I spent a good 5 years of my childhood playing this game and then went cold turkey for 5 years
I find myself super nostalgic for the game but every time I try to pick it back up I just can't recapture that feel I used to feel. I want to go back but I can't

Right now you can get Regular, fire, explosion, and projectile protection on a single piece of armor.

I hate these fucking assholes, they leave me with two hearts from one hit wearing full iron armor.

Same, the game is there, but not the feeling of wonder that I had as a kid in the good old days. Those days went by so fast, I never got a chance to appreciate them. Though, I'm happy I got to experience them. I guess its one the reasons why I can't help feeling both happy and sad while playing.

When skyblock came out I was inspired to make a zelda-style dungeon out of bedrock and had piston doors made out of diamond blocks that you needed redstone torches (small keys) to open. Also a lava room with chests on the other side, and the ceiling had pistons that open to bring in water.
I never finished it unfortunately.

Was laggy as shit, and the worldgen flowers are ugly

This is my first real survival world, I'm pretty lucky I think. I'll probably settle here since mobs don't spawn on mushroom islands, but it'll be a lot of work replacing all the mycelium with grass.

I got a few nice biomes near too.
