Absolutely nothing.
Jerking their dicks to the mcduck fortune steam has made for them.
Honestly wonder why the creative teams didnt leave sooner.
cringe and redditpilled
No, really, what ARE they doing? What is it they get paid to do? What is it they do 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week?
The way their teams are structured and how they work as a company has halted their progress to a crawl.
I remember seeing an AMA post where a former employee was talking about how dysfunctional the company is due to the lack of any real management
Failed projects.
m-maintain steam? idk
Counting billions of dollars is hard job m8
Jerking their dicks and writing 50 page essays on what to add into the next year's Dota 2 compendium.
>letting TF2 team anywhere near the game after Meet Your Match
It's only gonna get worse, mate
Presumably hurl ideas at upcoming projects regardless of how many of them stick or not.
Beknownst to everybody involved, the longer they go on without actually making any tangible progress on said project, the longer they can go on getting paid to play with their dicks.
Serious answer?
>Three VR """games"""
>Autochess
>Campo Santo's walking sim because they're technically part of Valve now
>Oh and whatever the fuck that hyperautist Icefrog does
Regardless of whether or not they'll release the damn things, it has to be noted that a majority of their employees were working on the Index for god knows how long. And now that it's out there's a lot of free hands doing fuck all again. So that's a lot of manpower that can be rallied to an actual game that won't actually happen.
I wonder how long it's been since Robin Walker touched his own game
Why are you waiting around for an update for a game that's over 10 years old? Keep playing the same maps over and over again or fuck off.
I just want an update to MVM man, give me a few new maps with new robots/mechanics and release that damned comic.
They have a system where there are a couple "major" works projects but nobody is forced to stick to a single project, so what happens is somebody will write some code, draw some concept art or whatever until theyre bored then move onto another project. They dont have schedules and there is no real rules, and because "no rules rulez" is in their contracts they cant be fired for it.
memechess is going to get shown off at TI but what are the chances that Valve actually shows up in E3 for their gimmicky VR shit?
But i need them to remove graphical options, worsen performances, add some usless weapons and half a million shitty cosmetics
Going on Glassdoor and looking at employee reviews of various game companies is always fun
open source-tress 2 when?
>but what are the chances that Valve actually shows up in E3 for their gimmicky VR shit?
LMAO
No chance nigga.
Why are people so dependant on updates? Can't you people just enjoy playing a game from time to time, without it having to constantly pump out new content?
i want them to punish pyros that don't know how to play and only w+m1
>Half Life 3 will unironically be a VR exclusive in your lifetime
What did we do to deserve this garbage?
>Can't you people just enjoy playing a game from time to time, without it having to constantly pump out new content?
interest wanes over time dude. most of the player base will leave after a few months following a game's release or a new update, and then there is a slow decline following that. It's very much logarithmic. New updates cause a surge in player count that keeps the game and community alive.
Wasn't VNN releasing a video about this subject?
()
The revealing of OP, a fanfiction.
I actually heard its way more cancerous than that.
You're are per contract allowed to do whatever, but of course it's a fucking company so major projects gets the most attention and resources. So while you're technically allowed to do whatever, you're still passive aggressively pushed towards working on whatever the company wants you to work on without directly forcing you.
You forgot SAO tier brain interfacing research
No, they do that at real conventions like GDC instead of a meme marketing show for idiots.
wasting money on garbage
Got a link to an article lad?
What
Stuff the VNN guy talked about with Gabe's son in an interview.
The video is 80 minutes long tho and I don't have timestamps, sorry user.
youtube.com
Buh user veeare is teh future!
Nobody wants to play on smelly ol controllers any more, its all about flailing your arms around in a dark secluded room like an idiot.
>VNN
suprised he hasn't offed himself at this point. Dude is hated by every valve related community out there.
Learn to take everything he says with a grain of salt because 90% of the time he's just scrounging for content.
Cool, that doesn't change that in this video it's not him saying things but Gray Newell.
this
is miss the valve 24/7 KOTH and CTF servers, matchmaking is trash and teams get stacked halfway through a match when shitters RQ
the future is now
I just want them to release that final comic that wraps up the meta-plot with the australium and the administrator. I actually got really invested in the writing, and those bastards ended it on a cliffhanger.
I hate the future.
I remember when you could buy a game and keep playing for over decade because it had modding support where you would get TCs, and servers were dedicated so a steady population of even as little as 500 people was more than enough for community to be healthy.
Now if a matchmaker isn't fed at minimum several tens of thousands of people the wait time crawl to a stop and people get mad they can't grind out some dumb cosmetic.
Looks like communism fails once again.
