Never played it because I don't like artstyle, but we are in a drought of stealth games right now. Is it worth it?

>Is it worth it?
Yes especially since the price has dropped to like $20
Tons of replay value, fun abilities/tools, and every level is well designed with multiple ways to approach the objectives. I'm a big fan of the lore too and there's a lot of optional reading that builds the world.
It is, it's a pretty fun game
Great game, with great level design and systems.
its fun but its incredibly watered down stealth and you have to stunt yourself if you want any semblance of difficulty
it's pretty great and goes on sale for like 5$ including the dlc.
I haven't gotten around to playing the sequel but this game is amazing. My only complaint is the Chaos system has one or two choices that could have been handled better. The amount of detail this game has for choices is amusing. Enjoy the party.
how the heck can you not like this art?
Is Dishonored 2 along with the DLC worth it? I haven't bought it yet since reviews say that the entire game is a huge step down from the first, including gameplay, story, characters, level design etc.
Far away it looks fine, but when you look at anything up close, everything is so flat and blurry. Like the game doesn't make use of normal maps at all, so everything feels like a fake film set instead of a 3d real world.
nah it's good, it's just that it's optimized terribly so you gotta have a monster rig
nope. it's worse than the first in pretty much every way. even the powers and runes are like 95% copy pasted.
Mega yikes. I figured that was the case. I remember the Steam reviews at launch mentioning how stealth is busted and how the level design after the mansion isn't very good.
It's not a stealth game
Don't listen to him. The gameplay is pretty much functionally the same as the first except you get 2 options as playable characters with different powers. Yeah the runes are copy pasted, but you don't have to use them. They can make you extremely OP. That being said it's a great game. I bought it years ago on a sale and never played it. I recently ran through it and it was a fun game. The level designs are pretty good, and there's a few of them that I really enjoyed. The mechanical mansion and time warp levels were 10/10.
Story any good? What about the DLC? I don't exactly like the "Death of the Outsider" concept, along with playing as a nigel
Didn't buy any of the DLC, and story is pretty average. But the game play is fun. I won't say it's great, but assassinating people 10 different ways was good and both characters have different powers so replayability is good as well.
For cheap, absolutely. However its less a true stealth game and more a simple immersive sim.
Stealh is definitely an option but relies on line of sight only.
The powers are somewhat uneven but most of them can be used for either going all out or remaining unseen.
The best way to enjoy the game is to play it twice to get both endings. Its also worht it to explore the hub to get the most of the work done for the ambience.
Playing the game once howver you feel like then using a different gameplay in a subsequent playthrough is best
Yes, but it's not a stealth game. It's at its best when it's a teleporting speedrun murder simulator.
Game mechanics are much improved, particularly for people who want non-lethal options. The story is kind of average, but to be honest I didn't find the actual plot interesting in the first either, although I loved the way it was paced and laid out. Definitely worth playing the second if you liked the first. It's badly optimized though for some reason.
Good but not great. Very much worth it at a discount.
better then 2
>Dishonored
>steath game
That possibly the worst way to play the game. Stealth feels so cheap and tack on it not even fun with how OP your power is but playing the game as the superpower vengeance seeking simulation, Now that some good quality fun as you decimation and entire palace of soldiers in less than a few seconds with the right power and tools
