video games and clowns are great as part of any cultural experience but if we all think about clowns as a cultural artifact that will never become accepted there is still a huge gap between clowns and their true audience. There was a time that it was OK for boys like me and my father to be a young person and to make videos and to have fun because we were in love with the world. Now that we've all come of age, there needs to be a new understanding, both from society and parents who can feel supported to help bring this out and to tell it to the mainstream.

I think they have a lot in common because clowns are just so weird, they have their very own style of playing the game. I think they're inspired by the gaming community because both are social networks; it's kind of like a community of friends with a game and they have a lot of friends, lots of fans, it just makes it that much more compelling. There seems to be a lot of creativity that goes on behind the scenes in the community and I think that's a great thing.

A lot of what is going on behind the scenes is making it fun to share that crazy experience you've got when you're out out making video games
