I played THPS2 earlier this year and while I liked it in general it can't compete with 3. I'm not sure if it's just my dislike of the money system compared to skill points and hidden unlocks like boards, or the simple fact that being on a previous system makes the framerate eat shit, but either way it's a shame. 2 has some great levels and an even better soundtrack than 3. It's an 8.5 compared to the 10 that is 3.

Vent is slow and clunky, managing servers is a nightmare, it's not free to host. The text chat is cancer.

Seriously, at least try discord. I think you're heavily underestimating how good it really is. I know this is Yea Forums and you're trying to fit in but this isn't something to be all contrarian about, discord is light-years ahead of everything else right now

Perhaps so. I wouldn't say EVERYTHING has been done, but what has been done already can be reiterated to perfection. I would honestly take Skate 5 at this point because it's horrid how much of a drought there is for this genre.
