5 is mostly good but Giorno is worst jojo, Diavolo is worst villain and the race for the arrow finale is offensively bad given how good literally every other part's ending is. Mista and Bruno completely carry the part and the part is noticeably worse whenever they're not in focus.

Part 6 is mostly bad, with the first third or so being the worst Jojo has EVER been, but Jolyne is an engaging jojo and the last couple of fights are so mind blowingly good that they make people look back at the rest of the part with rosey glasses.

1-3 are a complete package but it's mostly trash. Joseph literally carries both of the parts he's in. And Dio vs Jotaro, Darby vs Jotaro are the only good fights within those three.

Araki had another idea in mind for the final battle but wound up changing his mind at the last minute. Remember this was back when Jojo came out on a weekly schedule, so he had very little time to come up with something else on the fly.
I've always had this idea that what Araki originally planed was for Josuke to be fighting Kira for the Arrow and while breaking off a piece of it he uses Crazy Diamonds fixing ability right as Bite the Dust activated. It would cause a sort of "time backfire" that would have flung him into his own past. Josuke would then realize after helping his mother and himself in that snow storm that he ended becoming the kind stranger he had always looked up to. He would then use Crazy Diamond to "fix" the arrow piece he still had which would pull him forward in time back to his battle with Kira. At some point Kira would land a fatal blow on Josuke but he can now heal himself with Crazy Diamond, because the real reason he couldn't before was that he subconsciously believed it to be selfish, but knowing now that he is in fact the man he had always wanted to be, he believes himself to be worthy.

It's the best fight non-finale fight that the anime has covered so far. Part 4's finale got fucked up a little, too. Josuke and Kira flicking garbage at each other through the window was much better in the manga.

Josuke definitely has the best track record in the series for fights, with his only competition for average quality being Bruno and Mista. It's fucking crazy how much mileage Araki got out of those three. If we're doing individual fights, I think these fights edge it out a bit:

Josuke has a lot of facets to his personality and is genuinely clever without being so smart he's untouchable - he has to do a lot of lateral thinking. Its the part where stands really proved their versatility and its the first part where he got really, really good at writing stand fights. The way Josuke uses Crazy Diamond blows anything in part 3 out of the water as far as creativity goes. He might also just be from a small town.

The manga conveys a pacing and sense of speed that simply isn't there in the anime. Mostly because David insists on staying nearly one to one with the panels. Beach Boy/Grateful Dead also got hurt by this when Bruno tackled that fucker out of the train.

Who did he know that could've helped against King Crimson? Jotaro and Polnareff split up on purpose, so that rules him out. But I suppose if Jotaro had been there, and King Crimson went for Polnareff first, Jotaro could've taken him out after with Za Warudo. Still, Pol probably would've died.

When you’re working no stop for over 10 years some quality fluctuation is bound to happen. JoJo completed 10 years of publication near the end of VA’s run. All weekly by the way.
Araki went on a one year hiatus after it was completed and then started Stone Ocean after that.

Josuke can't heal himself.

Jouske should be a range/rush down hybrid but he has to "build" his projectiles by punching his opponents or by using a special move to grab some of the floor to throw.
