Growing up with the ACB makes both of them look really fucking weird to me.

E10 was a later addition while the rest had existed before then, I think it was created because of how broad the definition was for E and T and so games got away with certain things in E rated games that made parents upset

E10 is needlessly specific. What can you show to a 10-year-old that you can't show to a 9-year-old?

E10 means you can make sexual references and have more crude humor without getting bumped up to a T rating, though now the ESRB is so cucked that having a girl's thigh on screen will get you bumped up to an AO now

Most Mario games fall into that, it's more like the E rating
We don't have an AO rating, we just slap pegi a 18 and call it a day
Never got the difference between pegi 3 and 7 or 12 and 16

Black and white so it doesn't stick out as much. Decently designed, so it kinda looks cool.

ESRB is visually similar to US movie ratings, and PEGI is identical to BBFC ratings down to the specific ages.

that being said, i don't see why you would need more than about 3 ratings. E, T, and M seem comprehensive enough, if you need more detail you should be doing the research before you buy anyway
