Cyberpunk 2077 DID start as this gritty, dirty Deus Ex/Blade Runner dystopian world and their announcement CGI trailer is proof of that. But somewhere down the line after Witcher 1 these cheap Polish whores got obsessed with MONEY MONEY MONEY and they wanted to grow and expand and become a big player in the publisher world.
Hence why Witcher 2 was already such a dumbed down piece of shit and why it copied Dark Souls' combat - because at the time Dark Souls was the shizzle and everyone talked about it.
They threw away their integrity and principles out the windows just after one game. Whereas with Witcher 1 they did everything how they wanted it to be, every game afterwards was just chasing the most successful and popular trends.

Witcher 3 was butchered to chase the Skyrim audience - they even bluntly said it in interviews that they want the Skyrim audience
