All while the shrinking community SWEARS it's not dead and keeps posting skewed numbers, while the community aspect and all the hype the game had years ago has all but evaporated.

Only people left still playing dota, dota 2 and not auto chess, are those that have played for so long they can't stop or those that don't know any better, they didn't knew how the game was back then.

The game has been bleeding players and it's only gaining chinese players.
And even with that gain, it's still nowhere close to the peaks it had 4 years ago of 1.2 million.

It had a small peak with mars release but it's already going back to the downward spiral it had before that update.

The only relevance dota has is tis each year (with each year having less attention than last year) and recently auto chess, which is getting a stand alone and taking even more resources away from the dota team.

You can cry and scream and say I'm wrong all you want, but the game IS dying and has been dying for a long time, you can deny it but you'll eventually see.
This has happened to every single other valve game until they're left in maintenance mode where they're a shadow of their former selves and it's happening again, I don't know why you refuse to see all the signs.

the game came out on 2013 man, if its time to time let it die but i just dont see whats the point of this thread when the gamne is till number 1 on the steam chart, make this thread when is not even on the chart

m8 even dota 1 still got played straight up into 2015 or so, this game isnt dying anytime soon

I just moved to it from league and i love it so far i wish i started to play it sooner the characters are way better designed.

The game may not actually be dead but it sure fucking feels like it. Why does every fucking all-pick match take 5-6 minutes to find 10 players for, in a game that PRIDES itself on not having region locks?

If I have to play with fucking Russians and Asians then I should at least be able to get into a game quickly.

I went from dota to league
cant stand how little they update it and that icefrog charm went away a long time ago, doubt he actually designs the game anymore.
all my friends stop playing it, all the big communities around it left, item trading went to shit, etc

league is as boring as it gets for me right now every champ release just feels the fucking same and they keep reworking old characters that were actually unique into generic 50 dash bullshit, aatrox was the last straw for me.

The "big" number which is almost 400k less than when it was actually alive and going lower, is pretty much just asians and bots.
Again, most of the people still playing the game are asians or people semi new to it that don't know any better.
The one time queues took this long was in early beta.

Also, worth noting how like 150k of those people are actually playing auto chess, not dota.
