My guess is that they are turning Xbox Game Pass into a streaming service, like google stadia or Netflix, but unlike google you’ll play a flat rate to get access to the available games. No downloads, you just play it on anything that supports the Xbox Gamepass (or Xbox Live) app, be it your computer, smart tv, games console or mobile device.

The PC audience is not lucrative for console makers, unless you do a Microsoft and sell to them directly. first of all PC gamers are a small segment of the market. When microsoft spent that 6 billion on Minecraft people the next day were saying that they were going to shut down their console division as well. Yea Forumsirgins are the lowest IQ humans in existence.

Look, I'm not going to pretend it was amazing, but the time powers were fun to use, the story and world was built up pretty heavily so it was interesting, the characters were all pretty interesting particularly Martin Hatch and Jack Joyce, and the setup for the sequel involves creatures that live in areas where time has stopped and can't be killed unless you kill the 100+ iterations of the person coming after you on top of several other points. They set it up to have an even better sequel and we're probably never going to see it outside of some easter eggs in Contact if we're lucky. Hell, the TV idea alone was pretty interesting because it's neat to see you finding objects in-game affecting that story and your choices change the entire landscape of the story as well with CIA either becoming completely paranoid or a dictator.

sony are literally leaving the console market. it's the only reason they're giving microsoft tens of billions for their xcloud servers to stream games. if it was some secondary shit sony didn't care about they wouldn't be paying top dollar to their biggest rival and would have gone with shitty amazon servers instead.

Dunno if any of that even matters when half the story aka the TV episodes are streamed from Microsoft servers and will therefore be unavailable in another couple years at the latest.
