Op if you can draw like that but much smaller as part of an upper torso portrait you are well on your way to making high quality comics. Your level of detail increases the smaller your image is.

Plant your wrist on the paper and move your nib in a clean line like a digger arcing it's bucket. Also take some deep breaths beforehand to give you the high oxygen levels needed to last through holding your breath for a few seconds.
