I get that SMM2 talk died like a rock for a reason, but tomorrow is the day we may learn more new information. Don't forget it was one of their tourneys where we found the final name for the original and I think that was when we learned about skinny mushrooms and goombas in stilettos.

I'd argue that there is an appropriate level of difference between the two. There is a smooth and consistent transition of art style/fidelity throughout the themes
there's just something uncanny to be about the way it looks in SMB3. I'll get over it.

I might be wrong but I think it's just a regular thing on the item wheel. Another thing to note is that the staff said MOST items will be unlocked from the start. Hopefully they'll mention more about how to unlock things either tomorrow or during the Treehouse.

SMB2 theme is less likely than people expect.
It only has 2 level songs(overworld and cave) which means they have to make 8 new songs from scratch.
I don't say it's not gonna happen but I think Nintendo would rather cut corners and choose other games instead.

SMB2 is the only likely one. They would've revealed an Odyssey skin right off the bat if it was that game. Mario Land would be cool but I just don't see it working.
