The mods just polish a turd.
But if you like 3 and NV you'll like 4 anyway. Yes, the story is shit, and the gameplay is dumbed down, but it's still the same old shit.

If you just want more exploring and looting yes, if you care about quests no.

That's a shame desu.
I played 3 and NV at release, wanted something to scratch the itch while its on sale.

The only fun way to play fallout 4 is to play it like a survival simulator.
Get a mod like War Never Changes, which rebalances survival to make both enemy and player damage realistic, get a mod that adds camping, and get a ton of weapon/armor mods and go at it.
Also set timescale to 6.

Also try to avoid the settlement crap as much as possible, as it tends to trivialize the survival aspect of the game

I recommend the Horizon mod, it overhauls the entire game and turns the game into a good survival shooter.

>just change the timescale lol
Easiest way to break your game.

Is the porn stuff on Skyrim's level yet?

If you do try this, just be prepared to eat shit. The game will be brutal early on, as Fallout 4's initial combat scenarios were clearly not designed with Horizon's realistic combat in mind.
