TFU was hot consolized garbage. I think this game might actually be a lot better, maybe even a spiritual successor to the Jedi Knight games.
From what the trailers show, the main protag is far from an edgelord - more like a young and inexperienced person that fucks up by following his heart.
I hate to say it, but I might actually be a little hype for an EA game. Looking forward to seeing the gameplay later today.

even if the gameplay is serviceable, story is going to be bland safe garbage. in NuBF2, your character defected from the empire like 3 missions in the game exactly as Yea Forums predicted despite the marketers calling it a true imperial story. this games story will take its jedi-on-the-run concept and neuter it too and well be left with another fucking fps that does nothing special.

Aside from Kylo Ren and bits of Rogue One, the new Star Wars went pretty damn hard in the strict good/evil dichotomy, especially in the high profile media. All the villain and antihero-centric stories have been relegated to novels and comic books. There's no way they'll muddle the waters here, it's gonna be another boring, devoid of personality, forgettable Jedi offshoot like Kanan and Ezra.
