I met this guy and the guy that voices Dutch a few weeks ago at Detroit comic con, absolute professionals with a deep love and respect for the work they did on rdr2. They've always had SAG-AFTRA, devs can choose to hire union VAs or not though the best ones are usually union because they know/believe they're worth it. The strike back in 2016-17 ended though they never got their residuals.
