There are plenty of characters that get shit on hard in regards to Smash, whether they're playable in Smash or not playable in Smash. Or did you forget the times characters like Ashley, Shantae, Incineroar, Corrin, and so on got shit on hard for either those characters not making it in as playable, or because they are playable? genofag here. I guess I gave up. I don't hate Erdrick though, I don't have any real opinion on the character. Actual DQ fans are bros, but I'm sure 99% of Erdrick shitposting is from people who've never played the games before. I'm not gonna let their bullshit negatively affect what I think of the game or the character.
That being said, I'd prefer Neku to be the SE rep over Erdrick.

I try not to put much into leaks, but it’s interesting to me how none of them strictly specify that Banjo will be at E3. What if he is a part of the pass, just not revealed Tuesday? The fallout would be massive, but if he was to be revealed in a later spot it truly would be a shitposting epic worthy of the hero’s journey.
Banjo balances out Erdrick. The former makes the latter more tolerable, even enjoyable I’d say. Something for both the east and the west.
