I can not understand the speedrunning scene around this game. I 100% all six of my PS2 save files fair and square.

moving fast is fun and some of the tricks can skip a lot of the bullshit in the game

I don't understand why the Movie game gets so much praise. The racing levels are boring as hell and the constant slide levels are tedious the further you go.
The horde levels are pretty annoying challenges too but at least the game lets health constantly respawn so it's manageable.
The actual levels themselves are admittedly pretty fun, but there's so few of them drowned under the constant racing and sliding that it really brings the game down, especially when they expect you to do the same racing level 4 times.
I just wanna know if there's something I'm missing that makes it so great, because to me it seems like a huge step down from BFBB

People don't really like the genre shifts, but I thought the slide levels were a lot of fun and the racing levels could be alright. What really sucked was the filler like the extremely strict ring/time challenges and the sonic wave guitar challenges which were often infuriating and were, at least partially, required to complete the game. Progression-wise it's a downgrade with the strict linear progression in comparison to the more open (yet linear in terms of actual levels) BfBB and the presentation was also pretty bad with the powerpoint cutscenes. But when it's good it's on par with BfBB. It's like a more hardcore dose of BfBB with a lot of bullshit also involved.

CftKK is at least worth one playthrough which is saying a lot more than a lot of the other games there

GC/PS2/Xbox are the same multiplat game with minor differences between versions. Xbox has the best performance, loadtime and graphics. PC is a weird point and click game. GBA is a 2D platformer.
