in games because of how inept they were.

The main things I would have liked to see is proper free roam with multiple characters and as many of the batfamily as possible.
Dickbats and Damian with proper dialogue could be pretty fun.

It sucks that in AK the tag team battle mechanic remove all your special combos when fighting as anyone but Batman. I feel really gimped whenever I switch characters.

You fight Deathstroke in a tank and then, in a cutscene, knock him out in one punch.

Fuck this game.

Everyone wants a Batman Beyond game and even though I agree it'd be sick, I'd rather have something like or a rough adaptation of Morrison's Batman run with expanded gameplay mechanics introduced in AK. I want an entire game where I can choose a partner and brawl or stealth my way with said partner, with the game being designed around it. And fuck it, give me the option to go in there without even Batman, so I could just use Dick and Damian or something.

And give me proper, well-designed boss fights.

The villains and boss battles were ass. Everything else was good.

>hey feds, Scarecrow is threatening to nuke the city with fear toxin, maybe can we get some help please?
>"lol no"
What did the US government mean by this?

This is legitimately better than what was actually in the game.

It's always funny how random neckbeards over the internet come up with better shit than professionals in the entertainment industry do.

How do we feel about how Arkham Knight handled Azrael?

>Joker Beyond
Already dead, user. He had his own movie and everything.

Retarded. It's like they didn't even try to adapt either Azraels.

Attached: 17.jpg (1200x1815, 337K)

Dog shit pc port

His Batsuit looked cooler than that ugly shit.

Meh, I like it, but prefer his Azrael suit.

Attached: 31.jpg (900x1356, 320K)

Azrael suit literally looks like something someone tossed together in a few minutes on that superhero generator site from the early 00s.

You do realize that everything Azrael was made from the early-mid 90s right? And to say that while praising the Azbat suit?

Attached: 02.jpg (963x1509, 349K)

The point is that it looks like it's put together from a bunch of random assets.
