They have a long history of making relatively high quality video games.
And they have a ridiculously large budget to do whatever they want.

I don't know. Every company makes remakes and sequels or relies on familiar gameplays etc. etc. But nintendo is really in my honest opinion. Just slam zelda, mario, eh metroid whatever in the name and will sell well and get good reviews.

I know this isn't a fair comparison, but look at fucking Sonic compared to Mario. Mario has NEVER had a "bad" first party game. There's never been a Mario where he suddenly is dressed up like a knight or where you glitch through the floor constantly or it runs at like 12 FPS or any other number of horrible shit Sonic has done.

And the same goes for basically all Nintendo games. They just fucking work.
